"Does she know she is a widow? Does she know her daughter was murdered?"

These are the horrific questions that the families of hostages are forced to grapple with when their loved ones come home from captivity.

Israeli and Thai foreign ministers Eli Cohen and Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara visit the freed Thai workers at Shamir Medical center in Israel. (Gideon Sharon/Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

Foreign Minister Eli Cohen and Thailand’s Foreign Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara visit the 17 Thai workers who have been released from captivity in Gaza after they were taken hostage by Hamas during its brutal October 7 assault on Israel.

Cohen says the laborers had received “the most dedicated treatment” and that they would be entitled to the same welfare benefits as all other Israeli hostages.

“Israel is committed to bringing back all the hostages, Israelis and foreigners alike,” says Cohen during the visit to Shamir Medical Center in central Israel. He describes Israeli-Thai relations as “true friendship.”

“I promised my friend, the foreign minister of Thailand, that we will help rehabilitate everyone who has been physically or mentally harmed. Helping the Thai foreign workers, who for some farmers are family, is not a gesture on our part; we consider it our duty,” he adds.

This is the most important post i ever made. Yesterday, the Knesset held a session on Hamas' violence against women. This Zaka volunteer gave the most harrowing testimony I heard, so I sat down and translated it. my only ask - watch this video, share it, and remember - $400.

Kids released from Gaza being closely watched for renourishment issues

Prof. Ronit Lubetzky, head of the pediatric department at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center’s Dana-Dwek Children’s Hospital, reports that the nine children and two mothers released from Hamas captivity who arrived last night are in stable medical condition.

The main physical issues the hospital’s team is treating the children for are orthopedic and nutritional. Without naming it directly, Lubetzky refers to Refeeding Syndrome, in which an undernourished person can become critically ill if given too much food and drink too quickly during their recovery.

“We are monitoring very closely what they are taking in. I can share that when one of the girls arrived and we asked her how she was feeling, she said she wanted to eat an empanada. She did have a little bit of an empanada for brunch today, and she said it was pretty good,” Lubetzky says.

“Before Erez and Sahar Calderon arrived, their mother Hadas said she had a feeling her kids would ask for yogurt with granola and grapes. Sure enough, that is what they asked for at 5 a.m.,” she adds.

In addition to ongoing physiological tests and monitoring, the children and families are undergoing psychosocial evaluations. Coordination for the former hostages’ ongoing care with healthcare professionals in the community has begun, and they will be discharged from the hospital when they are ready.

"Israeli family of ten-month-old hostage Kfir Bibas fear baby is being held as

a 'trophy'

as he is left off latest list of captives to be freed -

after Hamas

'traded him with other terrorists'

1701183194742.png

Ofri, the sister of Kfir's father Yarden whose whereabouts are unknown, said:

'We're talking to you today because tomorrow is the last day of the current ceasefire'.
:(
'At the moment they are the youngest hostages still remaining in Hamas captivity'.

'We don't know where they've been held.
We're really worried about the 10-month-old baby with formula as the main diet'.

She described not knowing what was happening as 'psychological torture' and added:
'It's working really well because the last four days have been a big nightmare.

'I hope they don't hold them as a trophy,'
she concluded."

Are these truly the values of Islam? To hold hostage the baby Kfir Bivas for 53 days?I see how Hamas is pretending to be humane. After burning families, raping girls, beheading parents, we won’t let you fool anybody

(Wasn’t there a video of a young boy tormented on 10/7 in Gaza?)

Horrifying: The aunt of 12-year-old Eitan Yahalomi, who was held captive by Hamas for 53 days, said that he was beaten by Gazan residents, and Hamas terrorists forced him to watch videos of the horrors of the October 7 massacre. This is what happened to a 12 year old boy. These are the monsters we are up against.

''JTA — Nearly 50 days after Hamas’s brutal massacres in Israel left some 1,200 dead and over 240 kidnapped, and after weeks of criticism over its silence about evidence of sexual violence during the attack, the women’s rights group UN Women issued a statement condemning the terror group on Friday.

Then it deleted the post.

“We condemn the brutal attacks by Hamas on October 7 and continue to call for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages,” read the initial statement, posted on UN Women’s Instagram page. It was soon replaced with a statement that dropped the condemnation of Hamas and only called for the release of the hostages.''

''Some of the critics — including Israel’s First Lady Michal Herzog and Sheryl Sandberg, a former top Meta executive — have lobbied openly on the topic. Many have used the hashtag “#MeToo_UNless_UR_A_Jew.”

''On Monday, the Knesset held a session on crimes against humanity committed against women during the assault.

After an initial statement on October 13 condemning the attacks on civilians in Israel, all of UN Women’s public comments about the war and its impact on women had centered only on Palestinians.''

Wouldn’t be amazing if politicians around the world were concerned and discussing this right now?

It’s dehumanising and cruel.
Agreed wholeheartedly that a political solution must be found to address the intolerable situation the Palestinians of the Gaza strip have lived under for quite some time.

Snip
A blockade has been imposed by Israel and Egypt on the movement of goods and people in and out of the Gaza Strip since 2007 following Hamas' takeover in 2007. The blockade aimed to isolate Hamas and prevent the smuggling of weapons into Gaza. It has also led to significant humanitarian challenges, as it restricts the flow of essential goods, contributes to economic hardship, and limits the freedom of movement for Gaza's residents.[1]

Exit and entry into Gaza is prohibited by sea and air. There are only three crossings to go in and out of Gaza, two of them controlled by Israel and one by Egypt. According to a 2022 report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the blockade has significantly reduced movement of people and goods due to reduction in number of exit permits by Israel.[2]

Trigger warning
Please watch the eye witness account of Sheri Mendes, who volunteered in a morgue, about the state of women who were murdered, mutilated, tortured and sexually abused during the #Oct7Massacre.Let’s be clear: those who fail to recognize the gender based violence directed at Israeli women are UNFIT to lead any global campaign to advance human/women’s rights.

Its the ZAKA worker who was on scene giving an account of what he saw. I haven’t seen this particular one anywhere else.

Nothing can justify the atrocities committed on October 7, two sides or not. I’m not Jewish OR Palestinian, and had Israel done what Hamas did on October 7, I’d be denouncing them instead.

Some atrocities, from my post a few days ago. Seems a reminder is needed, which is BAFFLING to me. If people don’t get this by now, they never will.

——

Bringing forward this video, not sure what part of this people aren’t getting.

WARNING EXTREMELY GRAPHIC:
Yes, these Hamas dogs did exactly all this. Then on their own media displaying the hostage returns, there is Hamas putting their arms around their captives, carrying old women, waving goodbye to them. Like the best of friends.

Satan’s propaganda.

Hellfire is too good for them.

More evidence that fundamental changes are needed in Israel in regards to Palestinians. Israeli law allows for people to be detained indefinetly with out charges.

Make me wonder if Israel also kidnaps and also takes hostages- well, "In Spirit and in Truth". Israel clearly does not take hostages according to the letter of Israeli law- wink, nod.

One famous Israeli scholar, however advocated going meaning- beyond letter of the law type considerations. It might be time to listen to him via reforms. He seemed to know a lot about human relations.

I dont expect that Israel match the US law requiring charges in 72 hours or release. The Netherlands (also a real democracy) allows for 30 days of detention with out charges before mandatory release is required.

Israel faces real threats. I could support say, 3-4 months of detention with out charges. But, held indefintely with out charges? Something seems strange- like say, finding "abandoned" land.

80% of the detained Palestinians that Israel is willing to release in hostage exchanges have not been charged with a crime at al..
"Enemy combatants"...Like we used in Gitmo. However, this has been going on for 55 years.

They say, "The West Bank is not Israel", so why are they have been over there for 55 years?

West Bank isn't a sovereign state. Israel won the territory from Jordan in 1967. They want the land, but not the people.

The US doesn't have troops inside Mexico to prevent crime from coming to this US.
But of course, Mexico is a sovereign state.

If a Palestinian commits a crime in Israel, they are generally tried in civilian court. If they commit a crime in the West Bank, which Israel claims it isn't part of Israel, they are considered "enemy combatants" and sent to military detention.

The general consensus is: The Hamas terrorists who broke the fence and will likely be tried in civilian court, not military because the crimes happened in Israel.

It's like the old saying, "The US can do what we want to Indians because they are not part of the US". (That was why they set up the reservation system)

During the 1st plenary meeting of the 20th session of the
@UNIDO GC, Permanent Representative @DavidRoet
had some harsh criticism towards the outgoing President of the 19th session, for failing to recognize and condemn the horrific and inhuman atrocities committed by Hamas on 7 October 2023, as so many other UN bodies do.

Palestinian prisoners swapped are criminals, unlike Israeli hostages

While Hamas kidnapped children, Israel simply arrested those who attempted to commit violent crimes and acts of terror. The situations of the exchanged were not the same.

But because the vast majority of the Palestinians being released are women or minors and all of the Israelis being released are women or minors, many in the global media have lost sight of the fact that the Palestinians have all been convicted or charged of violent crimes, many of terror crimes.

More detailed info on the prisoners:

I don’t know if they were allowed to have elections today or in the past decade if they would vote for Hamas or not.

But I find the possibility that they might to be terrifying.
They likely would. Hamas uses tons of propaganda and conspiracy theories

Since this is in the mainstream media now, I can share one of the conspiracy theories. This is the stuff that is peddled and this is what they believe:

There are many other CT out there, but they aren't in MSM.

There are not appropriate words in the English language to describe the feelings I have toward HAMAS. I didn't think it could get worse than it already was and yet here we are, it's worse.

Animals behave better than these disgusting terrorists. If the Palestinians don't stand up and revolt against these animals, then they are choosing their fate. There is ZERO reason to do what was done on Oct 7th to find out how hostages have been treated and violating the cease fire, it's just disgusting and HAMAS has made it abundantly clear they are NOT operating FOR Palestinians so why the flip do Palestinians support HAMAS now? I can understand how they felt they had to before, but at this point Israel is there to FREE them from these barbaric animals and I sure hope they all see what is right in front of them and what is being exposed about how HAMAS was stealing from them all along.
