The difference is that you said you drink "occasionally," which doesn't seem to be the case here. Also, why do you think that they tell you to wean off of many anti-anxiety/antidepressant drugs? It is because it stays consistently in your body. If someone is taking an anti-anxiety or antidepressant drug and it only lasts 6-12 hours in their system, they aren't treating their problem adequately.

I do not drink, but do take anxiety meds. Most they start out with a low dose and slowly bump you up over weeks. One I take, zoloft, can cause withdrawal symptoms or nasty side affects is stopped cold turkey or dose started too high.

Dear Daddy,

Please tell the LE the truth, everything you know about Mom.

She told Megyn Kelly (I saw this part.) that she had 5-10 glasses of wine. She smirked and giggled in the interview when asked if she had a drinking problem.

I find it fascinating how many people can watch the same interview and come out with such different impressions.

What you saw as a smirk and giggle, I saw as a defensive reaction. That is called denial, she does not want to admit that she has a drinking problem. It is not an admission of guilt or being smug about her missing child.

I thought this seems unlikely at first as well, until I saw the picture of Lisa's crib with the bumpers still on!

A baby can use the bumpers to stand on and get some height, possibly getting over the crib rail.

It's possible, but I don't think PROBABLE...

I'm wondering about the interview where she said the baby was standing up when she went back in to check on her, don't rememer which one. I wonder if she layed Lisa back down and held her down till she smothered her. If she was drunk I'm not sure she would have realized right away she had smothered the chile....this is only and IF situation.

The rumor about burned clothes being found was originally together with a text at 2:38AM from one of their phones, so perhaps both are true after all.

Just to clarify; Debra was shown something that showed a ping from her phone. Reference GMA video from today (10/17/11).

i have 2 boxes in my frig

white box 12%
black box 13.5%

all these confessions about drinking simply gives Deb an out for the "gaps" in her timeline, imo

Glad you posted this. You can buy all kinds of wines with different alcohol content. Being in a box or a bottle makes no difference. I think it really depends upon the size of the glass. If they were using regular wine glasses it could have been less than 3 or 4 ounces. If it was a big goblet that is another thing. jmo

To most of us, more than five drinks = three sheets to the wind...... really, that's a lot of wine, almost two bottles (there are three glasses per bottle). I think she's defensive about drinking wine and going to the store to get it..... It all comes back to that wine, IMO she knows she should NOT have been drinking, even omitted the trip to the police as it would likely cast doubt on an abduction and likely lead police down the path of a mistake..... A mistake made in "good faith" would be my child falling down the stairs when I am sober. A mistake in "bad faith" my child falling down the stairs when I am drinking. A mistake with no time behind bars can quickly turn into serious time behind bars when you add in the "bad faith" issue.....

wait, what? 3 per bottle would mean you're using regular water cups. Most people drink it from a wine glass and get 5-6 glasses per bottle.

Talk about bad luck. On top of all the other coincidences in this case now a kidnapper happened to pick the night that mommy was drunk off her butt to take baby Lisa.

Or, to play devil's advocate, the kidnapper knew about mom's drinking problem*, and was watching and/or waiting for a night where she would be drinking. If there was a kidnapper, this drinking problem could be one of the reasons Lisa was targeted.

* At this point, I'm considering this an alleged drinking problem, as we have no evidence that this has occurred more than once. This could just as easily be a poor interaction between medication and alcohol, and so I'm reserving judgment at this time.

Searching for alcohol content Franzia box brought me to this site that tested actual alcohol vs. listed alcohol content, lol:

http://www.beekmanwine.com/prevtopbh.htm

If you scroll to the second blue box, near the bottom you see Chablis Franzia box is at 8.8% but listed as 11% on the box, much less than a bottle of wine, not that it matters, but thought it was interesting just the same.

Yes! Like he's afraid to say something. Always thought it was just a power structure in their marriage, but having something on him makes sense.

It's called co-dependence...

I *really* wish the media would stop trying to prosecute the case and convict DB. There is plenty of time for that *after* Lisa is found. Plus, I am afraid that all of this media feeding frenzy is going cloud and contaminate any case LE eventually brings against DB or anyone else.

Stop the name calling in this thread and the bashing please. No names at all. No bashing.

Until we have real facts calling the Mom is liar is not allowed. Discuss that you feel she may have told untruths. Do not call her a liar or anything else. Do not attach names to this Mom.

Sorry Grandmaj, I thought because of the conflicting information she has given, that is was ok to post. Will delete.

The problem is : regardless of whether or not she is a raging drunk, she is in NO position to be defensive about anything considering her baby is missing. People desperate for the truth aren't normally defensive when they are trying to find their baby.

I think I hope the comments about weight were just in relation to how quickly the body would process the alcohol. If not then that's not right!!!!

Did I miss something? She drinks 2-3 tmes a week. That's not the same as getting drunk 2-3 times a week.

None of us will ever know if she gets drunk or just drinks 2-3 times per week. I worded it wrong.....

People who I've known that has black out during drinking a few glasses of wine or any alcoholic beverage normally under mind what they have drunk! Also refuse to admit how many days a week they do drink.

I agree and that is what I observed. It was more like 'are you kidding me'. Like she can't believe the questions she is being asked because they are so ridiculous. I also think a lot of her attitude and demeanor is her age. Don't know how old she was when her mother died, but lots of kids now days are not taught respect. jmo

In either the GMA or NBC interview which aired this morning, Deborah said that she believes LE has lied to her. One of her examples was, according to Deborah, they told her they found burnt clothes. Deborah has come to believe (she did not say why) that LE was lying to her about that.

To be clear, LE has not stated that they found burnt clothes - at least not officially to the public. So this is all from Deborah's comments.

Well, if she did "something" and didn't burn any clothes then she would know that the cops were lying to her about it.

I still want to believe these people. I still want it to be a stranger abduction from someone who desperately wanted a baby. But if any of today's stories are true, I am not sure I will be as open minded.
