I only just started looking into the case recently, because my mom and I have been going through genealogy information, and I hadn't been told all the details about this case until recently. For some context, my dad is Linda's great uncle, and Karen (Linda's mother) is my cousin. This case seems to be a touchy subject in my family, since my dad was fairly young when the murder happened, but I want to find closure for my cousin's case.
I also want to mention that I've sat down and talked to my dad about some of the details that he was told by his mother, since their family came to visit my grandparents rather frequently. From what I can tell, some of the details that my dad has told me aren't matching up with what I've read, so I want to try and gather as much information as possible to verify whether it's a detail that hasn't been released by the police or if it's false altogether.
Lastly, I understand that I'm a random stranger on the internet, so there's not really anything to prove my identity, but if there is any way I can help to bring this case to a conclusion and find closure, I would like to do so. It's been nearly 40 years and while I know there were some efforts to identify the DNA found on her, I don't believe there has been any progress in her case since 2019.
