Good! Glad you're back! :)

Tim Buckley and his son Jeff, amazing musicians gone too early. Jeff could and would have been a star for sure. His album Grace is a classic!

Couldn't agree more, I'm a huge Jeff Buckley fan, just had a "throwdown" (lol) with a friend this weekend when she said that Justin Timberlake's version of "Hallelujah" was better than Jeff Buckley's! Them are fightin' words!

I also would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone again. I have learned so much through our journey to find Lauren, some I didn't want to know but, nonetheless, will never forget, no doubt it will serve me well. I have read every link shared, the case studies have been fascinating and very relevant to Lauren's case. Great research everyone!!! Law school anyone?

Also, kudos again to the way everyone, even if they disagree, does so in a very respectful way.

I am also curious as to why MB's story, or the one told by his attorney (?), seems to be the only one that has truly changed from what we first heard. He's one I had "ruled out", now I'm not so sure. I really just wish something would break or leak in this case. Lauren needs to come home.

Just posted on a popular blog / site viewed by many college kids. Apparently gets upward of 2 millions hits/views a month.

Interesting comments especially GMAN's.

Reading gman's comment reminded me that JR was not at IU that spring semester, he was in Spain. He hadn't been back in Btown but what a week if not less? I think his return to town probably led to hosting the party, making sure "supplies" were on hand, having the two "non-student" guests, and so on.

I mention this because after a night of hard partying (and he could have still been partying at 4 a.m.) I assume he nor his male peers would not be very accommodating or gentlemanly with Lauren.

Also, regarding use of "non-student": DB was a student during that time but not an IU student.

I can see that happening. But no matter how you spin it, based on the scenarios we've heard, JR's actions make little sense, IMO. Say she did, hypothetically, makes two calls looking for her phone. Why would she do that at 4 in the morning? Because she wanted a phone to have walking home? Because she wanted to call JW? In either case, JR could have lent her his phone.

JR has to be the source for both versions of the stories about the 4:15 phone call, i.e. she's inquiring about her phone or he's trying to find her a ride. So why should we believe either version?

I hope LE knows if her fingerprints were on the phone and if the persons called had vehicles.

Respectfully snipped by me.

Re: MB. I wonder why his versions changed. Did he not tell the truth the first time and think he'd get caught in a lie? Or did he change his version to try and better fit someone else's story? The neighbor (Valerie something?) said LS walked out, per MB. That would have left him out of it. But if there was proof MB called JR ... or JR said MB walked or sent her over ... that wouldn't fly. IDK ... the middle ground would have been that she left MB/CR's for JR's.

I'm trying to figure out which version came first ...

Re: your friend. I first heard Justin's version. He mentioned Jeff's, so I checked it out. I've never looked back, LOL.

Yep, there's really nothing especially believable in either story. Next thing it will be LS was calling to find herself a ride ...

I suppose it complicates things that she was at JR's apartment earlier. But she probably would have had no reason to touch his phone at that point.

One of the people called was DR, I believe, who isn't named in the civil case. I really wish we knew who the other person was!

Leonard Cohen's was the original. Jeff covered him :)

Or was ZO the former student / dealer?

IMO it was ZO, he was at SW, during the time of the game, knew Lauren was
not with JW, maybe instead of trying to watch her for JW, he thought maybe she liked him but then someone sent phone pics of her w. CR at the bar.
Even tho DR as been "cleared",it may have been DR who reported to
the others what was going on via texts/pics, and maybe from Lauren's phone.

Could be. I believe I read somewhere (source is eluding me, sorry) that LS didn't like ZO ... or maybe that's hearsay. But that wouldn't preclude him liking her, even in a friendly way. IDK. So many questions.

I think DR met with LE and took an LE polygraph, which is probably what separates him. He probably has info about earlier in the night, though.

I wonder since her phone/shoes were found at Kilroys and given to whomever by whomever. (do we know?) if JW didn't receive a Photo/text/Pic of CR and LS while they were at Kilroys taken and sent by CR with her phone. Taking it, keeping it so he could keep her from calling JW or just so she would go home or he could go home with her. I think that is why they went to her apt after Kilroys.

I see girls do this all the time.. on fb... they are ticked off at their boyfriend and take "selfies" with some random guy or the new guy hugging, drinking together. Sort of like "see, I don't need you".

However, I don't think LS took it and sent it. Maybe that is what got him punched? JW tries to call/text her, then calls her roommate HT and says keep her there when she she gets home. They try to keep her there and send him home and CR isn't having it. Doesn't want her to stay- friends/guy friends scuffle but she leaves with him anyway? possible?

The bar keep finds the phone she left during her "being asked to leave". Sees the last text/call from JW and calls and lets him know her phone is there. I think I read that's how her phone was found. ( I've also seen girls kicking off heels if she wore heels that night. Feet might have been sore after her walk) But, this also lets JW know well ahead of time what she is up to.

Just typing out loud.

Snipped by me. I believe she was wearing flats that night. I'm not sure why she took them off, but the explanation that there's sand (outside) at Sports makes sense to me.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Sports called JW because he was the last number on her phone. I suppose CR could have fiddled with it, but I kind of see that as more of a girl vs. guy thing. I could be wrong.

You raise a good point about how invested CR was in being alone with LS that night. IDK if going back to SW with her was to further that goal, which the group at SW might have picked up on. But from that point on, he seemed intent on keeping her with him.

that's a pretty good scenario Ma. Just want to point out that although they are saying they "asked her to leave", it was closing time. So, they wouldn't be lying about that, but they also aren't acknowledging that at that point, they would be asking everyone to leave!
IMO, everything Kilroys' employees, spokesperson, etc, is saying is tainted with the fact that they served a minor who was already intoxicated, were the last people to serve her alcohol, and then she disappeared never to be seen again. JMO, but I don't believe a word they said about her, not even sure I believe she left her phone there.

I get alot of flak because I don't believe she left her phone there--but here's why: Apparently, CR knew she was missing by the next morning, when he was asking people around 5N if they had seen a small blonde girl.
We don't know how many people were texting about that in the morning, but CR was out and about, going to CVS, etc. If he was going around asking, he was probably also texting people, too.
If someone had her phone and was playing tricks on her to get her in trouble, mainly posting pics and texting about her being w. CR, the person who took her phone would probably high tail it to Kilroys and put it back.
The phone was discovered when JW kept calling it and this was in the afternoon, IIRC. Anyone could have brought it in starting at opening time
and no one would really notice. People have to realize Kilroys is not a classy bar where someone runs up to a new arrival and takes their order. Just the opposite! Around opening time, they would probably just wait for a customer to get their own drink from the bar.
Say you had been playing tricks on Lauren, first sending pics and texts all around, then keeping her phone from her and getting her all riled up and anxious to get it back pronto. Then, you find out you may have triggered her disappearance after she wouldn't stop looking for it even when she was in no condition to. Yes, you would want to get rid of that phone, especially if only a select few knew you had it. You would need to drop it off at Kilroys.
IMO. either CR dropped it back off, or someone in the HT and roomies group, ZO, ZC, DR, or even JRs out-of-town guests could have done this.
IMO, she could have lost the phone during the altercation at SW.

From the Safety flyer that Lauren's mother scribed:

"Let me repeat it: Lauren last used her cell phone at 12:16 a.m., just after midnight as June 2 became June 3 when she was still safely in the confines of Smallwood."

I do not think CR asking if anyone has seen the small blonde girls means that he knew LS was missing. He might of just been trying to find her because he had limited memory of the previous night and was trying to get a better picture of what had happened.

CS doesn't say if anyone else used it. also, I'm not even saying people were texting with it,they could have been using their own phones. she was still looking for her phone at 4 a.m. If she thought it was at Kilroy's, she would know she couldn't get it til the next day. Maybe someone picked it up at Kilroy's and then took it to 10th and College. (Zoe?) Maybe Lauren never intended to go to 5N, and was trying to get her phone from someone at 10th and College. First, they get hounded from SW, then no one would open the door for her at 10th and College. Someone who originally went to Kilroy's from the pregame party at JR's might've brought the phone all the way up to 5N,
skipping the altercation at SW because they went directly to 5N from KIlroy's.
Somehow, CR knew Lauren was missing that morning. Either he did it, or
someone called him that morning looking for Lauren. HT and gang, or DR?
Apparently, CR was looking for her before anyone else admits to have been looking for her.
even so, it's not a crime to hold someone's phone for them. But IMO someone is lying about Lauren's phone.
