IN IN - Ciera Breland Locklair 31, last seen in GA, POI husband Xavier Breland Jr, Carmel, 25 Feb 2022

Just catching up.

I mean, if she was seen at 7:17pm in Johns Creek Georgia, it's not even physically possible for her to get back to Carmel by 11pm to leave the house in shorts, is it? That's only four hours.

Was the weather in Georgia warm enough for shorts on the 24th?
The latest article now states that XB reported last seeing her in Carmel on Friday 25th.

On Feb. 25, according to the Carmel Police Department’s official missing person’s report, Ciera left their home in the Brookstone Park of Carmel subdivision in Carmel, Indiana sometime shortly after 10 p.m. to walk to the nearby store.

@legalmomma thanks for this background info. Clearly he's been in trouble with LE several times over the years based on what we're seeing here.

It really makes you wonder how Ciera, an attorney, would get involved with someone like this in the first place, especially with his criminal background.
I think sometimes people are niave sadly. They see the best in everyone and possibly overlook the clues to possible wrong or harm. Very sad.

The fact that she was not practising family law likely means that she became his attorney after the two got together. Some people are wondering why she didn't look into his background early on.
Sometimes people want to believe the best.

February 24th?? Whaat??
________
Ciera Breland last seen at mother-in-law's home in Johns Creek
Ciera (Locklair) Breland last seen at 7:17 p.m. on Feb. 24 at a home along Highgate Manor Court in the Parsons Walk subdivision in Johns Creek, the Johns Creek Police Department confirmed on Thursday. The address given by police is the same address family members have said is the home of her mother-in-law.…
So this new information from Fox5 Atlanta indicates Ciera was last seen at her mother-in-law's home in Johns Creek GA at 7:17PM on 24 February? If this is true, then could they really travel from there to Carmel, IN, in that short a time, especially with Ciera's 5-month old son in the car?

Also, IIRC family members had been trying to get in touch with Ciera since 21 or 22 February, but received no response. Since Ciera was in daily contact with her family it would have been highly unusual for her not to return their calls or texts.

According to reports, they left Carmel on Feb 19 and she spent the night at her father's house; so it would be possible for them to come back in one day. Have we heard when XB actually filed the missing report? Did he wait until the next night, at which time Carmel LE issued the alert?

It's interesting that her cousin has her dog. Did she take it with them when they left IN? Did she leave it at her dad's?

I assume the Tiguan is in Indiana. Wonder if LE has done forensics?

Yes I think her car would be in Carmel. They were last seen driving it in GA, and we know XB arrived in Carmel, so logically her car should be there. We would certainly expect both her car their home was examined by LE but not much, if anything, has been released about that AFAIK.

I wonder if her last sighting in GA was when she and XB left his mother's house to return home to IN. Did they stop anywhere along the way?

The March 3, 2022 93.1FMWIBC (wibc.com) article ‘Georgia Police Join Search For Missing Carmel Woman, Husband Named Person Of Interest’ reported that Carmel Police issued the (original) missing persons alert Saturday night February 26, 2022. The alert (which I believe was based on a report filed by XB) said Breland was last seen (in Carmel) sometime between 10 pm - 11 pm on February 25, 2022 (Friday night).

I’ve read elsewhere that Ciera was not reported missing by XB until approx 24 hours after he last saw her (in Carmel), implying (imo) that XB had arrived in Carmel by at least 11 pm Friday night.

According to the March 10, 2022 fox5atlanta.com article posted above by @legalmomma: ‘Ciera Breland Last Seen At Mother-In-Law’s Home’, Ciera was last seen at her mother-in-law’s house in Johns Creek, GA at 7:17 pm on February 24, 2022 (Thursday evening).

According to Google Earth, Carmel, IN is approx 430 miles from Johns Creek, GA. I’m guessing that’s an 8-9 hour drive.

So if (IF) something happened to Ciera in Johns Creek, GA (perhaps at her mil’s house?), it seems it would have had to have happened sometime between 7:17 pm Thursday (2/24) and approx. 2:00 pm Friday (2/25).

Can we speculate that she was caught on a surveillance camera on Feb 24 at 7:17 pm? If yes, would that be her arriving at or leaving her MIL's house? If something happened on the property, then she would not have been seen leaving.

The last information I saw indicated that Ciera was last seen at 7:17PM on 24 February in Johns Creek, GA. I didn't see anything about who reportedly saw her, or whether this was an 'in person' or surveillance video sighting.

It wouldn't make sense from a logic standpoint that XB would do something to harm Ciera while they were at his mother's home. He would certainly know that if Ciera was seen there then LE would eventually be searching her house and property. However, there's no telling what XBs state of mind was at this time, so logical decision making may not be involved here.

Family members of Ciera Breland along with local police in Georgia are handing out flyers today and searching for the missing Carmel mom. Police say she was last seen in Johns Creek, Georgia on Feb. 24

She was reported missing by her husband Xavier who has been named a person of interest in her disappearance. Ciera’s former sister-in-law told me Xavier had clear mental issues and described him as “paranoid” and “delusional”

A large group of family and friends, mostly from Indiana, met for about an hour with Johns Creek police Friday morning.

Now there is a large group of family, officers, and volunteers out in these subdivisions, knocking on doors and handing out missing person flyers.

Police in Johns Creek said they pinpointed her last-known location using cellphone data and cameras, which is where the family was canvassing.

A reward has been offered by the FBI:

Also from the article:

A billboard is going up in the Atlanta suburb of Johns Creek in hopes of soliciting more information on Breland's disappearance.

Xavier has been extradited before. According to court records, he was arrested in 2007 on a fugitive warrant in Florida and sent back here to Indiana.

So if she was seen at this time, why wasn't she responding to her family and friends attempting to get hold of her? This doesn't sound good at all.

It also wouldn’t make sense for him to do anything to her there just because of the locale. Johns Creek is definitely one of the more upscale suburbs of Atlanta. There may be a couple pockets of lower than average for that area but JC houses a lot of wealthy folks, meaning I would imagine there’s cameras and ring doorbells everywhere. Kind of like the situation in Colorado with the kid that went missing a couple years ago. I would almost guarantee someone in their immediate neighborhood has camera footage of the comings and goings that week. He would be a fool to try something in that area.

The Johns Creek address published in MSM is in the middle of a cul-de-sac, with other houses across the road.

I keep checking in to see if Ciera has been located. This is such a tragic situation. Her baby and her dog are safe with her family members but she really needs to be found. Where are you Ciera? Moo

This article also contains pictures of both homes (Ciera's in Carmel and her MIL's in Johns Creek):
Ciera Breland disappearance: $10K reward offered as family search for missing mother

Two weeks after a missing person's report was filed in Indiana, family, friends, police, and volunteers gathered to canvass a couple neighborhoods in Johns Creek. Their focus on Friday was two neighborhoods along Medlock Bridge Road where police believe Ciera may have traveled through during her stay in Georgia.

In addition to the flyers being passed out, the Johns Creek Police Department also set up electronic signs at two places along Kimball Bridge Road asking for the public's help. They also have reached out to several commercial electronic sign companies to help plaster Ciera's face and information across metro Atlanta.
