Ireland - Tina Satchwell, 45, Youghal, Co. Cork, 20 March 2017 *arrest*

Ruby's cowering behaviour suggests imo that she felt the emotion of anger from Richard. Dogs don't have logical thinking they sense . Hence the licking behaviour of a dog if we are upset they sense hurt .

I firmly believe rs killed tina in anger because she refused him sex . It was her mums anniversary and she was probably feeling low and didn't give into his advances that prehaps in the past she did . Imo rs switched roles and tina wasn't lying on top of him he was lying on top of her in bed and he pressed the belt of the robe into her neck until she stopped breathing hence no broken hyoid as tina wasnt lying on a hard surface or he suffocated her with a pillow

If we look at all the things Richard says I firmly believe the things he states tina did to him , and any injuries he states tina caused him such as bite marks and scratches sound to me very like tina having to defend her self on numerous occasions from most likely martial rape . I think he is telling a story of his inflicted abuse on her but switching roles

Paul Healy appears to have deleted this post, not sure why, preserving it here for now anyway:

I find this most unusual, my ex husband would never have wanted to come to a GP appt with me. Would you think it a sign of possible coercive control? Not sure what to make of it.

Pressed multiple times on whether the glass had been repaired, the accused reiterated that he had not and said to the garda: “Maybe you have cotton wool in your ears.”

The jury was shown a photograph of the Satchwells’ bathroom before he replaced the bath with a secondhand jacuzzi bath, and took out the standalone shower to replace it with a press.

The court was also read a statement from a friend of the Satchwells, Sarah Dobson, who said she met the accused at a car boot sale in May 2017 and observed he was selling his wife’s clothing.

She said that Mr Satchwell told her that his wife had been ill in hospital and was staying with her sister in England, adding that he needed to raise up to 100,000 euro to fix a bacteria on the walls which had made his wife sick.

Wow Border Telegraph, that's from the area I grew up long before I became honorary Irish!

This seems very small to me...

He said the glass fragments were large, and between 2-5mm in size.

(ETA)

Paul Healy's updates are very poor when you see what others are reporting. I did wonder why they couldn't be examined.

The court heard Forensic Science Ireland was not in a position to examine a dressing gown and cord recovered from the remains as they were too damp, mouldy and brittle.

These always make me anxious at this stage of a trial:

IMO it's a sure sign of coercive control. Couples might go together if someone was needed to take notes or make sure nothing was forgotten. IMO Tina was accompanied almost every time to make sure she couldn't ask for help. JMO

And would you think that she would also go to his appointments to make it look normal that they did everything together? The manipulation of all around is unreal if so.

I think RS would insist on her accompanying him to make it look like they did everything together. Tina seemed to have very little alone time IMO.

This behaviour is a major red flag of an abusive relationship it ensures the victim cannot get help . Imo if this was the case for 18 years doctor in this situation should request to see a patient alone .

To me it's the equivalent of what is known today as love bombing

Agreed, sounds like she couldn't even have a bath in peace, from what I read earlier.

In the video, Detective Sergeant David Noonan told him that he would be shown several photographs during the interview. The accused said he would not look at the photographs if they showed Ms Satchwell's body and did not want to be "put in that situation", adding: "I want to remember Tina the way she was, not the way I made her."

The witness evidence today is shambolic and pitiful. I'll say no more.

In my view , the witnesses today are being brought in by the prosecution to discredit RS claim that tina was violent and abusive toward him throughout their relationship. Kind of character references for tina

I don't understand why the jury would need to know that the couple held medical cards or what it's got to do with the case tbh so I can see where your coming from

I will be watching to see if her family or his are called to the stand .

Imo he is going down for life but I don't think anyone will know the truth . The detectives and everyone else can hypothesis to the truth but I think RS is enjoying the game of guessing. He thinks he is so intelligent and his responses to detectives in interviews are pathetic ,such as I think you have cotton wool in your ears and other smart arsed replies .

I did see his defence bringing up social media and insinuating garda allowed a pap walk before he was charged . So I'm going to be extremely careful what I say from now on , don't want him escaping justice if his lawyers claim trail by media or the likes

“I have one man, one man only,” Tina Satchwell told a friend at a car boot sale in Cork in the hours before she was allegedly murdered by her husband.

“Tina [Satchwell] said she’d never touch another man,” Mr Keoghan told the Circuit Criminal Court about her comments that day.

“Tina was a street angel, house devil,” Mr Satchwell told Mr Keoghan at this car boot sale, he said.

“Richard Satchwell told me Tina used to beat him. That after the last car boot sale that I met him at, she hit him across the face that day,” he said in a Garda statement read to the court by defence barrister Brendan Grehan SC.

“She wouldn’t harm a child, she was a lovely person,” Mr Keoghan told the court.

I felt like the order of witnesses lacked an obvious cohesive order, the GP didn't bring medical notes and will be recalled, the garda who found the chisel was all "wasn't me" type thing.

It could also be that Paul Healy seems to skip details others' don't, I'll see what Nicola Talentless has to say about it on Crime World tonight.

I don't know what the fuss is about the "perp walk" the man had perp walked himself all over the media for years, everyone and their dog knows what he looks like!
