She's currently serving a sentence for a burglary that happened in 2018, an F4 in Pulaski County. There was confusion about time served. She'll likely be done with that on 3/05/2021.

As soon as she's completed that sentence, she'll go to Newton County where she will be eligible for release on bond until they decide what they'll do with her case there. However, VINElink shows she's currently in custody at the Newton Co jail but I don't know how up-to-date that info is.

Her Newton Co pretrial conference was still on the Doxpop court calendar yesterday but they haven't updated her case yet as to her next court date.

I agree.

Right after the first appearance, there's usually a pre-disposition hearing that typically gives us an idea if the defendant is putting together a legal defense team, etc., and getting ready for the preliminary hearing.

Since they were finally set for trial, this may be the first time the prosecution has offered her a plea deal.

Through the development of this case, Garth has become a primary suspect as well and we are currently negotiating a plea agreement with her attorney.

At Kirts sentencing on January 11, 2021 -- the DA stated they were working on a plea deal for Garth. I expect they will keep the trial on the calendar until the deal is complete. I don't expect Garth will go to trial.

Thanks! I was thinking that since they haven't had a court hearing since late January. And "thought" I had read that somewhere - what you just posted about the DA stating a plea deal.
