Israeli official: 15 survivors forcibly hospitalized since October 7

Fifteen October 7 massacre survivors were forcibly hospitalized due to their unstable mental condition since the beginning of Operation Swords of Iron, Justice Ministry official attorney Daniel Raz told the Knesset's Health Committee on Monday.

Those forcibly hospitalized consisted of partygoers who survived the Re'im music festival massacre. Others, Raz said, are residents of Gaza border communities who survived a mass infiltration of Hamas terrorists into their towns and homes.

Conquering the underground of the Shifa Hospital is something that has to be done. It will prevent Hamas from functioning, at least on this part and will probably end the conquest of the northern part of the Gaza Strip'

These are the Holocaust survivors who relived some of their worst nightmares when Hamas terrorists infiltrated their communities and murdered their family members and loved ones.Don’t look away.

Arab ZAKA worker: ‘I had no idea where to start’; Oct. 7 massacre an affront to Islam

Jamal Waraqi describes shock over scenes in southern communities, says he keeps thinking about things he may have missed; urges all religious groups ‘to do our part for the country’

An Arab Muslim Israeli volunteer for the ZAKA rescue service on Monday said he thought he had “seen it all” before Hamas terrorists rampaged through southern communities on October 7.

However, when he arrived at the scene of a brutal massacre in the city of Sderot, it was “the first time I got to a scene… and had no idea where to start,” Jamal Waraqi told Channel 12 news in an interview.

Waraqi said he did not fully comprehend the scope of the disaster until he saw a man lying next to a motorbike at the entrance to the southern city

I'd have a hard time having 100 workers than don't support the decision of a leader POTUS or a top CEO.

How much dissension and divide will this cause in the State Dept. I'm appalled.

What's happening at key hospitals in northern Gaza?

As we've been reporting, there has been fighting around several hospitals in the north of Gaza. Here are the key things we know about the main ones:

Al-Shifa

The World Health Organization (WHO) says Al-Shifa hospital - the Gaza Strip's largest - "is not functioning as a hospital anymore". It says there is "constant gunfire and bombings in the area" around it in Gaza City.

According to hospital staff, three babies are reported to have died, out of 39 that could no longer be given intensive care treatment because of fuel shortages.

Israel has repeatedly denied accusations its forces have attacked the hospital, but has acknowledged clashes with Hamas fighters in the area. It says Hamas has a command centre under the hospital - which the hospital and Hamas both deny.

Al-Quds

On Sunday, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said Al-Quds hospital had run out of fuel and was no longer operational.

On Monday, the PCRS said there was "heavy gunfire" and "bombardment" in the area and Israeli tanks and military were stationed near the hospital "from all directions". It said medical staff and patients were trapped without food, water or electricity and a convoy accompanied by the Red Cross to evacuate them halted because of dangerous conditions en route.

Rantisi and Al-Nasr

The Rantisi Specialised Hospital for Children and the adjacent Al-Nasr facility in the north of Gaza City were evacuated on Friday save for a handful of patients and staff. Rantisi had Gaza's only paediatric cancer ward.

An Israeli tank has been filmed operating outside the Rantisi hospital.

Mohammed Zaqout, the director of hospitals in Gaza, said yesterday the evacuations "left dozens of sick children on the streets without any medical care" and the fate of five children left in intensive care was unknown. On Saturday, Israel accused a Hamas commander of preventing about 1,000 people from leaving the hospital before it was evacuated.

On Friday, an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman said Israel did not fire on hospitals - but would "do what we need to" if Hamas fired from hospital grounds.

Nice visual map and overall description of hospitals.

Today in Rafah, during the hours of 10:00-14:00, the IDF put in place a local tactical pause for Gazan civilians to evacuate. Since Nov. 8, these tactical pauses have been upheld to allow civilians to evacuate southward. We continue to reiterate to all those involved; we are at war with Hamas, not the people of Gaza.

IDF says troops killed 21 terror operatives who opened fire from Gaza City hospital

The Israel Defense Forces says troops killed members of a terror cell that opened fire at Israeli forces from Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City.

According to the IDF, the cell had opened fire at troops of the 188th Armored Brigade with light arms and RPGs, while being “embedded within a group of civilians at the entrance of the hospital.”

The IDF says troops, with air support, returned fire at the Hamas operatives, killing 21 of them. No troops were hurt but one tank was damaged by an RPG, the IDF says.

Amid the exchange of fire, the IDF says civilians were seen leaving the hospital, and other operatives came out of adjacent buildings and hid among them to attack the Israeli forces.

After firing RPGs at troops, the IDF says the operatives fled back into the hospital.

“This incident is another example of Hamas’s continued abuse of civilian structures, including hospitals, to carry out attacks,” the IDF adds in a statement.

The military releases footage of the battle that appears to show RPG-wielding terrorists running into the hospital.

IDF scuba forces find, destroy weapons left on seabed by Hamas divers trying to infiltrate

The Israel Defense Forces releases footage of the Navy’s underwater missions unit — known by its Hebrew acronym YALTAM — recovering weapons left behind by Hamas terrorists in the sea from the October 7 onslaught and other attacks since.

During the October 7 attacks, members of Hamas’s naval forces tried to infiltrate into Israel via the sea. Navy forces managed to kill dozens of them, largely foiling the seaborne attack. There have been other attempts by the terror group to send divers to infiltrate into Israel in recent weeks.

YALTAM scuba forces scanned the seabed in recent days, finding firearms, explosive devices, ammunition and rubber dinghies that were sunk by Navy fire.

The weapons were brought to the coast, where they were destroyed by the Combat Engineering Corps’ elite Yahalom unit, the IDF says.

Almost 80,000 employees.

If I read this correctly.

Dang, as a former manager, I'd question their ability to perform assigned job task and security. This can't be good, especially during a crisis. Hope no one decides to help the other side. A nightmare!!!!

I mean, it is a real super job, great benefits, perks, career booster. It takes months and extensive background, interviews, security checks/clearance. Only the cream of the crop.

We never know how certain words might influence others.

And what might make the difference.

Criticizing is not constructive :(
Staying silent also.

JMO
You are right. I have been guilty of being critical of many countries and talking heads making comments. I think it's just extremely frustrating to see terrorism is just at the heart of this and then to see how many countries and public officials in positions of power just do not openly condemn it and instead are talking about peace and cease fires and so on. We know HAMAS is not interested in peace so what is really being said is if Israel would just stop and allow HAMAS to have it's way, then this would stop. But it wouldn't stop. Terrorists do not want peace, they want complete destruction and to take over the world.

You are right though we never know what might influence HAMAS to just let the hostages go and to do something else. I know many if not most people mean well and thinking of it from that point of view, I hope one of these comments coming from the Pope or another religious leader or head of state just is the one that makes some headway in getting all 240+ hostages released and getting HAMAS to surrender.

All of my comments come from a place of support for Israel AND for Palestinians. Nobody benefits with HAMAS in charge and most definitely not the people living in GAZA. I might overly support Israel because I OVERLY condemn terrorism and the evil that comes from it. It breeds like nothing else and we are seeing that around the world. My support for Israel doing what it needs to do to get the hostages back is not canceling out support for Palestinians and for finding ways to minimize the innocent civilians in the way.

Peace is always the goal. Just like in a marriage, if one party does not want to compromise or to create a joint unit, then there will not be unity. I have never known a terrorists organization to come to the table with peace and unity as the goal. Not sure how Israel or any country can compromise with another that just refuses to find any middle ground.

I wouldn't put it past some of these Hamas terrorists to outright kill a civilian or patient and then parade their bodies in front of the press and claim the IDF were responsible.
In fact this may have already happened.

Dr Mohamed Tabasha, head of the paediatric department at al-Shifa hospital, has spoken to Reuters in a telephone interview. He told the news agency:

He told Reuters that the infants are too cold, and the temperature is not stable because of power cuts. In the absence of infection control measures, they are transmitting viruses to each other and they have no immunity, he said.

He said there was no longer any way of sterilising their milk and bottle teats to the required standard, and as a result, some had contracted gastritis and were suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting, which meant an acute risk of dehydration.

Yet, HE refuses to Let the People Go!!!!

♥️

Two planes landed at the Okęcie Military Airport before 3 p.m.

18 Polish citizens evacuated from the Gaza Strip returned on board.

According to the spokesman of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces, everyone would be provided with psychological and medical care.

'All evacuees will be provided with psychological and medical care.
If they need a place to stay until the family arrives, they will also be provided with it',
said Lt. Col. Jacek Goryszewski.

He noted that since the evacuees also included children, a pediatrician was present on site."
