Sounds to me like they think dad picked up the son and the son told dad what happened and maybe they transported her body in the patrol car of his dad's and put her in the pond .Thats my reading between the lines anyway. What I wonder about is this neibhour can hear faint whispours and make the words out perfectly but it said COD was a gun shot to the neck .How do you hear whispers and not hear a gunshot..Very sad what a beautiful girl. Also it sounds to me like this A,B girl that was also there could be the key to everything .

Yes, that is very strange, canmaneh. Which makes me wonder if she was not yet dead. Perhaps she was shot elsewhere after the voices were heard? I would love to know why they were telling her to get up. It's true if they had shot her there the neighbor would have heard it, so what was going on? Why was she not UP and why did they later shoot her? Oh, it's maddening and we'll probably never know. Poor Amanda.

ETA: Is there a discussion thread for Amanda Bach? I just realized I'm probably posting in the wrong place. I did a search for Amanda Bach and this was the only thread that showed up. I apologize.

VALPARAISO, Ind. (STMW) – The defense in the Dustin McCowan murder trial offered up an alternate suspect in the murder of 19-year-old Amanda Bach — one of the prosecution’s witnesses and the man who found her body.

On Thursday 20-year-old McCowan received the near-maximum sentence Thursday for the shooting death of Bach. He was convicted for the murder in February 2013.

Before his sentence was handed down, McCowan refused to make a statement to the court.

"I don't think this court deserves it," he said defiantly.
