Inconsistencies in DB's Story

Jeremy has also said the lights were ALL on - he was IN the house. The lights were of the utmost importance until the Dr. Phil show. Wonder why not so much now?

What do you think she's covering for, the fact that she left the lights on right before JI showed up and now has to minimize that lights were even on in the first place? In other words, you actually believe JI when he said the lights were on?

Did DB/JI actually accuse/insinuate something about JB? I'd like to hear it from their own mouths first.

They cannot open up the time frame. They cannot try to float the story that BL was abducted prior to 11:30pm because that puts awake human beings in the house at that time (two boys, one girl at certain times). Unless you believe SB was bold faced lying about seeing BL at 6:40pm (what motive for that lie?), the baby was alive and well when DB went outside to drink.

There were awake human beings in the house between 10:30 and 11:30? First I've heard this....where is this coming from?

I don't know what to believe - but there has to be some reason DB was startled out of bed and they've said all along it was because the lights were all on, the window was open, and the door was unlocked.

DB said herself that she left the window open and couldn't remember if she locked the door or not....that leaves all the lights on because NOW she says there were only the few.

Why is she changing the story now? No clue - but I'll bet there's a reason.

Do you know when the boys went to sleep? And when did SB's daughter leave the house?

So, in other words, you believe she is trying to open her timeline to 10:30pm? Didn't she already do that when she said went she went into the house and went to sleep? (blacked out)?

I think we went over this before, but isn't normal human reaction, when you come out of a sleep, the first things someone says to you is 'the lights are on, window open and door unlocked, what happened', wouldn't a normal person auto alert to that, coming out of a sleep. I assume the sleep was somewhat a deep sleep, since she had been drinking.

IMO, I think the lights are nothing. I think they realize that saying all the lights were on makes them look less credible, so now they are trying to make it seem like it was just his perspective vs her perspective. Where it started out with DB saying she turned off the lights and SB confirming she saw the lights go out. JI said all the lights were on. Now they are saying JI was over reacting, and DB is saying she left 4 lights on.

Off topic, but still not really. I will be one of the guests next Sunday night on Websleuths Radio. Just got off the phone with Tricia.

Perhaps LE has moved on about the lights.

I cant stay. I have to head out. But DB has told me some time ago that Jeremy over generalized about the lights. She said there was a light on over the stove, a night light-type on the living room and a light on in the computer room. Not sure if this is accurate and they've gotten together on their story or what she's telling me is true.

Until I'm verified user later today, I'll sign my post. :)

When did PN see DB "drunk enough to pass out"? He supposedly left the house after driving Lisa to the store - reports say 5:30 pm. So, was she drunk at 5:30?? DB says she drank at least 5 glasses of wine - was this before or after PN left? Or is this another lie by omission, she was just addressing how much she had from the box she bought at Fiesta?

DB told me she had a buzz. I questioned how drunk she was. She said she was not to the point of passing out. Again, for what it's worth. She said there was wine left over and the LE measured the amount. See you all later. I'm headed out to brave the snowy/icy roads to serve a few summonses. :)

Funny how she remembers, in detail, which lights she left on, but not whether or not she checked on BL. Besides, they have two little boys, those lights (with the exception of the computer room), should have been left on.

The abductor took Lisa and the three phones by the light of a night light and an overhead stove light? Awesome.

I am having to believe this is some more bad reporting. Why would only one out of town newspaper be the ONLY one reporting this info? Doesn't make any kind of sense. Isn't this also the same paper that mistakenly stated that he stayed there? No other paper has reported this. Not local. Not national.

Lights, again. This is treated as an inconsistency when it may be SB that is wrong/waffling, not DB.

When looking out the window can anyone see the lights on on the opposite side of their neighbor's house? Remember SB was drinking, what has Shane or JB, for that matter, said about the lights? I am waiting to see what jersey has to say. NO ONE is talking about him.

JP: “Were the lights on or off when you went to bed?”
DB: “I turned them all off.”

I'll take 'some time ago' as before the Dr. P. interview. So it sounds like they knew (or discussed themselves) early on that JI was overgeneralizing.

I don't think that amount of light gives off a whole lot of light. I should know, I have the exact kind of lights on at night as well. An intruder isn't going to shy away from a house just because of 'night lights'.
