How on earth did he think he was going to get away with this, being a direct neighbor and all, with a prison record, etc.

This shows he has poor impulse control as far as choosing his victims, and possibly lends itself towards an opportunistic offender, imo, as many of these perps that are that abduct children.

Now this doesn’t mean he wouldn’t also be the hunting and scouting type, necessarily, I don’t think. He could go somewhere where he would knew there may be an opportunity for victims, in a more private environment.

Thanks.

So, as far as we know, he's never been charged for SA. So was Monday his first time? Or first time caught? If not caught previously, why?

jmo
This cannot be his first SA. No way! Not at his age! This is one sick ***! (initials for 2 words!)

MOO info not be made public because it is about the innocent, such as the victim, witness, or ex's and associates.

And also because the victim is a child.

Totally agree! There are definitely other victims.

Ok I've read the thread but only up to 15, and then a couple of the most recent pages.

Poor little girl....I hope she has all the support and counseling possible. Thank heavens she was saved in time.

So this monster is being investigated for crimes past no doubt.

If he was involved in a very particular crime, I hope that authorities are scrutinizing his online history...in particular whether there is an unusual and even obsessive interest in that particular crime......from the 2017 date onwards.
Not that it would prove anything, but an uncaught criminal would be intently following updates and investigative developments of the crime. Such activity, in addition to him checking up whether anything could lead to him, would also likely give him pleasure in outwitting the police.

Yikes.....

This case also reminds me of Gabbie Doolan. Her assault was absolutely brutal. She didn’t survive. Also remembering other victims, Jessica, Bella, Jenise, Hailey O...the list goes on.

I hope this little girl can go home soon.

MOO people do get away with abductions enough, and criminals enjoy the thrill of getting away with risky things along with their crime.

So, as I mentioned previously, the situation at hand has unleashed memories about previous cases, the victims and their perps. The more I think about this, I think how “classic” this event was, as far as a child predator abduction and the basic facts that we know to date.

I’m realizing that I can’t say I recall a single case here where the victim was found just in time, during the assault, and saved. Do you guys? Maybe there is one, and I’m not recalling it, or perhaps it’s happened and it didn’t make the news, etc.

This is just an absolute victory for the victim, family, and LE, and imo, rare.

Now, what if he lived a couple blocks away, say like ARS who killed Jessica, things could’ve gone quite differently.

I can’t get over it, that they got to her, actually rescued her. Again, I don’t remember this happening ever.

I can’t stop thinking about her, how this will affect her future, how she will process this trauma, and I’m reminded of some of the brave survivors who were able to process it as best as they could, example Elizabeth Smart and some of Castro’s victims...but not everybody comes out as strong in the end. Gosh, I hope she will be okay, as best as she can. Just venting here.

MOO people do get away with abductions enough, and criminals enjoy the thrill of getting away with risky things along with their crime.
Additionally, he could’ve felt some invincibility, had he gotten away with previous crimes.

As bad as she was, it almost sounds like they interrupted him when he was in the middle of killing her. Thank goodness he stopped and went to the door. Why he let them in is a mystery. Maybe they just kind of had a strong suspicion and forced their way in.

Yes, iirc, classic stats on cases like this are that the child is dead within an hour (I’m a little rusty on my stats, it may be a little longer). With ARS, who killed Jessica, he took more time with her, iirc.

a sad aspect for the victim was that unless she was already unconscious, she would have heard the police arrive and leave the first time- it was only on the return visit that they saved her... wonder if she was stuffed in a closet or a box or I do not really want to think where. Maybe JC thought she was silenced and hidden and that was why he was not overly concerned about agreeing to a search. IMHO.

You know, I was thinking about this too. I remembered CW put Hailey O in one of those Sterilite type storage container boxes in his basement, iirc (after she was deceased) - I did think about this box scenario too.

Eta: the whole basement thing also made me think of JBR. Different type of case in some ways, but all these cases are coming back to me.

It was their second visit.

It was their second visit.

I am sooo curious about every detail re: this whole thing, as we all are.

Another thing, there are cases where the cops came in for an initial cursory search, one without a warrant, and missed the victim (in these cases deceased), for example Savannah Greywind. She was hidden in a dresser, and/or bathroom closet, iirc, during LE’s initial walkthrough. She was an adult, but it brings to mind they could have missed her had he hidden her better. There are other cases like this, remember the one where the child’s body was hidden in the couch that LE was actually sitting on, iirc?

Chances are they would’ve come back with a warrant later for a very detailed search, but by then it would’ve been too late because she would have been dead. This is why I’m sooo curious to read the Probable Cause Affidavit to hear every detail about when they went in, etc.

Oh wait!! I just remembered one where she was rescued in the nick of time! He was in a hotel. Had the sweet baby girl in the hamper. It was on video.of them picking her up and carrying her out. Omg. So scary.

I am so happy that this one worked out this way! It was literally a life and death moment here.

That’s right!!!!!!!! Omg!! I forgot about that!

Hey, I’m in the TikTok app, these videos have different numbers, is there a particular order to watch these in? Tia.

eta: I guess I’ll try numeric order, even though the numbers are all over the place.

eta2: ok, one can swipe.

eta3- he appears to possibly have some bruising under his right eye? 4-15? I apologize for any repetition. It looks like it could be a few days old, browning. I’m not great with image analysis, just pointing it out in case others may see this. Looking at it again, maybe not, disregard.
