Chad Parsley, a 45-year-old father of three boys from Elwood, was reported missing to the Elwood Police Department on Jan. 28. EPD said missing persons detectives are now searching for the missing Elwood adult.

In the Indiana court system, the only Chad Parsley (may or may not be him as no DOB) just has a couple ancient, minor traffic tickets and an old divorce matter, nothing anywhere criminal that might have any bearing on him being missing IMO. Indiana Courts Case Search - MyCase

Found a Facebook with that name, in Indy, may be him, the "missing" photo isn't that great of a picture. Really cute young boys - someone's a proud Dad. Log into Facebook

It’s been 21 days.

There is a $2500 reward to info leading to his whereabouts.

The following press release was sent to the Call-Leader from Assistant Police Chief Kyle Comer:

"On the evening of January 28, 2025 the Elwood Police Department took a report of a missing adult from the 2300 block of South B Street in Elwood. Since that time our officers and detectives have been following leads and canvasing areas in an attempt to locate the missing adult.

On Wednesday February 26, 2025 just before 11am our department's detective was out on foot and in his vehicle canvasing the northeast quadrant of our city when he located a body on an abandoned property in the 2800 block of North D Street in Elwood. An investigation was done by our department and the Madison County Coroner's Office. Preliminary investigation concluded that the missing adult, 45 year old Chad Parsley of Elwood was located deceased from an apparent suicide.

Family of the deceased has been notified and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time."

I'm a bit surprised that they said that outright. Very sad. RIP Chad.
