In the affidavit, the Pickett's mentioned about going to Walmart to pick up diapers and formula and when they returned they said Kamie was gone.

Yes, the Pickett's had Kamie's infant daughter. They finally ended up calling the infants grandmother, Kamie's mother, and told her Kamie disappeared & left the baby with them and wanted her to come get the baby. Kamie's mother came to the Pickett's house to get the baby, not knowing her missing daughter was dead in the garage. So sad.

The trial of a Mitchell man accused of killing Kamie Ratcliff has been postponed.

The murder trial of 34-year-old Lincoln Pickett was to begin today, no new date has been scheduled.

The trial was postponed after Lawrence County Superior Court Judge Micheal Robbins disqualified Chief Public Defender David Shircliff and his team due to a witness conflict.

The trial of Lincoln Pickett, which was to begin on Monday, has been postponed after a date conflict with defense counsel. Pickett is charged with the murder of 29-year-old Kamie Ratcliff.

The trial will begin Monday, July 23, at 8 a.m. with jury selection in Lawrence County Superior Court I.

UPDATED: Pickett Murder Trial Declared A Mistrial

Lawrence County Superior Court II Judge William Sleva declared a mistrial in the murder trial of Lincoln Pickett according to Superior Court 1 personnel. Pickett is charged with the murder of 29-year-old Kamie Ratcliff.

"We were in the middle of jury selection, we had enough to be able to get a jury, but I declared a mistrial so that I could assure there would be a fair trial for the defendant," said Judge Sleva.

A new trial date has yet to be determined.​

Lawrence County Superior Court II Judge Williams Sleva has rescheduled the jury trial of Lincoln Pickett for September 10th.

A Lawrence County Superior Court II jury found Lincoln Pickett guilty of killing 29-year-old Kami Ratcliff on Jan. 21, 2016 in the back seat of his red Blazer after an argument. He then waited a week before burning her body in a burn pit at his home at 3413 US 50 West.

He was also found guilty of obstruction of justice, abuse of a corpse, false informing and failure to report a dead body.
