With the amount of alcohol sales in the US, I doubt that parents drinking at home while kids sleep is really as rare as many think.

I think she admits to being "drunk" in order to show how she could have slept through whatever happened, even though I am not convinced either way as to what that might be...also to show how "honest" she is.

Now that she's admitted she lied previously, I'm not going to believe anything she says because it is just self-serving excuses by someone who blames everyone else.

Quick summary of today's events for those just getting home from work:

DB admits to being drunk the night Lisa went missing. Was also taking prescription meds. Changes the time she last saw Lisa to 6:40 pm. LE showed her burnt clothing and cell phone ping sheet. Doesn't want the 2 boys re-interviewed because it's too upsetting to them (eyeroll), but the children did hear something according to DB. JI and DB hire Joe Tacopino to represent them. DS is going back to NY, for how long, we don't know. Searches conducted today at the relatives home where the Irwin's are staying, the house on N Lister, and a creek bed off of N Jackson. Nothing found that we know of.

Thanks so much, MtnKat! I've been hopping back and forth between threads and kinda got lost. As a matter of fact, I was just getting ready to start a thread called "Have I got this straight?" :D

I was reading about a search at a neighbor's house - was this the lady that was drinking with Debbie? Also a lady that was crying on the front porch until someone came to get her? Same lady?

A black bag removed from a house, but LE asked for it to not be filmed... same lady?

I've tried to get back to where I read these things, but I think I'm too brain-dead from work to find it. :(

Really appreciate the concise update, though!!

Kids weren't always asleep. DB said the older children were awake and watching a movie.

I think she admits being drunk because she was drunk and she's hoping Tacopina can rehabilitate her image.

Well, DB can try to use the " I was drunk, so I didn't hear the intruder" excuse. But, the oldest son would have most likely heard an intruder or crying sick baby ---and would have made sure his Mom was informed. I would like to know if the kids heard the baby crying at any time during the night? When did they last see Baby Lisa? Did they see their Mom drunk that night, or prior to that night. What about Dads drinking pattern?

Just saw one of DB interviews. She does often gaze to right or close eyes with her replies. Very different attitude/composure than prior interviews. Not what I was expecting. And JI keeps glancing at her out of the corner of his eye. Concerning......

And oddly enough, IMO anyway, she does not want to bring it up to the boys.

Anyone know if child welfare opened a case? Considering her admissions during these interviews, they should. I'm asking because they may have the power to force her to comply with drug/alcohol testing. I'm concerned for the boys (btw, they would be interviewed). It's another way for LE to garner more info without an arrest.

Sometimes I wonder if she is drinking during the interviews. She has a cocky, arrogant attitude. It's like she is saying, "Yeah, I was drunk so what" MOO

At first she was sweeter and a more sympathetic character. Now, she is not too likeable. MOO

ETA, oh no, please tell me DB wasn't drunk and taking anti-anx meds at the same time?!

Ok, so the prescription meds...were at the same time as drinking? (please say no! :pullhair:) Do we know what meds they were (or what general class of drugs)?

She has no memory of checking on her daughter after 6:30 PM per FOX.

So she is going to use being drunk as her excuse for all the inconsistencies? Perfect. What about JI? He's told at least three different stories about what happened when he got home.

Joe Tacapino = Guilty IMO

VERY defensive. And her defiant reply about not seeing a problem with her having "adult time", even though she was drunk while charged with the wellbeing of 3 small children, one of whom "disappears" on her watch? She STILL doesn't see a problem with that? Even now?!

I'd say that's a drinking "problem". Either that or a reality problem. JMO

DB said that she took medication for anxiety every day (can't recall if she said in the morning). She also made it known that the medication "wasn't a narcotic". WTF!!

So, the neighbor drinking with DB says the house lights went out after she left. If that is the case, why were all lights on when JI arrived home at 3:30 am? I suspect DB was up late - hiding baby and staging the scene. Not passed out drunk. JI arrived home earlier than expected. DB had to jump into bed and pretend sleeping........

The homes are all close togather. One of the neighbors should have noticed if lights on or off before they went to bed. And they would have heard any visitor driving a car, partying, shouting, noise around yard, dog barking, telphones ringing, and baby crying.

Sorry to say she was taking anti-anxiety meds too.

Well, technically that's true. Anti-anxiety meds are sedatives, not narcotics.

They are not all sedatives, some are SSRI, the same medications used to treat depression.

As much as I feel sad to say this... I think I have do be done with this... I will say a last prayer for dear little Lisa... but, I just can't ride this roller coaster anymore. I know she is gone.. and her parents are making me sick!
