GUILTY IN - Betty Glenton, 95, murdered in her South Bend home, 5 Sept 2005

Police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of an elderly South Bend woman.

Late Friday night police arrested 41-year-old Frank Perez. He is now being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.

Police say neighbors actually checked on 95-year-old Betty Glenton when they noticed her front door was open on Monday morning.

They believe that Perez broke into Glenton's home then murdered her. Officials say she was possibly sexually assaulted but they're still waiting for the test results to prove confirm that.

Perez pleaded guilty in 2006 and was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
