(You are welcome Emma Rose. Thank you.

While this sounds like possibly a stranger abduction, or stalker, who knows as of yet, Heather Elvis has popped into my mind a few times for some reason. Not because I think the circumstances of her murder could necessarily be similar (SM affair/TM, etc), but may e because of her age and occupation. Odd how certain cases/victims remind of us other cases/victims.

Heather Elvis has never been found.)

O/T Heather's case made me become a member in 2013. That case still haunts me and the Moorers are definitely high on my list of people I want punished for their crimes. We all have the power to keep all these cases alive in the hopes of finding justice.

Why would someone do this horrible thing? So sad.

I'm really wondering about these shootings now...on a rampage?

But then why would she be at the soccer fields so late?

How far is the location referenced above to the soccer fields?

  • #204
I think someone pushed her out of the car at the location. I don't necessarily think she happened to be there.

Is there any info on where she was when she last texted at eleven?

So abduction and dump? Seems the most likely, unless she was jogging there that morning...

And yes, as mentioned, where is her car?

Maybe her purse and items (phone) are strewn roadside along the way, maybe a couple miles or so from her body? In a ditch?

Ugh getting a Hannah Graham/JLM vibe now...hope I'm wrong for her sake.

Same night that she went missing?

I found a webpage, where people are discussing the victim. I won't link it, since I found most of it offensive, but... A poster does say that she was dating someone, and that this person may have gang affiliations. Is it true? I don't know... But the timing of the gang related shootings is strange...

There's no mention of "gang related shootings" in this article.

Except that they said she died at the scene. How would they know that unless there was evidence she had been killed at the scene, I wonder?

I've been wondering this, too. She could have been pushed out and shot.

Qmfr:

Ugh, vehicle shooters..my new, um, specialty, unfortunately (see signature for reference)...

From above:

"Just after 1:30 Monday morning officers were called to Sweetser Avenue.

There a woman told police her son arrived home with a gunshot wound to his arm.

The victim told officers he and his girlfriend were driving on Linwood Avenue near Riverside Drive. when someone started shooting at their car.

Police said the victim's car was riddled with bullet holes. He was taken to an Evansville hospital, while the female in the car was left uninjured."

Interesting angle...

Ballistics would be able to identify a match, if the same gun, etc. I would think they'd be on this due to the timimg. Very well could be unrelated though!

If she was sexually assaulted, I wonder if they will release this information for purposes related to finding a sexual predator(s).

They said she died at the scene but they are not sure she was murdered there. Could be there's some kind of evidence that she was trying to get up or dragging herself in the dirt. IMO

I'm speed reading today but I thought it said they don't know if she was shot at the location where she was found, but she definitely died there. I'm thinking they didn't find any shells at the scene, and/or they would expect a pool of blood from the gunshot and didn't see one. Also its always possible the gunshot was not immediately fatal.. maybe they know based on the gunshot that she could have lived for 10 minutes or something and that leaves just enough doubt in the timeline to say they're not sure. JMO.

blood evidence could certainly indicate that she was not shot there but died there.

That young woman was murdered in Tennessee, but was from Evansville.

Whoa. It's not that big a town, is it?

What I am wondering is how they can be sure she DIED there, if they are not yet sure whether she was shot there. Someone suggested maybe signs of trying to get somewhere after being shot, which makes sense to me. Maybe they haven't yet analyzed the blood spatter to determine if she could have been shot at the scene.
