We Israelis are putting our lives on the line to destroy Hamas and bring back the hostages because we have no choice.

Today President @Isaac_Herzog and the First Lady visited their soldier son on the Gaza border.

We have skin in the game.
hamas is just an alibi to destroy an entire nation. there is no way the 15,000 dead are all hamas...

i don't know why europe and the usa are waiting with sanctions against israel? will anyone help the helpless people in the gaza? or are we waiting for complete extermination? 21st century and we are just watching that carnage...

Egypt: We’re near a deal between Israel and Hamas to extend truce by two more days

A top aid to Egyptian President Diaa Rashwan announces that Cairo and Doha are very close to securing a two-day extension to the ongoing truce between Israel and Hamas.

The truce extension would see 10 Israeli hostages and 30 Palestinian prisoners released both tomorrow and Wednesday, Diaa Rashwan says, adding that 11 Israeli hostages will also be released later today.

Efforts to extend truce by 2 days 'close' to an agreement, Egypt says

An agreement that would see the temporary truce between Hamas and Israel extended is "close," Diaa Rashwan, head of the Egyptian State Information Service, said in a statement.

6 out of the 9 children who came home to last night, after being held hostage by the terrorists of Hamas for 50 days, no longer have a mom or a dad. Or both. Their parents were brutally murdered on October 7.

#Hamas expresses interest in extending truce with Israel'Sinwar is negotiating for his own survival, Hamas' survival. The more Israel is adamant about ending Hamas, the better to make Hamas come up with a more comfortable deal for Israel,' says Prof. Uzi Rabi

Roni Krivoi’s siblings meet with Russian official, thanking Moscow for securing brother’s release

The brother and sister of Roni Krivoi, who was released yesterday by Hamas, meet with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov to thank him for helping with Roni’s release.

Bogdanov says Krivoi was released as a gesture to Russia by Hamas following the Kremlin’s request soon after the October 7 atrocities that the terror group work to release as many as eight hostages with Russian citizenship, and says he hopes more will be released going forward.

[...]

“We are grateful for all the work of the Russian Federation. For continuing it and helping to return all the other hostages. We see the results,” says Igor Krivoi, during his meeting with Bogdanov today, according to a press release put out by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“Let’s hope so,” Bogdanov replies, and says that nothing had been given to Hamas in return for Krivoi’s release.

More than 3,600 Palestinian children were killed in just 3 weeks of war in their country...

It is illogical to suppose unarmed civilians have the capability to rise up against an armed and trained army to remove it from power.

For Israel to do the job for them has so far resulted only in death and devastation for them in their thousands and the destabilisation of the world.

The only solution is negotiation.

My opinion
It's illogical to suppose that the Palestinian people can't be armed and with superior numbers overthrow the terrorists.

And what if the parents or other family members try to convince the terrorists to lay down their arms and stop killing innocent Israelis? Would at least some of them do it?

IMO, the hatred and evil runs too deep. I have some serious doubts.

You are probably right.

Looks like it's going to be up to the IDF to eliminate Hamas. Too bad the Palestinian people can't seem to overthrow them.
