The massive tunnel network has been revealed and explored.
Not all of them, as there are possible traps.

There are many msm links, but here are two :

"Israel releases footage of drone exploring 'huge 55m-long Hamas tunnel under al-Shifa hospital' amid hopes a ceasefire deal to release hostages and allow aid into Gaza could soon be struck...."

Amazing.

55 meters, and much of the tunnels have not been shown yet !

It helps that there are photos and video evidence.

"...And yet on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces said three Hamas fighters burst out of a tunnel hidden beneath the soldiers’ feet to launch an ambush with assault rifles and rocket-propelled grenades. No Israeli troops were killed, the IDF said, but the tunnel represented a threat deep behind the front line.

“So now we’re going to blow it up,” said an Israeli officer. Moments later, a heavy explosive sent a plume of deep-red sand skyward. One tunnel down, many more to go...."

Bbm.

Thank goodness the IDF weren't murdered.
Calling it what it is.

This is a war and if Israel doesn't strike hard, Hamas and other terrorist groups mean to kill all of them.
But yes, the tunnels are real and dangerous.

<modsnip: Removed broken quotes>

Israel has the one of most advanced technology in the world (billions of funds sent by the US) and one of the best militaries, they would have found Hamas already.

I found that article interesting because I didn’t realize Israel had tried and failed to assassinate them in the past.
That has to be frustrating and embarrassing for Israel...

Good report, imo.

I wonder if this was Sinwar's doing...
Hamas sure wanted alot of prisoners and wanted the more dangerous ones too. Way above the 3 to 1 ratio.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was Sinwar's doing.

Hamas considered some of the women to be soldiers. Israel didn't. (Maybe some of the women were in training or reserves or something like that..not sure)

However, the crazy amt of prisoners that Hamas wanted was a big NO for me.

The fates of dozens of hostages are left in question.

Mr. Jabareen said Hamas had made three other proposals, all of which involved small numbers of Israelis in exchange for dozens of Palestinian prisoners. Previous exchanges during the seven-day truce generally called for the release of three Palestinian prisoners for every hostage freed.

One proposal included Hamas trading what it said were the bodies of the mother and two children from the Bibas family for a few dozen Palestinians detained by Israel since 2014, Mr. Jabareen said.

Hamas announced this week that the three — Shiri Bibas, 32; Ariel Bibas, 4; and Kfir Bibas, 10 months old — had been killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza. The Israeli military has said it is seeking to verify the information.
Hamas also proposed exchanging the family’s father, Yarden Bibas, who the group says is still alive, for a few dozen of the longest-serving Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, including some held since the ’80s, Mr. Jabareen said.

Another Hamas proposal would have required both sides to release all captives over age 60, and another roughly 130 Palestinian prisoners, many of them detained in the aftermath of Hamas’s surprise Oct. 7 attacks on Israel.

Israel rejected all those proposals, Mr. Jabareen said

Israel has been colonizing, murdering and displacing Palestinians for decades. The Palestinians have had their homes, land and freedoms stripped from them And still don't even have a military or any resources like Israel does. I used to love Israel and visiting my cousins and aunt. I was raised To believe an alternative reality of what actually is going on and the atrocities Israel govt has done. What Hamas did was horrific too, but it wasn't out of left field.

I just think it shows how elusive these terrorists can be. It doesn’t help that they seem to be able to find safe harbor in other nations.

ETA- Look at bin Laden. It took a very long time to finally find him.

Sounds like Sinwar is like many other high level terrorists. Afraid.. not using electronic for fear of being tracked. If that is true that sounds like Bin Laden. He had an elaborate plan for everything and lived in a compound in his final years. We found him. Israel will find Sinwar. Wouldn't it be great if someone close to him turns on him. It just takes one tip at the right time. His days are numbered and it must make him live in fear.

I hear what you're saying, but at some point, at some level, there has to be a "time out"-- where "enough is enough" (for both sides). jmo

I don't know what technology you are referring to, but there are buildings over the tunnels in Gaza. Can you cite what technology exists that would expose the exact location of tunnels, their entrances, exits etc. under these circumstances? So the tunnels don't exist because Israel can locate, enter and extract Hamas if there are tunnels, is that what you are saying?

There was a time out. Hamas broke it on October 7.

They have resources. They spend it on all the wrong things. No shelters. No infrastructure. No education. They had plenty of weaponry on 10/7 and every day since. They didn’t shoot, butcher and incinerate 1,200 people with rock, paper, scissors.

The roots of this conflict stretch back far beyond October 7, deeply entwined with the constant rejection of peaceful coexistence. The refusal to recognize Israel's legitimacy isn't just about land; it's a deeper issue of denial and supremacy. The ongoing struggle isn't for territory but for Israel's right to exist as the Jewish homeland. The moment this truth is accepted, the path to peace becomes clear. Israel stands firm, defending its right to exist against a backdrop of continuous hostility.Like I said earlier, when the Palestinians are willing to live next to Israel and not instead of Israel, peace will be possible.

And there were some of the victims themselves who were directly involved in peaceful efforts, driving Palestinians to their medical appointments, one set to fly a kite for peace that very day, peace activists…

They murdered and kidnapped Muslims. They don’t care about peace activists.

Billions of US dollars have been poured into Gaza as well. Israel chose to turn their desert into an agricultural wonder. Israel also invested in education and developed some of the most useful and widespread technology existing today (you wouldn’t have your cell phone without it).

Palestine chose to fight every day all day to keep Israel from even existing, and the terrorist rulers stir the pot continually rather than doing anything for their people.

You know that there is not one guy named Mr. Hamas who can be readily located, right? It’s a vast and secretive network with both a death wish and a murder fetish. It’s not a real military but an amorphous group of terrorists who hide both underground and beneath their own children.

The Hamas charter, like all Islamist extremist mission statements, calls for the destruction of all Jews as well as all Christians, all Hindus, all Buddhists, all Shinto followers etc. because everyone not Muslim is considered as an infidel.

So whether you are actually Jewish or not, whether you are in Israel or not, unless you yourself are a Muslim extremist they will come for you one day.
