IN - Four sisters, ages 5-11, die in Flora house fire, Nov 2016

In order for that theory to make sense, the arsonist(s) would have had to have thought nobody was home. Or at least not the 4 kids. IMO

It is an interesting theory. Could someone set up a fire for insurance reason but honestly believe that the inhabitants would be elsewhere? Say, one of the girls stated in classroom that they were going to spend the night at their aunt’s? Kids fantacize all the time. But someone took it seriously?

P.S. it was a very early morning Monday (basically, night of Sunday to Monday) on November 21. Thanksgiving was November 24. So, 24-27 all US schools were closed by default. To be fair, 23 is already half-day. Could the girls plan to spend the whole thanksgiving weekend at their aunt’s house but erroneously say at school or gymnastics, for example, that they’d be out for the week?

There is a huge difference between insurance crime (fraud) and arson with four victims (mass murder). The groups to look at might be very different. Just a thought.

Another year come and gone with no justice for these four children and their family.
They are not forgotten.

2025 brings hope.

Thank you for bumping it up. This case makes me angry. Their poor mother and relatives. RIP.

I notice the girls all have different last names- could one of the fathers have had a long-simmering grudge? (I remember people mentioning this case in proximity to Delphi, but I do not recall details or if people were ruled out)

JMO: an arson of an old house has a very high potential of killing the tenants. I don't think one needs to go that far with any threat. It needs to be investigated, DC...
YES!!
This has always needed to be investigated more.
The politics surrounding this and those involved, including home owner and all that transpired afterwards.
Things that make you go ... Hmmmmm

So Doug Carter retired. Didn’t he promise to solve the Delphi case and the Flora case, too?

Is anyone going to work at it?

He promised a review of the Delphi case "top to bottom" when they first stalled out.
Except of course going through actual interviews and tips submitted by LE with boots on the ground.
