I just don't think that "Land Grab" is the appropriate term to be utilizing when:

<RSBM>

Palestine has rejected "Two-State" solutions on more than one occasion in the 75 years since. Although, as I stated at the begining of this war, a two-state solution would be optimal, I am also quite certain that the dynamics of the October 7th 2023 Massacre has doe much to scuttle any faith and confidence in the belief that Palestine has any desire to agree to such and to live peacefully; The "From Palestine to the Sea" genocidal mantra doesn't hep things out any IMO.

The other side of the coin is the 670,000 Israelis that are living in settlements encroaching West Bank - what has been deemed to be Palestinian land.

And that the Israeli people are also (majority-wise) not in favour of a two-state solution.

Two-state solution losing grounds in Israel and Palestine even before terror attacks, surveys show

If there is going to be ANY success in establishing peace in the region, I feel we must look at both sides of the story. The solution will lay somewhere in the middle.

imo

(I think his X was hacked….or the pressure is on today)

There are numerous accounts of sexual violence during the abhorrent acts of terror by Hamas on 7 October that must be vigorously investigated and prosecuted.Gender-based violence must be condemned. Anytime. Anywhere.
I certainly wouldn't put much stock in this. This was all obvious from day one and it was crickets from the UN. Only after the last couple of weeks of pressure does this come out. But Hamas is committing horrific human rights violations on a daily basis and the UN looks away, so I don't expect this to be any different.

I fear for Noa and Naama. Where are they? Why are they not released yet? Seems young men are being released before the young women still left there?
I know, we are all not wanting to think the worst.

This is really shameless propaganda.

668 people were interviewed for this survey.

We also had this survey circulate in our thread a few times, and it’s always posted as if it represents 75% of the whole of the Palestinian population despite corrections from other posters.

668 people were interviewed.

Here are the names of the 12 Israeli hostages released by Hamas today, including the two women with dual Israeli and Russian citizenship who were released earlier today:

  • Liat Atzili, 49
  • Yarden Roman Gat, 36
  • Raz Ben Ami, 57
  • Raaya Rotem, 54
  • Liam Or, 18
  • Ofir Engel, 17
  • Amit Shani, 16
  • Gali Tarshanksy, 13
  • Moran Stela Yanai, 40
  • Itai Regev, 18
  • Elena Trupanov, 50 (released earlier today)
  • Irena Tatti, 73 (released earlier today)

In total, six of those freed tonight were kidnapped from Kibbutz Beeri.

With Elena Trupanov and Irena Tatti, they are from Russia and either mother-daughter or MIL/daughter. If I am not mistaken, there are Trupanov-son and Trupanov-father. Where are they?
ETA: sorry, a mistake. Father, Vitaly Trupanov, was killed immediately. Son Sasha and his GF Sapir Cohen are in captivity (if...) So you see the pattern, older women and sometimes, less frequently, women are released. Dual citizenship a plus. Young women, kids, young men...?

Well, that makes it even worse, doesn’t it.

Where is the credibility?

Israel is losing / has lost the PR campaign with such cheap tricks.
As opposed to the daily lies of Hamas and that fact they are still holding INFANTS as hostages?

Noa and Naama, and isn't Mia Shem still being held? I really hate to say this but from the video of Naama, I am guessing they will never release her.

Why do you need to compare them?

One of them is a terrorist organization. Do you want people to put Israel and Hamas in the same category in terms of expectations?

Israeli spokespeople should not be spreading lies.

If this person was representing my country, I would not be happy and I certainly would not be making excuses for them.

I think the point is that there is propaganda coming from both sides.

I fear for baby Kfir Bibas - why did Hamas turn him over to another terrorist organisation? The Telegraph (UK) is saying that Hamas say he has been killed. :(

Mia potentially might be released because she survived till the video. The other ones, I think HAMAS would have released them. But, never lose hope.

Maybe reports of his people hiding hostages ?

Naama is military. They won't release her with the civilians if she is alive. Next on the list are more children, women, older men and fathers. Single men, then military. Noa is also an adult. So, the women they are releasing in this order: Older women or women with health issues, mothers without their children, young women.

It may be that Hamas is saying they turned the Bibas' over to another organization because they are now dead (one way or another) and they want to try to deflect responsibility for that.

Hamas is the duly elected governing body of Gaza. They speak for the people. And they are lying every day regarding the hostages. Sure Israel engages in propaganda, everyone does. But they also more often than not are telling the truth and support it. Besides, is Eylon spreading lies?

I pointed out a specific example of brazen misinformation and propaganda from him.

If you wish, you can instead talk about Hamas.

It doesn’t change what he did.

ETA: I will now need to question everything he says as he’s proven himself to be unreliable in terms of credible information.
