Is the criminal investigation of LA a red herring?

I so hope you're wrong, Chilly. I think they have obstructed justice so many times and really need to be charged. If LE doesn't charge them, they are sending a message to everyone out there that they can lie through their dentures and it means nuttin.

I think they have pbstructed the investigation, too. I don't think they will be arrested, though.

Considering the fact that Lee was privy to information from casey before LE arrived, the secrecy in what they said to each other on video, the subtle mumbo jumbo-it would make sense for Lee to be charged with accessory or obstruction in the future. If Caylee had been kidnapped and the truth had been told, there would have been no need for all this secrecy and bizarre behavior. His attorney making a public statement about impending charges is as whacked out as the case itself. This is being labeled a "forensic" case- when it should be called the mother of all "media" cases. Theres an undercurrent about this case that I cant quite name yet.. OJ was at least a celebrity, why has this particular case drawn such attention? Its an interesting thought.

There was no Internet in popular usage, when OJ was arrested. Or, there would have been JUST as much buzz.

Except KC is not legally insane, and LA has not been charged with anything.

If he IS charged, it is likely to be for obstuction of justice.

I wonder if the items they took today from his moving are taking them in that direction further. I really haven't seen where he has obstructed justice so far, but perhaps he messed with her computer or something. I have thought he was pretty upfront with LE in his interviews albeit quite odd with the hilarity he seemed to find in his niece missing/car smelling. I still think Cindy has tried to tamper with witnesses in the case such as the tow truck folks.

So you're suggesting that this whole family, or at least LA and his girlfriend, figured that who cares about Caylee and if she's dead or alive or how she died since the gf is pregnant and they'd get a new baby?

Wow. I don't know what else to say to this except that I disagree profoundly. We have no evidence whatsoever to suggest that LA ever had a cavalier attitude about his niece's life.

Nor do I.

Lee gives me the creeps as well.

I don't6 care for him, either. But, I don't think he's involved, other than the obfuscating that the whole family has done.

No. The criminal investigation of Lee and the A fam is NOT a red herring. I do think another GJ will be convened and all evidence will be sent to them to decide what charges will be filed.

??? are we not supposed to talk about this?

We are not supposed to opine about misappropriation of donated funds, or about incest on the main forums. There are threads in the Parking LOT.

A grand Jury is what I hope for as well. I do not want them to get so much as a parking ticket if they do not deserve it. I do want them charged for any laws that they broke. I do not want politics, sympathy, bad hair days, etc. involved. Just the law. I do not see them getting charged until after their testimony, if their testimony is needed and not too tarnished.

I reckon some involved would gladly change places with a polecat

I agree,

The laughter during the LE interview might be tension, BTW. A lot of people laugh when they are uncomfortable.

Not where Lee is concerned when and where he laughs. That was not discomfort I heard in that laughter at all. It was sinister and lack of caring, imo. I thought so from the minute I heard it. It was totally inappropriate.

We'll see...I think that LE knows that if KC told any of the family members anything, it's probably Lee...My guess is that out of the three A's, Lee is probably the one they feel would be the most credible in front of a jury...A lot of the things CA and GA have said and done might lead the jury to question their credibility but Lee has been staying below the radar...Maybe they are electing to file the obstruction charge against him to blunt his credibility with the jury. If so, then there's probably not a lot of key testimony they expect Lee to be able to provide to bolster their case...They have to be kind of careful to...although many here would like to see OJ charges for all the A's, the defense can try to spin that at trial as LE having something of a vendetta against this family...

They probably won't be called voluntarily, they will be subpoenaed. If they are subpoenaed they can't take the fifth during a felony case (statute posted yesterday). If they incriminate themselves their words cannot be used against them in building a case, but they can't take the 5th, they would be compelled to answer honestly or be guilty of perjury or held in contempt.

just my random thought...I don't get the whole "right to not incriminate oneself" law. I just don't. it's stupid. if you violated the law, you should have to tell the TRUTH even if it means admitting you violated the law, and if you did violate the law, well you should be charged. can any legal eagles expand on the basis for the "right to not to self-incriminate" thing?

everyone here keeps referring to "OJ"...my mind keeps saying, was there some legal precedence created from the OJ Simpson trial that applies here? D'OH!

Go down in the comments to find the person that shared the info, you have to go to that person's profile and to view pics once they are up.The user Justice4Caylee is the one who actually has the pictures pending. Just thought I would throw that in. Stephademic was just quoting "Justice4Caylee"

Just stopped in for one second to tell you guys to watch the pictures on my account *(by clicking the camera next to my name)
I have pictures pending of Caylee's memorial site taken today (about 2-3 hours ago)
And some of a picture that I found in Lee's garbage. Apparently Uncle Lee decided to move out of his rental house 3 streets from his parents (Anthony;s house) and he left a LOT of stuff on the roadside to look at. Some of the stuff was turned over to LE today.
Notice this strange picture though.. We took it and then put it in front of the Anthony's house on Hopesprings, it was removed within 20 minutes.

Only one picture now. I agree with some maybe Lee wanted things clean so he could get his deposit back. But still find the one picture disturbing and the fact that he didn't donate the items that were said to be thrown out. LE has taken items from what was said, not sure what to think right now.

By the way, I do crossword puzzles constantly when I am not on here. I think a puzzle is like a case. You work it one word or clue at a time until you finish it no matter how long it takes. (I work them in ink and never quit until they are completed.) I take the same approach to our UIDs, missing cases, and others here. There is a running joke about if someone were to take in our computers for analysis and the horrors they would find we have researched in various cases! We are not normal people. LOL

You won't hear me refer to that "other" case in connection to this one.
