I am in South Georgia, and I have not seen this case but twice on our local news..Once when she was reported missing, and again when they found the decomposition in the car.
I did email our local newstation, and was given the reply that without the amber alert that they usually do not run these stories.
I have however, seen this story in our local newspaper at least once a week.
But then again, in all honesty, the presidential race right now is taking over all news outlets, however our local news doesn't spend their entire airwaves on the election unless its a hometown election. My honest opinion is that our local news is doing nothing different than they did before this happened.
Also, the only way I am finding that a soilder out of Texas has died in Iraq is either NG or through the major news stations, it is also not reported on local news.
