So, you live in/near El Paso. Is that big smelter still in the middle of the city? I read somewhere they were thinking of re-activating it. Sorry for the threadjack.

Yep I be in El Paso.UGH. Next door to the murder capitol of the world ruled by cartels which I can also see having gun fights in the streets. The smelter is FINALLY going to be demolished after years of battle with those who think it's some kind of historical monument that needed to be preserved even though it's a cesspool of asbestos and even though there have been hundreds of lawsuits filed by person who had been poisoned by it.

Can someone please make a sticky of the Time Zone/DST map on the top of the forum?

I guess it keeps getting buried and everyone seems to ask about it.

Just type in google "time in phoenix"

ETA.... Az doesn't observe DST

Do you all remember this post from me?
My daughter's think I'm obsessed over this trial. When they call..I'm like I am watching the trial! When they come home I have Live stream on the computer and In session on the TV. So Thurs. night they came in with a big box for me, and said UPS just delivered this. I opened it up and It was orange scrubbs, (my daughter's a vet tech) and a pair of spiderman underware!! and the letter said :

Dear Debbie,

Didn't I look pretty today?
See you Monday!!!

Love Jodi

PS Take a pic in them & send it to me

Well this morning when I got up, this picture was on my screen saver !!
I about peed my spiderman panties laughing at what my daughter had done

Dang I can't get it to print. They have the pic saved as benjodi, I don't see a url no. on it...Can anyone help? I promise you it will be a good laugh before trial

Are your daughters married? Can I introduce them to my sons? They're really nice boys. One of them used to be a vet tech, too. I would love to have someone with a sense of humor join the family! :floorlaugh:

It's pretty clear that Arias had a Plan A and Plan B situation going.

She planted evidence ON HIS CAMERA, leaving hers in the car. She had a phone sex tape. She was ready to blackmail him into taking her to Cancun. She was waxed, hair like Mimis, had sunblock, ready-to-go. She even had time to visit Utah and come back in time for a June 10th departure. By redefining the definition of "sex" she could still be that one-man-at-a-time woman (only having perhaps given RB a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, which in Jodi Whoreland doubles as a handshake).

I concur with the poster who mentioned that Travis' appearance with Mimi would end her pretending she was still his girlfriend on social media and with PPL/Mormon church.

What she may NOT have known and what we know is that Travis had already gone to the bishop. Since he was not excommunicated, he would be placed on probation and possibly disfellowshipped (meaning he couldn't take communion) but would definitely be considered in the repentance process.
Part of that process was for him to name his partner and agree not to see her again. He would have said, no problem she moved away and indeed, he failed to come visit her in Yreka when he said he was coming.

He did have phone sex with her during that time but we don't know if that was before or after his confession to the bishop. I have no doubt that his repentance was sincere. I don't believe he knew JA was coming to his home to blackmail him into taking her to Cancun.

He would NOT be able to do that because if he showed up with her after promising the bishop he would not see her again, he would be EXCOMMUNICATED. This would be a terrible setback in his life and would make him virtually unmarriagable in the Mormon world. He would not only be a pariah until he was rebaptized, the stricter Mormon women would not date him at all and he would always have to "reveal" that he had this blot on his character in his past.

Travis was already 30 years old. Taking JA to Cancun would literally destroy his chances with Mormon virgins. By the time he could overcome the stigma of excommunication, he would be sent back to attend the family wards and would no longer have a plethora of nubile, marriage-minded virgins to pick from.

He could not be seen with her--ever and he was over the clandestine stuff.

I don't believe Travis died in sin--quite the opposite. I think he died because he refused the sex and refused the blackmail. (The sex photos are terrible from so many standpoints and look forced to me)

I figured she was Hispanic based on her names and appearance, and it's just a small pet peeve. I just find it odd to hear her speak without the accent then to throw it in there and then back to no accent.

Yes and the way Jinx goes about her pronounciation of Hispanic words has WAYYY too much emphasis on when she says it/them. It sounds like my 9th grade Spanish teacher when she was trying to teach us Spanish words and their pronounciation. It doesn't sound fluid when Jinx says her Hispanic words. Instead, it sounds rather ridiculous.

That place is torture to read. I haven't lurked there in weeks. I stopped after one nutcase wrote, "I hate Travis so much" and one woman's description of the murder (it was so dehumanizing). They're so evil, hating on a man who has been dead for 5 years and who is now being murdered again at the trial of his murderer.

The Jodi supporters fall into three categories.

1. Man haters
2. Mormon haters
3. White knights in shining armor (think Carr)

They're a sick bunch. I find the "white knights" the most offensive. Some of them have even expressed fantasies to marry her when she is "acquitted".

I took a look at that 'other site' and am ashamed to say that for a brief moment it scared me - only because I was reminded that there are actually people who want to believe in her so much that they are able to twist or overlook cold hard evidence. I let my mind go to 'what if' regarding the jury.

I rushed over here for some good old Voice of Reason from those of you that consistently, articulately, thoughtfully, and often passionately provide it. Thanks so much to all you, especially Karengo for inviting me here. I feel so much better!

I still think its possible there could be a juror or two that might not completely get it, but it doesnt matter because I believe in this Jury. When it comes time to deliberate, I have faith they will stay as long as it takes to convince any holdout there might be, by going over their doubts or questions with the evidence.

I actually enjoyed the break from the trial and didn't read here much or watch ongoing coverage of the case. I'm looking forward to more testimony today as JM challenges Jodi on her lies and bull@#$%. I'll be watching livestream on CNN and joining you here for discussion. With the time change, DH will be able to watch some of the trial with me when he gets home.

BBM. Bette, what is WRONG with you? :floorlaugh:

And she really poured it on when she was in Peru/Columbia covering sicko Vandersloth's trial.

Juan did it too, I noticed at some point in the trial. Can't remember which day..but he did do it. Then he stopped. Weird

I noticed this too. I think he stopped after Nurmi asked Jodi how her surname is commonly pronounced. To call attention to Juan using a different pronunciation.

I wouldn't think so, given the nature of their questions. The jury is very pro prosecution.

The people at that other place can babble as long and loud as they want to. In the end, all that noise doesn't change the facts. JA is a murderer. She is guilty. Period.

Any bets on what Mommy and Auntie will be doing today in court? More snickering? I tend to think they both know what a psycho Jodi is and are enjoying the idea that she won't be around to make trouble anymore.

I'm thinking that might have been the result of his first stab wound to the heart .... maybe slid down the shower wall ... then that last photo (up close) strange, haunting look in his eyes ... I have always wondered if he had already been stabbed in the heart ... then somehow managed to get up and stagger to the sink .... he looks so defeated and "wounded" in that last picture. I just can't get it out of my head.

<snipped by me>

1st off.... (((hugs)))

2nd..... I have always felt like you.... I believe that last picture of Travis alive tells us a lot.... it's a haunted, confused look.... not a look that one would have while "posing" for a picture. Just my opinion, but I believe he had been stabbed seconds before that picture was taken. And it absolutely, positively, breaks my heart.

Excellent post, my friend.

Do you think he would have agreed to see her if she offered to "apologize" for her behavior? Perhaps to discuss her going to her bishop as well? That's my theory for being the only reason he might open the door to her on June 4th.
