Israel Keyes: General Discussion

Hi all , I haven’t read the whole thread - but do wonder if Keyes could be responsible for the disappearance and what I suspect is murder of Tina Jean Denman in Lakewood .

The dates would line up with when he was in the area - Tina has never been found . Did he have a known ‘stash ‘. Location in Lakewood ? Tina is someone I’ve been researching and there’s so little on her disappearance.

It’s all about what age he would consider it being a child. I wouldn’t put anything past him.

”Young girls in their swimsuits” was what he said about who came to Deschutes river, so I’m guessing girls that had entered puberty, and didn’t look like children were not children in his eyes.

I think Keyes was in Egypt from February-June in 2000. It was either in 2000 or 2001, and I’m pretty sure it was 2000 since his kid was born in October 2001.

1. i believe there were references to New York victims, so more than just Debra Feldman (allegedly/supposedly)

2. Corrie worked at a library, and we know Keyes frequented libraries a lot

3. Her car was located abandoned a few days after her disappearance, which is suspected to be something Keyes did with victims' cars

4. Jamestown, NY isn't close to places in NY we know Keyes was familiar with to some degree (Tupper Lake, Albany), but that really doesn't mean anything since we know he drove long distances.

5. he had a "kill kit" in Parishville, NY

i know it's not a ton to go on, but of course that's the nature with all of our speculations with possible victims

More than likely it was the husband in this case, seeing as he kidnapped, raped and threatened to kill his next wife.

It’s all about what age he would consider it being a child. I wouldn’t put anything past him.

Also, whether she looked fifteen, or older.

I did see that, but I also think that would’ve been a perfect cover for Keyes. I really get the feeling that he stalked and studied his victims far more than he let on. I don’t think it was as random as just picking someone out and killing them hours later, at least not always. It’s not outside the realm of possibility for me that he gathered info on Corrie’s life and discovered the unhinged ex husband. That would logically be where police would focus their attention.

I just finished the book Murderland: Crime and Bloodlust in the Time of Serial Killers and while the majority of the book is about Ted Bundy, Gary Ridgeway, and Richard Ramirez, she touches on other killers and the book ends with a few pages on Israel.

One thing she mentioned is that Israel "liked doubles." She did not elaborate and I'm trying to figure out exactly what this means as i don't think i've ever heard that about him before. Doubles as in couples or pairs? Doubles as in separate victims who were very similar in some way (looks and/or lifestyle)?

i would assume it's the former, but it strikes me as an odd way of phrasing that. If it was couples, it would be more logical to me to just use that word (and if not romantic couple say something like "pairs of victims"). Doubles is kind of throwing me...

are there any possible couple Keyes victims? the only one i've seen tossed around is Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone.
