Clark Circuit Court 4 is streaming and a reporter is in there talking to LE. I'm hoping this is where this trial is happening!

It's off to an interesting start. The lawyers started things about a half hour early. Defense was not happy about the decision to continue with the trial due to Covid. The prosecutor countered and the judge sided with him. The sound isn't the greatest and defense is still wearing a mask.

Shortly before 10:00, the sound went out but no one noticed until they all stood up to begin the court session. They were working on that when the stream stopped. They just now got it fixed but the sound is still not good.

Thanks for the commentating @FrostedGlass - is anyone tweeting? I can copy those over here if you like?

I see you posted the above almost 3 hours ago - anything else happen? Witnesses? or give me a tweet link! :)

I had to leave for a while and when I came back, they apparently had taken a break because they were offline. They just came back a little while ago and the the attorneys were giving papers to the judge.

The first witness just came on but I didn't catch her name. She was a co-worker, I think.

April tweeted this article but it's behind a paywall.

That witness was her best friend, who called LE to check on her.

Prosecution called Raelyn Mitchell, the police dispatcher who took the 3 am 911 call from Tammy. They played the call but it was hard to make out. Defense asked if Tammy ever said that Joseph assaulted her and the answer was "No."

Here's an article I just got on google alert.

Opening statements delivered in Oberhansley trial

Sept. 11, 2020
JEFFERSONVILLE — Six years to the day after 46-year-old Tammy Jo Blanton was found mutilated in her Jeffersonville home, opening statements were delivered in the Clark County trial of the man accused of killing her.
[.....]
In opening statements, which began just before 11 a.m., Clark County Prosecutor Jeremy Mull restated some of Blanton's last words made on the 911 call on the morning of her death.

"'He's made me very, very afraid,'" Mull told the jury Blanton said.

He said that Blanton and Oberhansley had met four or five months before and started dating, "but by September 2014, she was done," Mull said.
[.....]
Mull said when Oberhansley was questioned by police, he first said Blanton had been killed by two male intruders, but later admitted to killing her.
[.....]
The prosecutor told the jury to expect gruesome images and details, and said he would be as efficient as possible with the evidence.

"Photos, horrendous," he said. "It's worse than anything you would see in a horror movie."

Defense attorney Bart Betteau said the statements Mull made — that it's a horrible case, that Tammy had been afraid and was brave in her last moments — don't prove a case; he called it emotional evidence.
[.....]
The defense attorney told the jury that while opening statements provide a synopsis of what the coming evidence will be, it is the state's burden to present evidence that proves its case.
[.....]
Court broke just before 11:30 and is expected to resume at 1 p.m. with the first witness testimony. .....

I believe the judge said they would get to leave early today. The stream stopped and they haven't come back yet. It's probably been a hard week for all concerned.

@FrostedGlass - you mentioned 4 more witnesses - but when I access the link - it is one I have to put into "Outline" cause I can't access it over here in Europe.

Could you list who they were & occupation please? TIA! :)

Never mind @FrostedGlass - I got another article - and it gave the rest of the witnesses.
