Search teams use dogs, drones to look for southern Indiana man missing nearly 2 weeks

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is asking for help finding Clifton Michael Martin.

Martin’s truck along with a trailer were found abandoned on June 22, 2021, on Blue Springs Road in New Amsterdam, Indiana. The vehicle was towed from the site.

Martin’s family reported him missing on June 25.

Police have used drones, dogs and foot searches to look for Martin in a large area around where his truck was found. They've also been following leads with no success.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department 812-738-2195 or the Harrison County tip line 812-738-TIPP(8477).

On June 22, the Harrison Co Sheriff’s Office located and towed an abandoned Chevrolet truck with a trailer on Blue Springs Rd in New Amsterdam, IN.

The truck is known to be driven by Clifton Michael Martin.

On June 25, Martin’s family filed a missing person report with the sheriff’s office.

HCSO, along with Harrison Responders, Jeff Craig Fire Dept K9 Search Team, Harrison Co Horse Patrol, Indiana Conservation Officers, and volunteers searched hundreds of acres around the location his truck was found. The search consisted of people, dogs, and drones.

At this time Martin has not been located.

The first fb page has TONS of posts from ppl posting on his timeline..a lot of insight on the circumstances around the time he went missing IMO.

By reading through the posts on his fb timeline, his phone & his chrome book were not in his truck.
One of the missing person flyers states he was last seen in the Corydon area.
And his truck was found around Blue Springs Rd....BUT Lickford Bridge Rd keeps popping up in posts too

Remains found in southern Indiana state forest believe to be those of man missing since June

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said in a statement that a deer hunter discovered skeletal remains Friday while scouting a large section of the Harrison-Crawford State Forest, near Blue Springs Road.

Investigators now believe those remains are those of Clifton Michael Martin, who was reported missing on June 25. The Sheriff's Department said the truck he used to drive was found abandoned on June 22 in New Amsterdam.

Clothing that matched the description of what Martin was wearing when he was last seen was found during the extensive search of the forest, officials said.
