She freaked out then shot herself in their car, while they were in it, so they decided to burn her body at the back of their house? Mmhmm.

Interesting that when this thread was started, it was on January 27th.
These punks started the fire on the 28th, and her bones were present in the fire.

Such a sad turn of events. How horrible!

The title to the thread reads Mitchell, and the Mitchell police were looking for her.
Also, the couple in question live in Mitchell,(they Know Kamie); which that town is small, so how many dead people would be found in Mitchell comparatively to other towns, cities, who are also known to the missing person or missing person's friends?
IMOO.

That may well be, but I know where she lives.. or I guess I should say lived.

I will never believe or understand how or why someone would claim to destroy a human body because of an accidental death!

So very sad!!

Oh I hear ya! It makes no sense.

Since the affadavit for probable cause was amended to read "possession of firearm
by serious violent felon, a level 4 felony.", I think they were afraid for his future perhaps.

And Jasmine stating that Kamie was freaking out and then she heard a pop, well, maybe Kamie did not kill herself and someone had that gun pointed at her? That would freak anyone out.

Notice in the statement that although both were advised of their Miranda rights, Lincoln states that Kamie shot herself in the car, and Jasmine states it differently, that Jasmine hears a pop after Kamie freaks out.

And I want to add, your post reminded me of the Caylee Anthony case. If it was an accident, then why was she thrown away like trash? So sad!!!

Exactly, I don't understand it and especially in what we are hearing here, believe it. I can only speculate what did happen at this point, but I definitely don't believe she shot herself, by accident or on purpose.

Innocent people don't need to hide anything.
Innocent people would tell LE their friend shot themselves from DAY ONE.
Innocent people wouldn't give LE the run-around.
Innocent people wouldn't be deceptive in the way they were.
Innocent people wouldn't dispose of a body, they would contact LE.

What kind of a friend were they to Kamie and her family?
Not a friend at all, imoo. The poor family and LE looking for Kamie for days while
these two Punks hid her body, then her body was destroyed.

IMOO.

And, they destroyed her body AFTER LE questioned them numerous times. They had plenty of chances to "come clean" if it was an accident. They literally tried to destroy any evidence of how she died. IMVHO

I wonder if Drugs will somehow be involved in this case.

I imagine if there was blood in their vehicle from Kamie, luminol would uncover that.

Like you mentioned, they wanted to get rid of evidence.
Was she sexually assaulted?
Was she drugged?
Was she murdered?
IMOO.

I am thinking that after LE gets the DNA of the bones and identifies the decedent as Kamie, that there will be a murder charge, imoo.
Right now they have him on abuse of a corpse and other charges, so he is in jail.
It plain doesn't make sense that they would go to this much trouble if Kamie killed herself.
All My Opinion.

Is the residence very isolated? No close neighbors? I ask because, and forgive me if this is upsetting, burning a human body smells really bad. Really really bad, and for quite a long time (hours, if not a day). I don't understand how they could burn her down to where only bones are left and nobody noticed that smell.

Horrific case. RIP Kamie.
