Gardaí concerned for man missing in Dublin for five weeks

34-year-old Mark McCabe was last seen on January 17 but was only reported missing in recent days.

Mr McCabe is from the Coolock area and often visits the Dublin city centre.

Gardai and the family of a 34-year-old north Dublin criminal have grave concerns for his safety, with fears he may have been targeted by gangsters. [. . .]
McCabe has multiple previous convictions to his name.
He has also served several prison sentences, including for threatening to kill two female video store staff in Donaghmede when he was 19 in 2004. [. . .]
He pleaded guilty to four counts of possession of drugs and two counts of possession with intent for sale or supply.
