What if Hamas and their fellow terrorists say the lady and her babies are in a part of the city, so the IDF can't use force, and they're not there or are deceased ?
Terrorists lie.

The IDF needs to go in and do what they must, and try if possible to rescue anyone else.
Sickening that some Gazan civilians may be hiding kidnap victims in their homes.
Omo.

Palestinian health ministry: Eight-year old and 15-year old shot dead by Israeli forces in West Bank

Two boys, one 8-years old and the other 15-years old, where shot and killed by Israeli forces on Wednesday in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, the Palestinian health ministry said.

In a statement reported by Agence France-Presse, the health ministry said, “Adam al-Ghul, eight years old, and Bassem Abu el-Wafa, 15 years old, were killed by bullets from the occupier [Israel].”

CCTV footage circulating online shows what appears to be one of the boys running for cover in the street before being shot and falling to the ground. Someone else then runs towards the boy and drags him away, leaving behind a trail of blood.

Another video shows what appears to the other boy getting shot and falling to the ground. The boy can be seen struggling on the ground for over half a minute.

According to an official with the Palestinian Red Crescent who spoke with AFP, the boys were on a side street of central Jenin’s main thoroughfare, which is an area theoretically off limits to the Israeli army as it is under sole control by the Palestinian Authority, AFP reports.

Asked about the deaths by AFP, the army said that “a number of suspects” had hurled explosive devices toward troops.

“The soldiers responded with live fire toward the suspects and hits were identified,” it said in a statement.

According to the health ministry, since October 7, violence in the West Bank has increased significantly, with nearly 240 Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers or Israeli settlers.

And the UN and WHO want humanitarian aid to continue. While the citizens of Gaza try to prevent our hostages and IRC from leaving.

I understand being Pro-Palestinians.. most all of us are and want nothing but the best for them (and HAMAS is not it)

I understand being upset and against the bombing in Gaza.

I understand having peaceful protests in support of those in Gaza who are not part of HAMAS.. not part of Oct 7th, not supportive of it, etc.

I do NOT understand taking the "protest" to the point you harm victims of the Oct 7th massacre.

It does nothing for Palestinians to prevent the family members of VICTIMS from going to their hotel. What message does that send them? Their loved one that was killed Oct 7th or that is being held by terrorists.. is not important.

(Naama was the girl in the black Jeep with the bloody pants and slashed achilles)
Naama Levy (19) is young Israeli peace activist. She was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7th. We must bring her home. Every minute counts.

I admit I'm a little nervous about this release.
Will hamas renege, with no ceasefire deal on the table?
Moo

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says the hostage deal being carried out tonight is still underway, with 10 more Israeli hostages due to be released by Hamas.

We are continuing to progress this evening with the deal to return the hostages, as agreed upon,” Hagari says.

He says there are currently 159 hostages being held in the Gaza Strip.

And how many were rescued by the Army?

One.

The lives of hostages depend solely on diplomatic efforts/negotiations IMO.

I keep wondering, "Where are they?"
Then I get them confused with the two Russian women released about 4 hours ago...sigh...

A Thai worker who was held hostage by Hamas with Israelis told Channel 12, "The Jews who were held with me were treated very harshly, sometimes they were beaten with electric cables.”He says they were allowed to shower once in the nearly 50 days they were held hostage.

Sure looks like Hamas supporters around those cars... all with their juiced-up phones/cameras. None too weak nor harmed to hiss, yell and do whatever other angry thing they do. And, none tired and crying "Have mercy on us! We've been standing in line all day for fuel."

One of the recently released hostages was held for 50 days in the attic of an UNRWA teacher, Channel 13 News correspondent @bokeralmog
reported. Another abductee was held captive by a Gazan doctor who, simultaneously, cared for children.

I think the military action in Gaza is what put enough pressure on HAMAS to give in and make a deal. If Israel didn't go in, then all that would have happened was HAMAS firing endless rockets at Israel while what.. Israel waited for HAMAS to get tired of that and magically decide to release hostages in exchange for what? I think the Army did it's job and rescuing hostages was not likely going to be part of it.. putting enough pressure on HAMAS to finally agree to a deal is what worked. Finding HAMAS's hiding spots, taking their weapons, destroying their tunnels. Without that pressure what reason would HAMAS have to cut a deal?

"In multiple phone calls in October, Biden impressed upon Netanyahu that there was a path for a large group of hostages to be released. On October 24, Hamas appeared to agree to the parameters of a deal to release women and children hostages. American and Israeli officials furiously deliberated whether Israel should delay its ground invasion.

Ultimately, Israel wasn’t convinced. At this point, they still had no proof of life of any of the hostages that Hamas claimed to have, and they also didn’t buy Hamas’ claim that they couldn’t determine the identities of the hostages until there was a pause in fighting."

So HAMAS was trying to "make a deal" and as of Oct 24th, 17 days after the Oct 7th attack and abduction of the hostages, Israel didn't even have identities, ages or any proof of life for ANY of the hostages. No wonder Israel wouldn't make a deal. Then for HAMAS to say it couldn't confirm the identity of any hostages until there was a pause in fighting.. HA okay manipulation at it's finest. Israel didn't bite and they shouldn't have. The military pressure worked!

Israel holds kids/teens/adults without ever pressing charges or a trial.
This can go on for months or years.
Their lawyers are not even told by Israelis why they're being held.
Here's more info.on Israeli's detaining Palestinians.

Under Israeli law, people can be held in administrative detention for up to six months, but the term can be renewed indefinitely.3 hours ago

Release of Palestinian prisoners sheds light on controversial ...
