Officers with the Gary Police Department have used K-9s on several searches in the area, and the Lake County Sheriff's Department has assisted in a few of the searches, Hamady said.

"We have searched a house, apartment, recreational vehicles and one other property," he added.

Family of missing pregnant mother reveal their dark suspicions

The family of a pregnant Indiana mother, who mysteriously vanished in October, revealed their grim suspicions as to who may be responsible for the young mother's disappearence.

The young mother-of-three did not have a working phone at the time of her vanishing, and family members have said she was supposed to go with her boyfriend - the father of her unborn child - 'to the phone store and get it activated'.

Now, several months after her dissappearance, Baum's mother is facing eviction ...

Family Breaks Silence About Pregnant Woman Who Has Been Missing For Two Months

Emma Baum disappeared at nine months pregnant back in October 2024. Her family continues to look for her and has raised troubling suspicions.

Baum-Waddell, while talking to Fox News Digital, stated that she believes Baum's boyfriend is "hiding something." She is not the only one, as Baum's mother, Jamie, believes the unnamed boyfriend has "something to do" with Emma's disappearance, according to WGN9. "I would like my daughter home. We miss her. Her babies need her. Her family needs her," Jamie Baum said.

It seems clear who is responsible for Emma’s disappearance. I guess LE doesn’t have what they need to make an arrest yet. Maybe they are hoping to find her body first?

When they think about the disappearance of their sister and daughter, Abi Smith and Jamie Baum don’t know how to put their feelings into words.

“Regardless of what anyone might think or feel about my sister, this is abnormal,” Smith said. “It’s not like her to walk away from everybody. It’s heavy, and it’s depressing, and it doesn’t give me a lot of faith in the surrounding area.”

Emma Baum, who was nine months pregnant at the time, was last seen in the 2500 block of Connecticut Street in Gary. Her family alleges that the Gary Police Department didn’t issue a silver alert, although they believe Baum qualified as a “high-risk missing person” because she would soon give birth.
