Louth man Gerard Cruise charged with murder of child in January

Gerard Cruise was remanded in custody
''Det Sgt Cooney applied to have Cruise remanded in custody to Cloverhill District Court next Friday to allow for the preparation of the book of evidence.

Judge Eirinn McKiernan remanded him in custody to appear by video link before Drogheda District Court on the same date instead.

Cruise’s solicitor Eleanor Kelly asked for reporting restrictions to be applied to the case and Judge McKiernan replied that everyone present was aware of the recent Court of Appeal ruling.

Gardai are braced for the return of a "triumphant" Price who is said to be "delighted" that a video of him celebrating Lawlor's death went viral on YouTube.

Price left Ireland after the murder of the grisly murder of Keane Mulready-Woods (17) in January."

Gangster Cornelius Price planning return to Ireland after murder of rival Robbie Lawlor on Belfast street

"In a video filmed on Saturday, the 38-year-old says: "Cheers to Robbie Lawlor, rest in peace. He's not even meant to rest in peace but fair play to you. There you go boy."

Youtube video:
Is there a thread on the Robbie Lawlor case? He was killed 5 years ago. Two were charged in Dec 2020. But the case has still not made it to trial yet. Why is it taking so long?

The savage murder of Keane Mulready-Woods in 2020 shocked Ireland and shook the nation to its core. The teen, caught up in a drug feud in the town of Drogheda, was lured to a house on January 12 where he was tortured and beheaded. His limbs were thrown from a car in a sports bag onto a footpath in the town of Moatview. His head, hands and feet were then found in a burnt out car in Dublin days later. Keane’s killing sparked a series of revenge attacks – culminating in the murder of prime suspect Robbie Lawlor, who was gunned down as he collected a drug debt.

Before he went missing, Keane called his mum, telling her he’d be home late and asking her to leave money out for a taxi. Keane, who was recruited as a drugs runner for a local gang, was under a curfew to be home before dark and had been obeying the rules, the Irish Independent reported.''

'In a victim impact statement read out on behalf of Keane’s heartbroken mum Elizabeth, she said: “No one could imagine the darkness and sadistic evil in our country I can hear him calling ‘Mam, Mam’ - and the haunting nightmares live forever with us.'
