The Evansville Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a missing person.

They say Cynthia Mae Horne was last seen leaving Golden Living Center, at 4088 Frame Road, in Newburgh, IN. on December 10, 2019.

The last person to see her was unable to remember what she was wearing, but did say that she was using a walker and was on oxygen.

Anyone with information is asked to please call Detective Whitler at 812-436-4016.

Cynthia Mae Horne, 53, was last seen on Dec. 10, 2019, leaving the Golden Living Center-Woodlands in the 4000 block of Frame Road in Newburgh.

According to a statement from the EPD, Cynthia Mae Horne was last seen leaving the Golden Living Center in Newburgh. An unnamed witness claims they don't recall what Horne was wearing when they saw her that day, but they do remember her needing the assistance of a walker and using oxygen.

*I do not understand how a resident with physical and medical deficiencies is able to walk away from an advertised secure nursing home five months ago. - Why are we only just now hearing of a police inquiry. What’s up with this? There must be a story here. Explanations should follow.

I was just coming here to say the same. Thanks. Still, something seems off the original nursing home’s patient count, record keeping and communication.

UPDATE: Evansville Police said Monday evening that Cynthia Horne was found at another local nursing home.

I'm guessing a family member picked her up and moved her and other family (responsible for her) was not in the loop.

Seen it before.
