I know Juan is doing a good job but I wish Juan would make more use of visiual aids. Like having a replica of the closet. It would not take much effort to have an exact closet replica built and brought right into the courtroom. I think it really would help show the jury how ridiculous her story was of her climbing to the top corner in such a short time. It seemed very high up there in pictures.

I know I mentioned before but if they would do this and have either Jodi or someone her size try to climb it, I think it would be amazingly detrimnetal to her story. I doubt Jodi could even climb up there and reach that corner. Even if she could, she surely could not do it quickly.

Also, he could create a small scale model of the floor layout and have it available during the questioning. Her story is so confusig and if he had a small model of the bathroom area where he could put figurines and stuff it would be amazing to show how she lied about her running around.

Things like this would really help him show how her story is false with all the running around she said she did.

I think/hope that her story is so ridiculous that even the slowest juror sees that without the need for a visual aid. But yes, I do remember the CA verdict so maybe he should..however, if any of them don't know it's a lie by now, even visual aids might not help.

I have this idea that Jodi took something Travis said or did at some point and twisted it to accuse him of being a pedophile -- under the guise of expressing concern for him and a desire to help him with his "problem." I would not be at all surprised if she tried to convince Travis that there was something seriously wrong with him and held it over his head as a way to devalue him and knock him down.

I agree. This is how they work.

The DA have four (count 'em 4) instances that JA has cited as "abuse"? Right. NOT one single person is available to corroborate. Not one. The four incidents at best (apart from the "finger breaking" one) could well be part of any passionate (albeit stupid) relationship. I know lots of wonderful people who have, on occasion behaved stupidly/out of character. That's it. She's basing a post-traumatic-stress reaction of 4 (count them - really, four) incidents. She may have been offended my other things like the porch/toblerone incident, but who says that's "assault"? Only JA does. How do we know that it wasn't just one of her sex fantasies? Her own sex tape clearly shows her proclivity for being "debased". Her words, not mine.

As she described the incidents, I would call that abuse - not just part of a passionate relationship. However, I do not believe these things happened, mostly because there has been evidence presented that tends to show the events could not have happened as Jodi describes.

1. The finger breaking incident - First of all, she told Flores she cut the finger on the knife while Travis was being stabbed (although she attributed it to the female ninja). Aside from that, Jodi said the incident happened because Travis got mad that she would not lend him money on January 22 after she had already lent him several hundred dollars. He called her selfish and said he was sick of her, threw her on the ground and kicked her. Evidence has shown that on Jan 21, 22, Travis was lending Jodi money, not the other way around -- she mentions this in her text messages and says she'll make it up to him soon. She conceded on x-exam that Travis was lending her money.

2. The pedophile incident on Jan 21 could not have happened because there was no time during that day that she could have been over at Travis' house. This was shown through the timing and context of the text messages between them on Jan 21.

3. When he supposedly backhanded her in the car when she was telling him she was going to move -- her journal entries at that time talk about how much she loves Travis, and she went and had sex with him later that day and there's no mention of Travis doing anything like backhanding her.

4. The choking incident -- I totally missed this when she testified about it and would love to watch it if anyone knows what day this was. All I know is that since her testimony about it, she has said numerous times that he almost killed her.

5. Grabbing her wrist to keep her from running out -- eh, the way she described it does not sound abusive. Was this the same incident of him pushing her down when she landed on her knees? IT's hard to keep track because she keeps changing her stories.

My mom (she's 84 God love her), she picks one, we write it and save it someplace for her, then she panics and say "noo no, that wasn't it" and we pull out the paper and say give it a try and boom.....pw works.

We bought her an iPad for her 84th, my SIL was a bit miffed (I think she figured she's too old and won't use it), but my mom is rocking Facebook every day!! lol

Anyone that has ever had hickeys on their neck [ :angel:] WOULD KNOW that neither make up nor concealer can cover it up. You need heavy duty commercial grade make-up designed for that sort of thing.

ITA! That's her perfect crime (not the murder). Minor4th wrote a great post about her belief that Jodi's sole purpose in going to trial is to blacken Travis' reputation and hurt all his friends and family, the ones who didn't like her.

I think it would be great if they took the jury on a little road trip to the crime scene. Wonder if that is possible with someone else now living in the house?

This is one of the rare occasions when I would disagree with you. I think if she'd come up with this idea earlier, her PD attorney would have used it. It doesn't appear to have surfaced until Jodi decided to act as her own attorney. I think she accused him of something else, like the alleged affair with the married Mormon woman, which would have made him look really bad in the eyes of his friends & his church -- although we, the general public, might not find such an accusation so horrifying. Not really sure.


ETA: I believe her accusation also did not occur until she had "letters" from Travis allegedly discussing his "problem." I don't think she brought it up until she had "proof." JMO

You could be right. It just wouldn't surprise me if she had tried to bully him with pedo accusations while he was still alive.

When did the letter first appear? 2010?
