I'm not sure what items of value to pawn two young girls would have in their possession. And then why the tromp through the woods just for a backpack?

Why murder innocent children? Nothing in this case makes sense-anythings possible.

In the meantime, no one needs to believe what I type but the image expert donated his time at no cost and is highly respected in his field. There is a wealth of information on that thread from him on how easily photos get distorted.

And kudos to Nin for her work and Billy Mabou (works in the field) as well--(both on the image thread) along with others who did so many experiments in an effort to explain the image.

Hi SS- I looked this over. Was there something in particular here that caught your eye? (Greatly admire your sleuthing skills and culling of info, especially when you look back, finding things others are only vaguely recalling.) What do you see here?

It was in response to a post try2solve had made about some very large drug busts a few pages ago. I also posted a mycase search results that also showed them. We were talking about the subpoenas that McLeland said he had done so I wanted to see the January arrests and posted for others to see. To see if 12 subpoenas would be unusual really.

I mean, that would get MEGA-ATTENTION and everyone would have their eye out for BG nationwide. I just don't get it? Maybe it's some obvious reason and I'm missing it but why wouldn't they just say? Even if they just "suspected" I think they would say, no?

It looks to me like something she is actually wearing something in her hair. You can make out some symmetric object.

As comparison. I went ahead and placed a dot on the same spot with 63% opacity and flow to come as close as possible to the original. When resized, the dot is still there, not comparable to the first image:

Which makes me wonder if BG is a SK and LE didn't tell us, how many other SK cases are they keeping secret? Too much to think about.

I don't believe the area shows signs of being manipulated, either. The dark object reminds me of one of those plastic "butterfly" hair clips, with the springy thing and comb to hold a hunk of hair together. I can almost see the outline.

I could be wrong, but I thought LE had said at one time that images had not been altered. Anyway I see nothing “blacked out.”

Jmo LE still seems to think BG is somewhat local. They seem to be keeping most announcements, etc more to a local audience. Maybe that is just based on the locale of the crime scene and they are just guessing.

This has probably been posted, but look at this quote from Feb 2017:
