“He did not fight this hard to get full custody of these babies for something to happen to them,” said Kyle’s mother, Natasha Hayes. “This is totally out of character. Something’s not right. Something’s wrong. I really feel in my gut. There’s something wrong with my baby. He’s hurt somewhere and he can’t get to us.”

Natasha Hayes is Kyle’s mother and says the plan on Wednesday was for him to go fishing with his children, but have not come back.

“He did not fight this hard to get full custody of these babies for something to happen to them,” said Hayes on WISH-TV. “This is totally out of character. Something’s not right. Something’s wrong. I really feel in my gut. There’s something wrong with my baby. He’s hurt somewhere and he can’t get to us.”

Hayes says he never made it to his brother’s house.

“His car is the key piece. We need this car found,” said Renee Moorman, also Kyle’s mother. “I’ve called him about every 3 minutes.”

Retired FBI Special Agent in Charge Paul Keenan now runs security consulting business PHaKtor said the car can be vital in investigations like these.

”If there is any kind of evidence in the car that would give them further evidence to find the kids,” Keenan said. “Maybe the phone is in there, maybe there is a notebook.

Mariah Moorman, Kyle’s sister, said a family member was able to get into his email account and phone records. They said the lake was the last location where the phone pinged, at 12:48 a.m. Thursday.

Kyle Moorman’s family search the banks of a lake on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

Along the bank, the family said they found a bottle, that belonged to the youngest of the children, which was taken by police.

“If you take the adult out of the equation, there’s three babies. Babies that are scared. Like, it just don’t make sense,” said Mariah. “It don’t make sense at all.”

***MISSING FAMILY*** The Indianapolis Metro Police Department needs the public’s help in locating a father and his three kids. Kyle Moorman left his residence with his three kids on July 6th, 2022, in Indianapolis, IN to go fishing. They haven't been seen or heard from since
Does anyone know where else he was planning on going after fishing? I can't imagine he was going to go fishing very long, with a 1, 2, and 5 year-old.

I read up-thread that he was going to go to his brother's.

According to FB comments it would appear that he has sole custody of the children due to mother being tied up with drugs and signed over rights. I am local to this and there are some places along the river that are common for fishing, but I would NOT eat anything that comes from there due to contamination from various sources. But other than that I mean I would not take 3 kids 5 and under fishing by myself, but at the same time he's wrangling everyday.

Did some looking into the dad and nothing of notice in his record in Indiana just traffic infractions that seemed to stop after 2018. The only other thing was a paternity case for the youngest Kyran last year that was decided by judicial action.

Hoping for a good resolution to this.
Is it known what body of water he was supposed to fish? TIA

I just want to point out that originally they went missing at 11:30pm now reported as 11pm. Just trying to be accurate when we're talking about such young children. I have issues with him taking the kids that late, I would think they were already sleeping. He would have had to pack at least fishing rod/s etc. but no diapers etc. I still have not heard/read who he lives with??? Also, that donut tire is concerning, How long has be been driving on that? I'm not reading a lot of concern on his metal state or he's dangerous or anything, so an accident stands out to me. IMO
I find it concerning that he was going fishing alone with a 1, 2, and 5 year-old, especially in the dark and at 11p.m. It doesn't sound like he was fishing of necessity. Have they said whether he took life jackets?

Just saw on Fox 59 that friends and family are searching the water of that pond. Where are the IFD divers? Why is LE not out searching for three young children who are missing? Especially since their laser known location has been announced?
Thanks for the update. Seems like they would help with a dive search.

imo the baby bottle being found along side the lake gives truth to the story that he took the kids fishing because that means they were outside of the car at one point. If he was going to do something like drive his car off into the water with all of them in it then it doesn't make sense to me that the bottle would be found by the lake like that. I wonder if he got into an accident on the way to his brothers house after fishing. It would have been late and he could have been struggling to stay awake. If I was LE etc I would check the route he'd take from that lake to his brothers place and make sure that the car isn't off to the side of the road somewhere in brush where you can't see it or something. I remember the story of the girls out in California who went to a wedding and never returned home. It turned out the car had wrecked over a cliff and no one made it.

Such a sad, confusing situation. I wonder if any of the kids brought a tablet or something with "find my device" enabled along for the ride?

This is a worthy route of investigation. If his phone went dead (as alleged by people he was texting with), and the car is not at that location, it would make sense he might choose to drive to his brother’s at that point. But why isn’t LE doing what they can to rule out the car being in that body of water?

Also - as someone who worked in public service for decades, I just want to say that a LOT of people/families live different lifestyles and make different choices than you might. Just because I would never go fishing with 3 kids at midnight (or EVER lol) doesn’t mean that my lifestyle is superior or proper compared to someone who makes this choice. It’s just different.

I’m only throwing this out there because in these threads I repeatedly encounter those who seem to think just because someone else did a thing they would never personally do that it’s a big red flag, and a lot of times it’s just not. I think a lot of people would be shocked to realize how differently a lot of people live from them.

What he was doing and when is significant to the case, of course, but it sounds to be in character and shouldn’t be subject to personal judgment, IMO, just because I would make a different choice.

All that said, why did he not stick to the plan of meeting his brother before fishing. Maybe the younger ones wanted to get a few minutes of fishing in before being babysat by cousins, idk. Was that lake on the way to the meetup point? If so, I’d be scouring the path from there to his brother’s.

If it’s not, why didn’t he let his brother know he was deviating from the plan? Why didn’t they report them missing for several days?

Has his brothers location been addressed by MSM? I would be interested in a map showing his location (mom’s house) brothers house and the lake where the baby bottle was found but I’m horrible at maps.

I feel like there's a big difference between "taking the kids fishing at 11pm" (as in, them being awake and participating in the activity) and "going fishing at 11pm with the kids" (as in, he's out of the car and the kids are just strapped in car seats passed out asleep, as you would expect from... 1, 2, and 5 year olds). It sounds like from one of the articles which mentioned him texting with someone that he was just doing the latter and that the kids were asleep in the car... but why would there be a baby bottle found outside the car then?

If he was going to his brothers first and didn't make it maybe they should look between his home and his brothers? Does his brother live near the water they're searching?

Him driving on a donut tire with children riding in the car scares me more than night fishing with 3 toddlers.

I learned a lot about night fishing in this recent thread. Seems not to be unusual at all for families with young kids.
Yes night fishing with kids is normal but not in this kind of situation. One adult alone with 3 toddlers that late at night.
I just saw on another post here that he never did this with the children only alone. So it is not normal for him to take them alone.
I believe something else is going on here or not being told
