Where is the demand for HAMAS to release hostages and to let the Palestinian people move to safety like Israel has been trying to get them to do?….

No civilized Army would EVER refuse to allow it's innocent civilians to get out of the way of impending attacks and they sure wouldn't put their bunkers and supplies under hospitals and schools AND then allow patients who are ill to remain in those hospitals and put innocent civilians in the schools. Their actions show they do not care for the people they are supposed to be acting on behalf of.
Obviously they do these things on purpose so they can then say “oh, look at the horrible Israelis killing babies in the NICU and elderly in the nursing homes” or whatever. They WANT these civilians to die at the hands of the Israelis.

Israel-Hamas war: Biden says Israel occupation of Gaza would be ‘big mistake’ – as it happened | Israel-Hamas war | The Guardian

Closing summary

Here’s a summary of the latest developments:
  • The Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt will reopen for aid deliveries, US secretary of state Antony Blinken has said. Speaking after a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Blinken did not give any specifics about when the crossing would reopen. US media have reported that it will open at 9am for several hours.
  • UNRWA, the UN’s agency supporting Palestinian refugees, said on Sunday that Israel’s deadly strikes on Gaza have led to an “unprecedented human catastrophe” as Gaza’s death toll rises to 2,670 with 9,600 injured. Speaking to reporters, Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner general of UNRWA, said: “If we look at the issue of water, we all know water is life and Gaza is running out of water and Gaza is running out of life.”
  • Over 1,000 people were missing under the rubble of buildings in Gaza that have been targeted by deadly Israeli airstrikes, the Palestinian civil defence said on Sunday. In a statement, the civil defence team said many others were pulled alive out of the rubble, 24 hours after buildings were struck.
  • Gaza health officials have started to store bodies in ice-cream freezer trucks because moving them to hospitals is too risky and cemeteries are running out of space. Videos posted online showed bodies wrapped in white cloth stacked inside the empty trucks.
  • Israeli officials said they were restoring limited water supplies to southern Gaza, amid a wider water crisis, after a call between US President Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
  • US and Israelis officials are discussing the possibility of a visit to Israel soon by Biden at the invitation of Netanyahu, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Sunday. A potential visit by Biden would follow similar visits from other high-ranking US officials including secretary of state Antony Blinken and defense secretary Lloyd Austin. Blinken is due to return to Israel on Monday for a second round of talks with Netanyahu.
  • Biden, speaking to CBS, said he is “confident” Israel will act under the rules of war in its conflict with Palestine, and added deploying US troops is not necessary. In an interview with 60 Minutes, Biden said that while he believes Hamas must be eliminated entirely, there must be a path for a Palestinian state. And he cautioned that the threat of terrorism in the United States had increased due to unrest in the Middle East.
  • Reserves of fuel at all hospitals across the Gaza Strip are expected to last only about 24 more hours, the United Nations humanitarian office (OCHA) said on Monday. “The shutdown of backup generators would place the lives of thousands of patients at risk,” OCHA said on its website.
  • More than 600,000 Gazans have so far moved to the southern part of the Gaza strip near the Egyptian border city of al-Arish, before an expected Israeli ground offensive. International aid workers in Gaza described an unprecedented situation of “humanitarian collapse”.
  • The US has warned that the war between Israel and militant group Hamas could escalate, as American warships headed to the area amid growing clashes on the country’s northern border with Lebanon. “There is a risk of an escalation of this conflict, the opening of a second front in the north and, of course, Iran’s involvement,” White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan told CBS.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced deployment of a second aircraft carrier group late on Saturday, calling it a sign of “our resolve to deter any state or non-state actor seeking to escalate this war.”
  • Iran’s foreign minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, said the US would suffer “significant damages” if the war in Gaza spills over into a larger conflict, Al Jazeera reported on Sunday. “We have conveyed our message to the Zionist regime through its allies that if they do not cease their atrocities in Gaza, Iran cannot simply remain an observer,” Iranian state media cited Amir-Abdollahian as telling the network.
  • UN secretary-general António Guterres called on Hamas to release hostages without conditions and called on Israel to allow for rapid and unimpeded humanitarian aid access to Gaza. “Each one of these two objectives are valid in themselves. They should not become bargaining chips and they must be implemented because it’s the right thing to do,” Guterres said. The Middle East is on the brink of an “abyss”, he said.
  • The Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro, has said that he spoke by phone to the Palestinian Authority president, Mahmoud Abbas, on Sunday regarding the situation in Gaza. Maduro told Abbas that Venezuela would send 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza in the next few days, Reuters reports.
  • Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said the actions and policies of Islamist group Hamas do not represent Palestinian people, according to official news agency Wafa, although it later removed direct references to Hamas from its report. In a phone call with Maduro, “the president affirmed his rejection of the killing of civilians on both sides and called for the release of civilians, prisoners and detainees on both sides,” added the news agency.
  • Amnesty International has verified six videos of an attack on Salah al-Din road – a supposedly “safe” route for Palestinians feeling Gaza – that killed at least 70 people. It went on to condemn Israel’s forced evacuations of Palestinians from Gaza, saying: “Israel’s order to ‘evacuate’ is NOT compliant w/ [international humanitarian law] & must be rescinded.”
  • France has warned Iran “against any escalation or extension of the conflict” between Israel and Hamas, the French presidential office announced on Sunday. During a phone call between the French president, Emmanuel Macron, and his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi, Macron warned against any conflict spillover into Lebanon.
  • Leaders from the EU’s 27 member states have issued a statement outlining their position on the situation in the Middle East. “The European Union condemns in the strongest possible terms Hamas and its brutal and indiscriminate terrorist attacks across Israel and deeply deplores the loss of lives,” the European Council said.
  • In a call with the Vatican, Israel’s foreign ministry said it expected the “Vatican to be more attentive to the suffering to Israelis.” The country’s foreign minister also called for a clear Vatican condemnation of deadly terrorism against Israelis and reiterated Israel’s right to defend itself.

You know what kills me?

The fact that there is plenty of food, fuel and bottled water in the Gaza right now. Hamas wasn't just stockpiling weapons for what they knew would come after their terror attacks of 7/10. They've got plenty of what they need to carry on 'their struggle' and to look after their own terroristic butts, rest assured.

Ask Hamas why they aren't bringing water, food and fuel to their Gazan Hospitals from their tunnel depots. Or to their citizens. Because. They. Do. Not. Care. Everything is Israel's fault.

''In the various kibbutzim they attacked nearby, their behaviour descended to a whole new level of depravity.

They didn't just kill - they took their time. They bound families, tortured them, and eventually murdered them.

This is something fundamentally different to the behaviours of Hamas we have seen in the past.

I've met Hamas on many occasions and interviewed their fighters.

They were always much more like a militia at war with Israel, rather than bloodthirsty killers and torturers.

Something has changed.''
-- a whole new level of depravity

Evil is the enemy of all that is good. Do not underestimate what the powers of evil can do when good is absent. Evil and hatred has infiltrated the army of Hamas and filled the hearts of the commanders and its Allies in an unholy cause.

Killing provides foolish pleasure and feeds their wicked insatiable appetite for inflicting more misery, more torture, more death and more destruction. Leave no stone unturned.

Destroy them before they destroy us.

Israel-Hamas war live updates: Foreign national Palestinians can cross from Gaza into Egypt on Monday, officials say (nbcnews.com)

Biden expresses shock at Muslim child's stabbing death in Illinois

Biden said tonight in a statement that he and first lady Jill Biden were "shocked and sickened" by the murder of a young Palestinian Muslim immigrant in his home in Illinois.

The boy, Wadea Al-Fayoume, age 6, was stabbed 26 times yesterday in his family's home in Plainfield. His mother also was stabbed and critically wounded.

The family's landlord, Joseph Czuba, 71, has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and two counts of committing a hate crime.

"The child’s Palestinian Muslim family came to America seeking what we all seek—a refuge to live, learn, and pray in peace," the statement said. "This horrific act of hate has no place in America, and stands against our fundamental values: freedom from fear for how we pray, what we believe, and who we are."
It truly is sickening and goes to show how damaging and dangerous political rhetoric can be when it lands in the wrong ears attached to a deranged head.

The old man who traveled to D.C. and shot Steve Scalise and others at a baseball game was a deranged jerk from Illinois. iirc, he had a history of domestic violence. It won't surprise me if this old jerk does, as well.

Wow, must watch video.

So this guy is like a Bin Laden or someone.

Quick google on “Khan Younis,” city in the southern Gaza Strip, from yesterday:

Eta3:

Oh noooo, I just thought of something…(switching topics real quick)

If Iran gets involved, which I’ll pretty much say it’s clearly thrown itself in the mix to put it lightly, they have sophisticated hacking groups, etc., some of which are linked to Russia…

Super quick link for reference/article from 18 April 2023

Iranian-Russian cooperation on hack attacks may challenge Israeli cyber supremacy

A recent bid to bring down Israeli websites by a group believed linked to Moscow suggests Tehran is getting help upping its cyber warfare capabilities after years of being stymied

Wow, so there is a major active potential cyber element here.

More from the above April 2023 article:

“When the websites of Israeli banks, telecom firms, the postal service, and more were taken down by hackers on Friday, the attack came as less than a surprise.

For years, the last Friday of Ramadan — dedicated to anti-Israel rallies championed by Iran under the banner of “Jerusalem Day” — has been accompanied by hacker groups trying to disrupt Israeli life. As in years past, Friday’s cyberattack barely registered a blip, causing only minor service interruptions according to Israeli authorities. What is significant, however, is who may have been responsible and what message that sends to Israel.

The attack was claimed by a group that goes by the name of “Anonymous Sudan,” which is thought to have no meaningful connection to the Anonymous hacking collective or the Saharan country currently locked in deadly civil strife.

Rather, experts believe the group has strong links to Russia, and given Iran’s prominent role in directing anti-Israel activity to mark Jerusalem Day, many see its fingerprints behind the cyber-assault as well.

If confirmed, Iranian-Russian cooperation in cyberspace would mark a new stage in the long-running shadow war between Israel and Iran, which has largely been waged in computer code. Such a breakthrough would significantly affect the regional balance-of-power — in favor of the Islamic Republic.”

Looking for updates on the Rafah crossing…..should have been open for an hour or so now…

Citing a security source, ABC News reported the crossing would open for a few hours on Monday, without providing details. Reuters was not immediately able to confirm either report”

I ran out of time on my above post about Iran-Russia & Israel as related to their hacking groups, etc.

So, as mentioned yesterday, I’ve been asking/trying to process exactly what Iran means when it says it “will intervene” and there will be “far-reaching consequences” and “earthquake,” and as stated I was thinking they’re possible hinting at missiles, but not only that, I bet JMO one tactical approach might also be cyber-based. I bet that’s what they are going to (try) to (also) do, if they’re not already.

I see an escalated cyber war ahead. Jmo.

This is a Reuters pic of all the trucks waiting to get in with humanitarian aid at the Rafah crossing.

A ceasefire is meant to commence in southern Gaza at the same time as the border crossing opens (6am) and the ceasefire will run for several hours (undetermined how long at the moment). They think the border crossing will be open until 2pm on the first day.

Cyber is a real possibility. I also see continuing support of Hezbollah and Hamas. If that doesn't work for them, they will find some other avenue etc.

Keep in mind Russia is too busy with Ukraine get involved in a war in Israel.
This leaves N Korea and China.
Also Pakistan has had nuclear bombs for several decades, but they're in constant war with India. Both countries have atomic bombs. But I think both countries have bombs pointed at each other, but they have never used them.
But I just can't see these countries coming to Iran's aid in a war with Israel.

India has already stated that they support Israel.

Maybe N Korea would do it, but...really???

Turkey is also another possible ally for Iran, but Turkey is part of NATO.

Iran would likely rely on the Middle East for any axis power. But Iran doesn't have many friends in the ME, except Syria and maybe Lebanon. Saudi Arabia and Iran don't get along. I don't know where they stand with Iraq. But you get the picture. It really is likely to be "more of the same".

Behind all the repressive tactics of Iran's Islamic Revolution, I think it's more sophisticated than westerners think it is.
For instance, women are allowed in most professions and the only Islamic dress code is the simple hijab. I've heard they have good universities and good medical programs. (My sister knowns many Iranians) Anyway, they're more sophisticated than they are given credit for......Based on this, I don't think they're are as reckless as we perceive them to be.

Nope. It’s not. Sorry to say, but that’s the truth, in my opinion.

Bringing forward from last thread (thanks to whoever originally posted this).

Anyone here able to translate their names? I see their ages.

Actually, I think I/we can match some from prior posts who some of them are.

(This is just heart and gut wrenching. One of the worst things I’ve ever posted here. :( )
