Tragic and heartbreaking. Delano's pictures are so adorable. This will be devastating if true. :rose:

This article is really quite telling:

"The few fliers with information about Delano posted on light poles have been taken down. A purple stuffed animal against a fence in front of the family’s home has been removed. A “Baby on Board” yellow triangle in the rear window of the family car is missing. A minimal family and friends search Sunday has not been replicated and there is no search command post on Chase Street."

So this answers at least one of my questions: do they have a car? Yes, apparently they do. But why are the flyers down, why is the stuffed animal gone and WHY is the baby on board sign gone from the car? Do they know the baby isn't coming home? Does someone have a sense of guilt asking people to look? Every article just seems to bring more questions.

I don't know why but removing that "baby on board" sign would be so final for me. That speaks volumes as well IMO. I pray they find this precious boy.

If it were me, that sign would not come off unless or until I knew for certain my baby wasn't coming home. Even then, it would be a monumental heartache to remove it.

I was just looking at this myself. The creek is less than 3 miles from their house, although the way it winds around, there is an area that is a little closer to their home, there's no way to tell where LE is searching. It actually feeds into the White River, the WR bends right below the map above and they meet. There's an area on the map around the creek, when I was in satellite view, that's completely surrounded by what appears to be a junkyard.

I've kept watch in many cases like this where the POI's just sit back and watch the searches. How does a a human being do that?

Agreed Knox. One can argue about the
existence of their humanity, especially when the victim is a blood relative (and even worse, their own child!) - JMO.

On Tuesday evening investigators were looking into a new lead. Authorities were searching the area of Holt road and I-70.

If the father or both parents are somehow involved, I hope they can solve this one. Seems like there are so many cases of infant abduction or foul play that never get brought to trial because theres just not enough evidence or the baby is not found. :(

I believe it's b/c they are so tiny. A 5 week old? He'd fit in a 3 gallon bucket, KWIM? I hate typing that but in Lisa's case, she was 10 months old and as they were showing pictures of the paint cans (1 & 5 gal)inside the house it became a scenario as they were handy and would hold a small child.

It kills me to think about how little space you'd need to hide a tiny baby, but the fact of the matter is that within a 2 block radius there are probably a myriad of places tiny Delano could have been hidden. I know the neighbors stated that they checked their trash after he was reported missing, but when was trash day? When was the last time Delano was seen alive? He'd fit into a large shoe box. :(

It's hard to go down that road of where you could hide such a tiny baby, but that seems the focus by LE. :(

I can't even handle this.

On the fourth day of 6-week-old Delano Wilson's disappearance, his family and community leaders gathered this afternoon to pray that he is still alive and that whoever knows his whereabouts would come forward.

"We're here because a family, a mother and a father is grieving and full of pain," said the Rev. Malachi Walker, director of Young Men Inc. "We're not here to point fingers or to pass judgment."

Lou Johnson, the boy's aunt, said the past three days have been devastating for Delano's parents, who have been together for two years. Delano is their first and only child.

"They can't eat, can't drink, can't sleep," Johnson said. "We got all the baby stuff. ... It's painful for them to see all the baby stuff and the baby's not there. All we want is the baby back."

BBM, when this first was posted I took it to mean that they got all of the baby stuff out of the house. Now that the quote below has been posted, I'm still leaning toward my first thinking that they have indeed had the baby stuff removed from the house. Remove all sign of Delano's existence. Maybe that is one of the things that prompted the search warrant.

This just makes me so sad and mad. It reminds me of darling Bryeon and my heart hurts for this tiny little person who never had a chance. Bryeon's mother went to LE telling them that several Hispanics had kidnapped him and injured her. She even had two black eyes. In the end she and her live in boyfriend tortured that baby to death. I will keep a part of my heart hoping that little Delano is alive and someone is taking care of him. The other part of me will be praying that LE finds him and if they can't that there is someone like Mr. Larson who will.

Babies are not trash. Joshua Summeries' murderer was sentenced to a paltry 30 years today for disposing of his girlfriend's tiny little boy after he killed him. They've never found that baby, the :censored: who killed him put him into a dumpster and the trash was picked up, compacted and taken to a large landfill.

I've had it with this :censored:. I'm totally pizzed. :stormingmad:

I think hospitals should hand out flyers on Safe Baby drop points when parents leave the hospital, including all the information about not being prosecuted, maps showing where they are, and really make sure parents know they are an option. I'd like to think that it'd save a life or two.

eta: Although I suppose many of these missing babies were beaten to death in a fit of rage.

He had two cell phones on him right? So I'm assuming they pinged where he'd been up until the 911 call? Maybe that is what the search locations are based on.

I think the first quote meant, they had all the supplies and accessories needed for the baby, but now the baby is gone. The second quote though, I think those things have likely happened within the last day or so. Things people are noticing, LE, neighbors, reporters, etc. As an aside though, if what Delano's aunt was quoted in that first article is true, Delano's mom & dad have been together since 2012. Was it not 2012 he was questioned in the abuse case of his daughter with his first unmarried partner? The timing there seems a little eyebrow-raising to me. Does someone have a link handy for the case of his first child?
