Maybe the burner had a different number and it was understood that when family saw that one come up, they would know there was trouble, even if she sounded ok?

OK, so maybe he didn't know of her intentions when they left Carmel. From the Dateline article

Kelly told Dateline that Ciera planned on moving back in with them and finding a new job. “She said, ‘Mom, I'm coming,’” Kelly said. “’You know, we're gonna say we're gonna visit with you guys and his mom. But I'm never going back to Indiana.’”

It sounds like Ciera didn't like living in IN and was determined to move back to GA, so I wonder how/if that choice may have been involved in her disappearance once XB was aware of her decision?

Some interesting points in this Dateline report:
- Ciera's father said she sent him a text at 11:17PM on Monday, 21 February, indicating she would see them (her parents) the next morning, but Ciera didn't visit them.
- On Tuesday, 22 February, her father sent Ciera a text, and "she said everything was OK, but that she had been feeling a little sick".
- On both Wednesday, 23 February, and Thursday, 24 February, Ciera did not reply to text messages sent by her parents.
- LE confirms a video sighting of Ciera on 24 February at XBs mother's home in GA.

We know Ciera was seen on 24 February, so I'm wondering why she did not reply to texts on either 23 or 24 February? This is very out of character for her based on what her family is saying.

IMO, one possibility is that Ciera no longer had possession of her phones by this time.

My guess is that they started dating before she became his attorney. He took advantage of the free legal representation. Perhaps he even targeted her once he learned about her profession. Was he working at the time?

Very possible. For some reason I thought they started dating after Ciera became his attorney, but it could be the other way around. If that has been discussed in MSM or elsewhere in this thread I must have missed it. Yes, free legal representation would be an advantage for XB no doubt.

I know it's been reported XB ran a transportation/trucking business in GA, but I don't know whether he was actually employed or had income during this time. It's not been mentioned what XB did for income after he and Ciera moved to IN. IMO it's possible they both lived off of Ciera's income as an attorney after they moved north.

John Lordan's video mentioned that. Also, some time ago I found several GA business with XB Jr listed as owner, and one or more were transportation-related. I do not have the links saved but I believe that is the case IIRC.

Thanks. It's good that you saw them. I've seen the driving citations attributed to him but I have the Doxpop rap sheet and they aren't Jr's. Have you found anything in Cali or Florida on him?

The search warrant from Florida was for his probation violation on 1 of his 2 charges in IN.

I can look up XB Jr's transportation business in GA if it should be added here. It's publicly accessible information so shouldn't be a TOS issue here.

Neglected to mention this earlier, but I found it interesting in the Dateline report that XB's father lived directly next door to XB and Ciera in Carmel, but he indicated to Ciera's family that he hadn't seen her since XB returned from GA. I'm curious whether XB and his father had any discussions after the GA trip. If so, wouldn't he ask where Ciera was?

IMO XB's father must have known about XB's violent relationship and with his ex-wife, plus his earlier court appearances, etc. Wouldn't that send up warning signs to XB's father that his son and grandson both arrived in Carmel, in Ciera's car, but without Ciera? Something doesn't seem logical there. MOO.

This is possible, but IMO it seems likely there would have been at least some contact between XB and his father, living next door, between the time he arrived back and Ciera was reported missing. Hard to tell and just speculation since many details like this have not been released.

Some have asked about Ciera and her representation of Xavier in GA. So as far as Ciera's employment it is a bit confusing. Did she just get hired back in Atlanta by Hall Booth? I cannot tell by the google search if indeed the hiring notice was dated February 22nd 2022. I do not locate any filings under her married name.

If the family left Johns Creek on Thursday evening (Feb 24th), when would they arrive to Carmel? Would it make more sense to leave in the morning?

To tell Xavier at his mother's house that she was leaving and go back to her father's house? Or perhaps visit with her father again and simply not return? She would know that the former would put her in a vulnerable position. Maybe she didn't attempt to leave but Xavier learned of her plan anyway?

This is such a tragic situation. Leaving a violent spouse is the most dangerous time. Where could she possibly be? And XB's parents not talking to Ciera's parents reminds me of Brian Laundrie's parents when they wouldn't talk to Gabby Petito's mom and dad. So sad for Ciera's family, especially her baby boy. IIRC, the cousin said a family member brought the dog to him; so I assumed she did not take the dog back to XB's mother's house.

MOO, but given XB's previous marriage and arrests regarding that situation I think it highly unlikely that XB's parents would know nothing about his mental health state or at the very least the potential of violence in his relationship with Ciera. Living with or next door to parents would make it very difficult to hide signs of relationship issues on a daily basis. Unless both of XBs parents were in states of denial regarding their son, IMO there's no way they couldn't have known or at the very least suspected problems in his relationship with Ciera. Again, MOO.
