Yes, you're right. I misspoke—systematic inequality is still present. I meant that the verbiage used has (some what) evolved.
You are right too, things have improved somewhat over the years. I apologize if my response came off as overly critical. It's just that I have a few cases that I've followed that just burn my butt as I know LE and media have abandoned them because the families of the victims didn't have the clout or resources to keep them active.

Officials recently announced that forensic testing unveiled a DNA profile belonging to an unidentified victim. Now, the Hamilton County Coroner's Office is seeking the public's help in identifying the man. The discovery comes not even a year after Daniel Thomas Halloran was officially identified as the 10th victim of Baumeister through genetic genealogy testing and a DNA match sourced from his late mother's autopsy file.

The victim's remains were discovered along with the 10,000 other remains in 1996 during the initial search of the property, Hamilton County Coroner Jeff Jellison told Newsweek. The recovered remains have been preserved in a lab. When Jellison reopened the case in 2022 in an effort to finally identify the victims, he developed a plan with the University of Indianapolis and the Indiana State Police to send in up to 30 remains every quarter for DNA testing.

"This remain just happened to be in one of the recent groups of remains that were sent," Jellison said. "We have identified a new victim in the case, as well as reidentified remains belonging to victims previously identified."

The new victim is currently the only man who remains unidentified at this time.
