I first thought the fake PRH looked younger than he said he was but he could have been older.
What do you guys think of this man?

Maybe he's too old? Ithink there's a resemblance.
Interesting possibility. I actually see it!

I attempted to straighten the images up. Someone here has got to be much better at that! :D

Just getting my power and internet back after riding out Hurricane Fiona here in Grand Barachois, NB. We've a lot of clean up to do, but we made out lucky!!

Opened the site to see that post and IMMEDIATELY thought the same thing and came here.

Hey y’all. As someone who was also heavily into researching FLEK, this case is fascinating! Too bad this is buried in the 1990’s missing forum, it might fit better in Unidentified. I need to go back to the beginning and read all the posts before I comment. In the mean time, the photos of “PRH” hit me as familiar. A guy I knew as a teenager in the 1970’s popped into my mind. It’s a long-shot but hit me in a way that kept me awake last night thinking about it.

I do see the resemblance to James Raymond Taylor. Wonder if there was a series of unsolved rapes of teenaged girls in that part of Indiana in the early 1990’s? With James Taylor’s known history it’s likely that he continued committing those horrible crimes.

IMHO, Taylor is too old.

Family resemblance, along with family criminal tendencies???

I agree. Taylor (born in 1939) would be much older than PRH.

Just too bad that we can't send his picture to NCIS or the BAU, they'd have a photo match before the next commercial break.

:D

Wait, I'm rethinking... was the real PRH born in 1942 AND was the fake PRH using that same birth year as his own?? 1939 vs 1942, not much difference.

Well you're certainly correct there -- Not-Paul has certainly aged since his blow-dried Members Only jacket piccie!

Copied from the James Taylor thread:

Las Vegas - Nevada in 1970's
(Whereabouts Unknown, 1976 to present)

Plenty of time to reach the Midwest and swipe Paul Harrod's info from his headstone!

I really hope the detective is still active on the thread. I think it’s worth looking into!

Not much difference at all it would seem.

DOB for James Raymond Taylor is 22 December 1939. So the end of 1939.

The fake Paul Raymond Harrod is listing his age as "50" in the Marriage Record signed on 6 June 1992. (linked here: IN - IN - Paul Raymond Harrod, adult, may have been using false identity, Hamilton County, 27 Nov 1992)

So really could be as little as 2.5 years difference. If James Raymond Taylor and Paul Raymond Harrod are one in the same, he is actually 52 years old in the marriage photo vice the listed 50. Perhaps just a family blessed with good genes (unlike mine!).

We have noted hinky connections with names previously in our hunt for fake-Paul. "Coletti", "Diane Rae", and now a doppleganger with a confirmed killer (JRT) and a confirmed fraudulent identity (PRH) who just happen to share middle names. One goes ghost in 1976 and another pops up a few years later with an already-well-established fake-identity.

In every lie, there is a bit of truth - I wonder if the use of "Raymond" may be one of those. We just need to figure out all the bits of PRHs story and details that were the 'truths' and get these puzzle pieces together. Maybe this is another one of the pieces or "slip ups" that he has made.

@CyresAres1 ... what are your thoughts on this? Any chance you can make contact with Marla agin to show her this James Raymond Taylor character to see what she thinks? I mean, she did marry the PRH so would possibly recognize him better than we do.

@Glace Entertainment

Seems that @CyresAres1 is otherwise occupied. Are you able to reach out to him direct as a verified insider on this case and in contact with him ... this latest development regarding JRT may be the tip he needs!

Is our Not-Paul listed in Namus?

Would it be disrespectful to our @CyresAres1 to email the page coordinator? (Might be the regional coordinator?)

I don't believe that he is. I need to check NAMUS because I honestly cannot recall!

Edit to add: I don't see a NAMUS listing for PRH.

I think our good detective is on the right track with his latest 'suspect' rather than the suggestion of Taylor as suggested by posters here. I really don't think there is a big resemblance in looks. I agree with our detective who after all is a professional at this and has id'ed a more likely guy IMO.

Surely he is the professional. We and he have been wrong before (Alaska guy anyone?).

But, in all fairness to posters in this thread, he did ask us for our thoughts, assistance etc so while this tip may not pan out, he is - as the pro - the guy to be ruling it out.

What I'm just trying to say really is that I only see a small resemblance to the latest suggestion IMO. I think our detective found a very good match, even better than Alaska guy.

And, I get a lot of exercise jumping to conclusions!

Looking forward to resolution here, even though it looks like Not-Paul really hasn't hurt anyone? Leaving the wife wasn't OK, but heck if he left at Thanksgiving & she didn't report him missing until after Easter. Perhaps she didn't miss him?

This one is like putting a jigsaw puzzle together -- we can see some pieces, but not the picture on the box lid.
