Did he really say that he came across the body/bag in August when he went into the woods to relieve himself?

Wudge, he said he SAW something suspicious, right? How would he know it was something suspicious amongst all of that trash?

Wudge, it takes a hell of a lot of imagination to come up with such a convoluted plot. There is ZERO evidence that this guy did anything wrong. Bodies are almost always found like this - someone fishing, someone hunting, someone hiking, someone taking a leak, someone walking a dog, kids out playing, I know of very few cases where LE is actively searching for a missing person and find the body. They're not little laid out skeletons, they look like rocks and branched and sticks and garbage.

The most likely explanation, and the simplest, is that this guy and his co-worker are sitting in the truck yakking, maybe about this case, Kronk goes in past the treeline to pee, sees something and then thinks (like all of us would, "nah, that can't be what I think it is" goes about his day and then when he has time to think about it, feels that maybe he should call it in.

The way people are trashing this poor guy and ruining his reputation, I bet he rues the day he ever got involved in this case. Imagine you're Kronk and everyone is now suspicious of you for doing nothing more than a citizen's obligation to help LE.

That is the million dollar question. One that bugs me a lot.:waitasec:

To me, this is all about Kronk (a former bounty hunter) angling for the reward on Caylee.

Nope. He never mentions relieving himself on Aug 11 - only on Dec 11. In fact, if you listen to him on GMA, it seems that he entered the woods on Aug 11 because he thought it was a likely place to dump Caylee.

If I imagine I'm Kronk with a big child-care debt that I need to pay off (case reward will do just fine) and I have a friend that is a neighbor of the Anthony's, I start thinking about inside info opportunities.

And quite a few other people thought it was a likely place to, including a friend of KC, Equusearch and LE who looked back when KC's friend told them about it.

Hey, I said that first. I want credit. :laughbig: :blowkiss:

Cherish, I'll wrestle you for credit........:woohoo::slap::xena_banana:

According to Kronk on GMA, he entered the woods on Aug 11 because he thought it would be a good place to dump a body. Not a word about having to pee.

& don't *wonder* about anything, either

Kronk on GMA

Exactly.

This former bounty hunter (they live and breathe on inside info) just happens to nail the exact spot -- first time out no less.

(My Mother didn't raise me to be a fool.)

How would he get inside info? The only way he would have gotten inside info was if he was visiting KC and she told him.

Respectfully snipped-

Right after Caylee's body was found and the Kronk story was coming out, a poster here mentioned that one of her relatives discovered a body in this manner. Stopped on the side of the road and went off a little bit to deal with nature out of view of the road and came across a dead body.

She also said he was pretty traumatized by the event.

IIRC....LP said they lived across the street fro Kio's parents....

(all credit goes to LP)

Must have been a different interview with LP. In the one I heard, all I heard mentioned was the first name and the term neighbor. Not saying LP did not know or mention it at another time.

I am still wondering though - is it a fact or an LP theory?

(LP ... every time I see that I think Liquid Propane)

One way would be for someone to use a scanner to listen in on cellular phone calls or tap into a wi-fi home computer net (local area network).

What was bleeped out of Kronk's recording to LE back in August? I'm very curious about that. I believe he saw more than we know in August-just what that is, I don't know, but I hope it will come out at trial.

Disclaimer: The fact that I have questions doesn't mean I am bashing or trashing Kronk.

Right, Pirate, right off hand, I can't think of any cases where cops actively searching for a body found one. I'm sure there are a few, but I can't remember any. If he went into the woods thinking "boy, I hope I find the body and get that big reward" it still doesn't affect the case in any way.

Didn't he also say he first tried to report it anonymously and that's why he didn't want to call the crimeline?

Do you really believe that the police were yakking about this on an open frequency, do you really think that the Anthonys, who had to suspect that their phones were tapped, and knew their computers could be seized at any time were leaving messages for each other as to the location of the body, something that only KC could have known? Why in the world, would KC want that body found? As long as the body wasn't found she had a slim chance of either a plea or a sentence with possible parole. She's the last person who wanted that body found.

To me the most telling thing in this situation that proves that he did NOT just go into the woods to pee and HAPPEN to find the bag is when he says in the GMA interview that he did not get any tips that "I FIGURED THIS OUT all by myself" and later that " I was just TRYING TO BRING CLOSURE to this case" neither of these statements support the fact that he just happened upon a suspicious bag while trying to do his job as a meter reader. He admits that he spent time figuring things out and was trying to involve himself in this case.

But Kronk was not relieving himself in August. He was searching for Caylee's body and just happened to nail the exact spot where Caylee's body was, seemingly on his first try.
