Hamas lashes out at White House for confirming terror group has command post at Gaza hospital

Hamas says the White House’s remarks that the Islamist terror group has a command center at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza was a “green light” to Israel to commit “brutal massacres” targeting medical facilities in the Palestinian territory.

“These statements give a green light to the Israeli occupation to commit further brutal massacres targeting hospitals, with the goal of destroying Gaza’s healthcare system and displacing Palestinians,” the terrorist group says in a statement issued in English.

“The United States bears direct responsibility for enabling Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza,” the group adds.

“The United States bears direct responsibility for enabling Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza,” the group adds.”

I wonder if Hamas is planning anything against the United States, perhaps in coordination with other countries, Iran, etc.

Adding that considering Hamas planned the October 7 attack well in advance, and obviously understands Israel’s strong relationship with the US (al though there was one article posted upstream stating US’ involvement was unanticipated by Hamas which I’m not sure I believe), I think it’s possible Hamas and other anti-US operatives/entities have already been planted in the US, as similar to 9/11. "A network of hiding places and tunnels under the hospital.

'Hamas has been building it for 16 years'.

View attachment 461012

Analysis of Israeli intelligence operational data shows that Hamas began building secret rooms under Al-Shifa Hospital two years after Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip. This means in 2007.

Initially, they focused on drilling subsequent, deeper levels under hospital basements.

These rooms were then connected to a network of tunnels that run under the entire Gaza Strip.

These tunnels are used by terrorists and are not accessible to civilians.

According to 'The New York Times', the rooms under Al-Shifa Hospital are large enough to accommodate several hundred terrorists.

They are equipped with numerous exits -
some of them lead to the hospital,

others to the outside of the building complex.

The underground facilities, which are owned by Hamas, are partly powered by electricity they draw from the hospital."

Of course Israel has known about the tunnels for years....so why did they wait 39 days...and lead with a smoke bomb?

JMO

Israel’s Defense Forces have been preparing for tunnel combat since 2014, when the IDF reportedly tripled its so-called Weasels tunnel combat command unit following Hamas’ ambush on Israeli troops using tunnels underneath the Israel-Gaza border. Former IDF analyst and Bar-Ilan University geography professor Joel Roskin told Forbes last month the IDF’s plan of attack could include targeting and controlling tunnel entrances, blocking those entrances, flooding passageways and pumping smoke to identify openings once areas of the tunnels are controlled.

As the precise and targeted operation in the #AlShifa compound is conducted, it’s important to understand that this is #Hamas modus operandi. For 16 years they have been building their terrorist infrastructure, intentionally using Gaza health facilities as command and control centers, places to hides and after the October 7 attack maybe even hiding hostages. The terror tunnel network is without a doubt the most expensive construction project ever conducted in Gaza, at the expense of the people, not for the people.

White House: 'We don’t want to see a firefight in a hospital'

The White House has said it does not want to see a firefight in a hospital, Reuters has reported, with the official speaking after the Israeli military said it was carrying out an operation against Hamas inside the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza.

A spokesperson for the White House National Security Council, who did not wish to be named, said: “We do not support striking a hospital from the air and we don’t want to see a firefight in a hospital where innocent people, helpless people, sick people trying to get medical care they deserve are caught in the crossfire.

“Hospitals and patients must be protected.”

On Monday, Biden said that hospitals there “must be protected”. “My hope and expectation is that there will be less intrusive action relative to hospitals,” Biden told reporters.

I saw in the above BBC video referenced re: solar panels powering the tunnels that IDF sends robots into the tunnels- I wonder how successful this has been as far as intelligence gathering, as specifically related to the location of the hostages, considering the tunnel network is so vast.

Sounds serious and direct :)

Wouldn’t it be amazing if they recovered the hostages from under the hospital during this specific operation? We saw in the previous videos (end of last thread) evidence of a hostage being held at one time beneath another hospital. Maybe they’re there?

It would be, but Hamas had several days to move everything. The tunnels go all the way to Egypt.

IMO
Israel is doing what it MUST do, and what Hamas KNEW Israel would have to do, but Hamas underestimated Israel’s courage, determination, ability and also Israel’s compassion.

The IDF could have wiped out that hospital long ago if Israel hadn’t first spent a month giving warnings to civilians to move to safety, and if the IDF did not exercise even more restraint than international law permits when a hospital is partly a front for terrorist headquarters.

I’m praying for the safety of the IDF, as well as of all people who are eager to see Hamas flushed away into Hell.

And of course for the hostages to be brought back safely. If any are still alive.

My opinion.

Why would the "spokesman" saying this not want to be named? Weird.

Reading Israeli updates. Firefights in hallways in hospital.
Now unless Israelis are shooting each other, doesn't that mean Hamas is indeed in that hospital?? js

I'm hoping that the IDF collapsed the escape routes. And/or the terrorists leave the hostages behind when they try to escape through the tunnels.

Seriously. Anyone still denying…is baffling.
