A Silver Alert has been issued for Terry Fodemski, 64, of Winfield, who is believed to be on foot. Fodemski has bipolar disorder and is believed to be off his medication. He was described as white, 6 foot 3, 190 pounds and balding with gray hair and blue eyes.

UPDATE: Search for missing 64-year-old Winfield man continues, Lake County Sheriff's Department takes over case

Search dogs, a helicopter, multiple drones and investigating authorities have come up empty-handed in the search for a 64-year-old man who was last seen Friday, the Lake County Sheriff's Department said.

The Lake County Sheriff's police are now exclusively handling the case, Emiliano Perez, department spokesman, said.

"The investigation is continuing and we are currently searching for photos and videos from local businesses in attempt to find out when he was in the area last," Perez said.

Search continues for Winfield man, 64, missing since Nov. 2

Family and police are still looking for a 64-year-old Winfield man who hasn’t been heard from in nearly three weeks.

George and Nancy Dubovich, of Valparaiso, said they aren’t sure where Terry Alan Fodemski would have gone.

“He’s never done anything like this before,” George Dubovich said.

$5K reward for info on man last seen in NW Indiana a month ago

The family of a man reported missing over a month ago from northwest Indiana is offering a $5,000 reward for information on his whereabouts.

A body believed to be Terry Alan Fodemski had been found in the icy retention pond on 109th Avenue near Winfield's Holy Spirit Church. Fodemski attended the church, his family said.

Volunteers found the body at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday while changing a marquee sign in front of the church.
