I wonder if Salzmann, Corey's lawyer, is implying Jesse saw her after Corey was put to bed. I mean, he said 3 other people... Mike, Jay...and Jesse is the only other POI released by the media.

I think that's extremely unlikely. He probably means some other unnamed roommate/occupant of that building of theirs. Because if JW ever got there and confronted them, I presume there would have been a big scene. No way would they be able to keep that quiet, IMO.

The only thing I can think of in the boyfriend's defense is that if he did it, you think he would have gone after the other male too, instead of waiting for the girl. Maybe not though.

They are not facebook friends, but it's safe to assume these kids all knew eachother and knew where one another lived.

I feel like a lot of the boyfriend's story adds up in my mind. He was watching the basketball game, couldnt get ahold of his girlfriend, and stayed in. A lot of the assumptions on the boyfriend are based on not knowing where he is, not evidence of him doing anything suspicious. The fight is the interesting thing and the one thing that puts some suspicion on JW, but I dont know why there havent been arrests made in the fight. If someone was smacked in the face wouldnt that qualify as assault? I would think police would make arrests if only to more closely grill the friends on their communication with JW after the incident.

It is strange to me that JW would go to school to get the room key from her roommate. It was established earlier that the apartments had a buzzer to each room and a visitor could be let in the door by person in the apartment. I wonder if there is footage of JW trying to buzz LS from the main door? Or did he already know there really wouldn't be anyone there?

I'm getting a creepy feeling about JW.

Excellent point. Someone trying to cover their tracks by doing things they think someone should do, can't think of everything as you just pointed out.
He was thinking too far ahead perhaps. It may also be possible though, and verifiable from others living on Lauren's floor (the ones that filed the MP report) they may have contacted him trying to find her and told him that she wasn't coming to the door - and they being on the inside this would be even more of a red flag. It's not known who JW talked with, texted, etc.. from the evening of June 3rd through to June 4th.

We really need to know the details of the time frame from CR/MB's appartment over to JR, and a full accounting of JW, JW's friends, and all communications they had.

What about the other POI's? We need more information about Jesse's friends... Did they contact Jesse after the fight?

It's SO easy to clear Jesse. Did the camera of his apartment/frat see him leving his house? Yes or no? That's the only thing we need to know. Did he leave his apartment that night/morning? It is SO easy to verify that. Does Jesse appear on any camera that night?

From this article it sounds like LS initiated the contact with CR.
Maybe LS's roommate or someone from their floor told JW that she went to the bar with CR and then his friends came over to the bar to confront either LS or CR.

Not every building has cameras. If every building had cameras, it would have been easy to verify if LS in fact left CR, MB and JR apartment building at ~ 4:30 am in which case they would have been in the clear.

For some reason LE is not talking much at all about JW. We haven't heard anything from his attorney either. Maybe because they've cleared him. We don't know. I'm not trying to be unfair to JW. But he is, likely, the only person that would have had a real issue with LS being with CR.

We don't know why Jesse can't be cleared as yet; it could be simply because he can't prove his alibi or because there could be texts showing he was aware of what was happening.

If he did come out to find Lauren and/or CR, he could have run into Lauren on the way, by herself. And something could have gone wrong from there. But if so, apparently the police do not have their meeting up on tape, since the last they have of Lauren is closer to 3am, when she would have been with CR.

Maybe there are tapes still out there. I hope there are, and I hope they can clear these guys if they are innocent. It will be dreadful for everyone if this case is not solved and Lauren is not found.

Did she want him to go?

If I was a guy and my GF wanted to go to a bar, I would go with her so I could watch out for her to make sure nothing happened to her while she was there.

I find it odd that her BF did not go with her....... You would think he would.

Maybe he was just too tired or something.

I think that it is making a big leap using the fact that JW didnt go out with his gf one night as anything more than what it is. It doesnt mean he is innocent, but I dont think all couples spend every second together, and kids tend to go out a lot in college. It's very likely that this wasnt the first time they werent out together.

And this leads me back to the "maybe" a stranger just snatched her. Going alone without a boyfriend, excessive drinking, drunk altercations... that all can be pretty common in a college environment.

Maybe it wasn't that unusual of a night...
