If she's going to try to claim that she took xanax, drank alot of booze, and then blacked out, as her defense...she better hope her jury is made up of 15 year old boys.

Just sayin.

Anybody else feel like their plans for the day have been shot down waiting on pins and needles for more info?

I do not drink, but do take anxiety meds. Most they start out with a low dose and slowly bump you up over weeks. One I take, zoloft, can cause withdrawal symptoms or nasty side affects is stopped cold turkey or dose started too high.

Exactly! That's why I said that these medications are meant to be in your body consistently...and now just for a few hours after you take them.

DB said she was drunk. I am inclined to believe her on that. Is that in dispute? I ask because all of this talk about how many drinks are in a box, the percentage of alcohol, how big a glass of wine she used....etc.

I remember that tiredblondy. I did too, I grew up with one until I was 14 and she drank herself to death.

But that's beside the point, the point is can we be sure that she is an alcoholic? If not, should we be calling her one?

No offense taken :). Just not sure she is one from what I've seen, calling someone an alcoholic is pretty serious if they aren't. Just trying to stay objective on as much as I can and Deborah is making it very difficult today. Very.

:) JMHO

:blowkiss: Thanks.

I just had a thought but I'll have to go to another thread. What if the cell phones where in the neighbors house all along? That would explain the ping being in that area.

That may be true, but I was just stating that needing these drugs is not anything to make the person look bad in any way. Depression and anxiety are both diseases. Besides, you don't get any type of "high" from taking this medication. It is just the way it makes alcohol metabolize in your system that is harmful.

Whole heartedly agree with your first statements.
MOO - However you can get "high" from anti-anxiety meds + they are very popular on the "streets" in some areas. Many young people are abusing Xanax + other meds, it's a real problem in this area. Take them as prescribed = no high. Take a handful or two, they have a rather different result.

A close friend of mine takes SSRI meds daily, long term + said they aren't supposed to drink AT ALL, later in the day or otherwise, counter-effective, increases intoxication to the extreme + brings on super hangover / vomiting. Same friend used to take tricyclic ? (anti-depressant) + couldn't have a drink at any time of day or would get extremely ill after super intoxication for the amount of alcohol consumed. It irritates me how many docs hand out anti-depressants + anti-anxiety meds like candy + never counsel the patients on how alcohol is a big no no for various reasons. This friend found out the hard way + finally confirmed through pharmacy why. Just one example, but I've heard this from several others as well. May not effect everyone the same way, but I don't know anyone who can take these kind of meds + drink too, it's one or the other. JMO of course.

I don't know, I could see her NOT being drunk but using "I was drunk" as a defense. I just don't get the vibes that this woman has been honest. The way she constantly looks to the left when telling her story, the attitude, the me-me-me victim-playing... sorry, but... something's rotten in the state of Denmark. JMO.

I think that if my only phones were shut off for non payment I would be using the wine money to help get them back on again.

I am having a real issue with the cell phone's now.

First Deborah claimed that 2 of the phones worked and one was non working. She had gotten a phone from her father in law to replace the non working phone and she was programming them which is why she left them on the kitchen counter.

Now she states that they didn't even have any phone service on these phones so they couldn't make outgoing calls, therefore LE is lying to her.

ok, so why get a phone from the father in law and program the numbers into that phone if you don't have any service to use them? I mean, why even bother with it until you get new service established?

Makes no sense at all.

Hours after saying this was news to the cops. : (

From what I understood from the interview and I have watched it all, the part that the cops didn't know was that she never checked on her child after she put her to bed at 6:30 or that she had blacked out. Supposedly the last time she saw her child alive was at 10 when she went to bed. Now she is retracting that. jmo

Or the Pinellas 12...maybe she can get her case moved to their area...:banghead:

I wonder how she remembers?

She remembers all kinds of things...leaving the window open, being on the computer, turning off the all the lights before going to bed, bonding time in bed with son, etc. etc.

Blacked out? BAH-LONEY!

Every day this case takes a bad new turn....I am ready to see an end

What if the cell phones aren't related to Lisa at all? What if they really were stolen earlier in the evening by someone that just saw an opportunity to make a couple bucks off the drunk lady? And then later that night, an intruder comes in, or Lisa dies after an accident, or whatever?

What is in dispute, in my opinion, is whether drinking this with a neighbor woman makes her an unfit mother.

So then you have to go back to how much exactly IS this?

I certainly did that occasionally when I had little kids. A couple girlfriends would come over for the evening if my husband was out of town, with their kids, and we'd fix snacks and the kids would play and we'd drink wine.

I don't think 5 glasses, over 3 hours, is extreme or unfit.

That was fast. Did you get that crock-pot on???

Okay, we have a half hour now to calm down and have 5 or 10 glasses of wine between the Fox interview, and the upcoming press conference with the parents.
