I think that some people in Israel knew that something was going to happen soon. It is interesting to look at things said prior to this, that basically predicted a revolt. What occurred was wrong, but maybe this was the only way Hamas felt they could be heard.
If you continue to beat a dog, you can't blame the dog for biting you.
So which one of those beheaded babies was beating Hamas’ dog?
Or maybe you were referring to Israel as the dog, because they have been beaten and abused by terrorists and hostile Arab countries for decades while being told to show restraint in responding.

I am sorry but there is no equivalence here.
What happened was “wrong?” IMO that word is thousands of miles too mild for what Israeli civilians endured and the manners in which they were killed.
If butchering babies was the ”only way Hamas felt they could be heard,” they deserve every bit of hell that can befall each and every one of them. In this life and for all eternity.
Slaughtering 1200+ people, from infants to people in their 90s, mostly civilians, is no “dog bite.”
IMO it would be a better analogy to say you continued to beat your dog, and then your dog chewed your face off, and chewed your children’s faces off, and your spouse’s face, and your parents’ faces, and the faces of all your neighbors and friends, and then ran through your entire neighborhood chewing off the faces of people with whom your dog has never had any contact, and then ran back and tore all of you limb from limb and set you all on fire.
Again I’m sorry to be blunt but this is not “wrong,” like an incorrect answer in Math.
This is atrocious, ineffable, inhumane, monstrous, insane and sick. This is unforgivable. This is from the devil in hell and Hamas will spend eternity that way.

A security review is under way after a protester removed an Israeli flag from Sheffield town hall during a pro-Palestine rally in the city.
Footage posted on social media showed two people scaling the 60-metre (200ft) tall building during a demonstration on Tuesday evening.
The flag is seen to be thrown from the landmark Victorian building and replaced with the Palestinian flag, to cheers from those gathered below.
Reports that the Israeli flag was destroyed were not true, according to a Sheffield city council spokesperson who said it was handed back to officials from the local authority.
The council leader, Tom Hunt, said: “Everyone has the right to safe and peaceful protest but we cannot support the events that took place during the protest outside Sheffield’s town hall.

The force said “minor disorder” led to the two suspects fleeing the scene when officers attempted to disperse the crowds.

The spokesperson said the council had displayed the Israeli flag to show solidarity.

Hamas designed this attack to then hide among their own civilians, to hide behind mothers, children, elderly. Hamas decided to use their own people as shields. My heart breaks for innocent people in such harm, and it is unbelievable that their own leaders in Hamas purposely planned to use civilians bodies to protect the fighters.

Gaza hospitals have become refugee camps, says surgeon
British-Palestinian surgeon, Ghasan Abu Sitta, says the hospital where he's working in Gaza has turned into a refugee camp."People are afraid and so they're bringing their families to stay in the compound of the hospital as a safe space," he told the Today programme earlier.
The surgeon said there was a "continuous stream of wounded people", but that his Shifa hospital was already at capacity - like most other hospitals in Gaza.
"Gaza has around 2200, 2500 beds and we've already had 4500 wounded," Abu Sitta said.
'We can't call these people human'
In Israel, Menashe and Merav Ram held a funeral yesterday for their 28-year-old son Omri, who was killed by Hamas militants at the Supernova music festival on Saturday.Early on Saturday, when Hamas began firing rockets into Israel, Omri called his parents, telling them of the attack.
In a second phone call he said: "Dad, it's more serious. People are injured."
Menashe said Omri was going to jump in the car and drive to safety. But then the connection became weak and they lost contact.
"I felt like something was happening," Merav told the Today programme earlier. "I told Menashe something was wrong."
Of the attackers, Menashe said: "I don't know if we can call these kinds of people humans. Humans do not do these kind of things to boys and girls that only wanted to celebrate.

Nadiya is the mother of a five-year-old boy and three-month old baby in Gaza.
She says the only way to calm the older boy, as Israeli air strikes land, is to tell him "the sound of an explosion comes a few moments after it actually happens".
It is the kind of knowledge no five-year-old should be expected to understand, but for Nadiya, it is the best way to cope.
On Monday night, Nadiya says she heard her neighbours running down the stairs shouting: "Evacuate! Evacuate!"
The young mother hesitated for a couple of seconds. Then she burst into tears.
Eventually, she left the building with her two children, but said she couldn't recognise the neighbourhood as buildings around her block had been levelled.
She's now trying to make her way to her parents' house. But, she says: "Where can you hide when death is coming from the sky?"
