IN -Man who crawls from ditch days after fatal crash answers lingering quest

  • #61
Well to his credit. It seems like the skid marks or lack of should prove that the crash was accidental.

They probably know the speed he was doing right before the crash.

But his fibbing says that he is looking out for self to avoid dui death charges.

Btw. The idiot said nobody would stop for me.

Well Gee Wally; Maybe the bag with the bowling balls scared people off?

When the crashed vehicle was investigated.. I wonder if she was in the passenger seat-- or if he'd placed her into the driver's seat to make it appear she'd been driving ?
Gruesome I know; but if he was planning to never say what happened other than he "...fell and hurt his shin..." According to the person who stopped for him.

Nice that his mom is rooting for him. :sheesh: :mummy:

Agree. But blood impact would clear that up.

So imo. He was in the drivers seat with a suspended license while high or drinking and getting high.

Now since he admits to driving while blaming the victim for everything else. Tells us he was driving (truth).

But his bullcrap reasons for staying for 3 days tells us that he used those 3 days to get rid of his bac.

Because some drunk drivers involved in hit and run crashes usually don't come forward until the alcohol is out of their system. Hint his Gatorade was lost.

So he drank water for 3 days to survive.

Police need your help finding a York County man involved in a crash that killed a woman earlier this month in Indiana.

Now a warrant is out for Bell's arrest, and police want the public to know that anyone who may be helping Bell out or help hide him could face charges too. Emph. mine

This was all that I could find for updates.
Wonder if they've spoken to his mother yet ? Something about this KB makes me think he'd hide out in places he's familiar with.

Why would she drive that far to pick him up because he wasn't legal to drive...
Then turn around and let him drive HER vehicle back?
That makes no sense either.
Having gone to pick up someone who's license was suspended... The last thing I'd do is let them drive my car.

Lots of info here.

http://www.ydr.com/story/news/2016/...ys-in-car-loved-girlfriend-who-died/90841186/

The two met online in May,*through a dating app called*MeetMe. Reed came to visit him, traveling from her Seymour, Indiana, home every other weekend to spend*time with Bell. She brought her son with her sometimes, and Bell recalled spending good times with the boy and his mother at Rocky Ridge Park.

He went to Indiana for the Fourth of July. He*met her mother. He fell in love with Nikki. She was getting a divorce, Bell said, and the two had plans to be together once the split was final.

This last trip, Reed drove to York County to pick Bell up because his license had been suspended. He had*been caught previously driving a vehicle without registration, inspection or insurance.

She did seem in love with him or at least infactuated for the time.

But he seemed like a methhead that was using her and really didn't care.

It would be interesting to know the results of his medical exam.

The part about KB being "..dazed and shook up... I was disoriented...." came from KB himself -- so far I haven't read anywhere else on msm about any sort of head injury.

After three days, though... is there any trace left of intoxicants, drugs, etc. even left ?
Also --how bad was the break in his leg-- like debilitating (as in --barely able to walk and reduced to crawling, in which case it makes no sense to be dragging two bowling balls with you !), or only a bad sprain ?
:moo:

Makes you wonder if he broke his leg himself using the bowling balls after he climbed up the steep hill. This is the most absurd story I've read in a long time.

I hadn't thought of that but have continually wonder where/how the bowling balls fit in.....hmmm, so strange all the way around. Totally possible IMO.

I wonder what rock this creep crawled under to avoid getting found this long?

Haven't been able to find anything ... not for lack of trying, either. :(

There's a post on NHR Memorial FB page from inmateinfo.indy.gov/IML ; with some booking info. about KB -- but I think it's from his prior arrest.

Also --posters to that page are asked to refrain from posting news articles-- so the post may not be up for long.

Can't find much other news except older articles.

Wonder how KB likes life in hiding ?

:moo:

I have no clue how I missed this story - what a weird one. Sad for this woman who sounds like she was taken advantage of by a liar and a thief. Love is blind, I know, I know...

I wondered if they had gone bowling and he drank too much beer at the alley and when he came to he wanted to take the bowling balls because of finger prints and was going to skeedadle out of there but someone spotted him before he could leave the area.

I agree the bowling balls fit into this somehow. I suspect one or both of them are his.

If life insurance is involved then it would not surprise me if he was waiting down in the ditch for someone to "find" them and he finally had to give up that plan after he couldnt take it any longer. Its either that or the accident was his fault and he is trying to get out of it.

I dont buy the head injury thing quite yet. Not after his previous charges for "theft by deception".

Yes - finally!

Oh my god he looks like someone I know (vague resemblance). Wouldn't put it past the person I know to do something like this either!

Guess who just got arrested????? Nice mug shot- what with the hospital gown and all...

:shame:

RSBM

Great news ! Thanks, meanmaryjean !

I'm skeptical about any answers -- he's hardly been forthcoming so far.

So, wasn't there a bolo out for him --or did he give false info to the hospital ? His eyes look a bit dilated in the photo-- does he have something in his system ?

Was he hiding at his mothers' house ? ( He does reside with her, according to earlier articles.)

KB seems like the type they'd need a tough, hardened detective to force some answers from. Just a slippery, sneaky man ; imo.

"...Report: Indiana woman was in boyfriend's lap when she was killed in crash..."

Aaaannndd... now we have another iteration of events.
Of, course, it is STILL Nikki's "fault" ! Smdh.

My .02 is that he was high as a kite or drunk, or both. Also my opinion is that maybe there were things KB hid from Nikki and maybe that was why she felt o.k. with him driving ?

This all has to be so frustrating for her poor kids ! :(
