Perhaps a local near Cork can keep an eye on this finding and add any updates? I came across it while reading a link to another thread and wanted to post it in case it's related to a known missing person.

A possible human skull was found and forensic examination will take place.

Gardaí will be able to use facial images and other biometric technologies to investigate serious criminal offences and missing persons cases under new legislation published today.
