I couldn’t bring over your post from the last thread, so I’m just doing a screenshot.

With due respect, I’m not certain what you’re wondering about?

Yes, allies have stood with Israel and are helping. Thank God.

But all around the world, in the Arab world but also in the Western world, there are millions of people flooding rallies demanding the death of Israel, even now, when clearly Israelis are the victims of terrible atrocities. Primarily civilians, as you know.

Israel and the U.S. have allies, but we also have enemies.

Here in my own hometown of NYC there have been rallies completely denigrating Israel and minimizing or outright denying that babies and women and the elderly were killed, raped, brutalized and kidnapped.

I’m sorry about your friend’s uncle and I definitely understand. I knew nine people in the WTC who died and I had one friend who was on one of the planes that hit the first tower. One of my friends was identified only by a bone from his palm.

Yes, it’s terrible enough without pictures, but you DID see pictures from 9/11, however it was only what cameraman could film from the outside, and some from the lobby and a staircase.

You and I and all of us saw the towers aflame, the people jumping from the windows, the buildings collapsing, people choking on dust and soot.

Had there been video of people dying inside the WTC, it would have been destroyed when the buildings fell.

If that footage were available, I would watch. The truth is true. I want to know the truth.

Israel DOES know which parts of the world don’t believe the brutal reality of what happened. We have all seen and heard them wishing death and destruction to Israel and people praising the terrorists.

I am glad that Israel is going to reveal the most macabre footage to international journalists. The announcement from Israel specifically states that so many don’t believe it could be as bad as claimed, therefore they will show it to those journalists willing to see it.

IMO, those who hate Israel and Jewish people will claim that it still didn’t happen. That Israel is using A.I. or something.

I mean there are still people who don’t believe the Holocaust is true, still people who think 9/11 was done by America.

The truth is true and I want to know the truth.

It also makes me feel that the victims did not die so alone and so in vain if we are here to bear witness.

IMO
What I am wondering is why Israel's military leader thinks it is more important to bomb Gaza rather than allow other countries to provide the humanitarian aid desperately needed by the hospitals and schools sheltering civilians and hostages trapped there with no place to go.

What I do not believe is that the continued bombing of Gaza is necessary.

Again, as has been said many times in many ways by many people in many posts, with links and videos:

1) It is necessary now to eradicate Hamas.
2) Hamas is hiding in Gaza.
3) Israel has warned civilians that they must leave the area where Hamas is headquartered because Israel does not want to harm civilians.
4) Israel informed Gazans through announcements, leaflet drops, social media etc. and did all that in Arabic so the message was unmistakable.
5) Hamas ordered the civilians to STAY.
6) Some Gazans did head South but Egypt was reluctant to allow entry to the Palestinians.
7) Some Gazans CHOSE to stay despite Israel warning multiple times that this was war and if they stayed they would come to harm.

The plight of the hostages is the primary concern—-how to eliminate Hamas and yet bring the hostages safely home? I don’t know, so I leave that to the people who are trained for this (even though this situation was unthinkable).

Furthermore, in reply to me somewhere above, you said that Iran does not have access to the 6 billion dollars.

We disagree. Officially we are told they cannot access the money. It is my opinion that they are able to access the money through illegal and nefarious means. They have Russia and China on their side, maybe North Korea, and there are ways and means and secret conduits.

They certainly have enough money to support not only their own economy, but Hamas and Hezbollah as well.

IMO it is naïve to think otherwise.

Israeli president claims chemical weapons formula found on body of Hamas militant

Directions for making a chemical weapon to use on civilian targets have been discovered on a USB drive found on the body of a Hamas terrorist involved in the October 7 attacks, Israeli President Isaac Herzog has claimed.

In a statement, Herzog's office said the USB key contained pages from a 2003 al Qaeda manual that included a diagram for a "device for dispersing cyanide agents."

Herzog's office provided two pages of the document in question, which included a crude sketch of a device made up of household items combined with chemical agents.

The statement said other content on the USB drive included "a manual for abducting captives and instructions for the use of chemical substances for mass murder."

Senior Israeli official says no Gaza ceasefire as IDF clashes with Hamas. Here's what you should know

A senior Israeli official told CNN there will be "no ceasefire" in Gaza as the United States and Qatar work to free more than 200 hostages held by Hamas in the besieged enclave.

The official told CNN they were "not aware" of US calls for a delay to Israel's expected Gaza ground operation, and said both Israel and the US want all the hostages released "as quickly as possible."

"Humanitarian efforts cannot be allowed to impact the mission to dismantle Hamas," the official said.

Here are other headlines you should know:
  • Deadly clash: An Israel Defense Forces soldier was killed and three others were wounded during a raid as part of preparations for a Gaza ground operation, an IDF spokesperson said Sunday. Earlier, Hamas said its fighters had destroyed two Israeli military bulldozers and a tank in an ambush inside Gaza, in what appears to be one of the war's first skirmishes between the two sides on the ground inside the strip. Meanwhile, the IDF says it is stepping up its airstrikes on the enclave, and once again called for civilians to leave northern parts of the strip.
  • "Bloody day" for hospitals: The death toll in Gaza since October 7 has risen to 4,651 with more than 14,245 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza. ... Some parents in Gaza have resorted to writing their children's names on their legs to help identify them, should either they or the children be killed ... doctors have been forced to reduce the duration of dialysis sessions for hundreds of kidney patients as electricity and fuel supplies dwindle, the health ministry said.
  • Aid trickles in: A CNN journalist observed at least 14 humanitarian relief trucks, sponsored by the Egyptian Red Crescent and the United Nations, entering Gaza from Egypt through the Rafah crossing on Sunday evening. ...
  • West Bank airstrike: The Israeli military said it launched an airstrike early Sunday against a mosque in the West Bank city of Jenin to thwart what it called "an imminent terror attack." ... the Palestinian foreign ministry said it views the rare strike as a “dangerous escalation” of recent violence in the occupied territory.

4) Israel informed Gazans through announcements, leaflet drops, social media etc. and did all that in Arabic so the message was unmistaken
5) Hamas ordered the civilians to STAY
6) Some Gazans did head South but Egypt was reluctant to allow entry to the Palestinians
7) Some Gazans CHOSE to stay despite Israel warning multiple times that this was war and if they stayed they would come to harm

Naive to think otherwise? Because I believe the President of the United States over Those who don't like him and want to declare war on Iran? Sorry, I'm not impressed.

Israel is not going to eradicate Hamas because Hamas isn't just in Gaza, they have been tied to other terrorist organizations throughout the Mideast for decades. US intelligence officers in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the UK said this on tonight's 60 Minutes interview which I linked. I chose to believe them.

Iran does not have access to the $6 billion dollars. I posted links. Why would the White House lie about Iran's access to it?

If Israel wants to continue to bomb Gaza and ramp up a ground invasion even though allies have asked Israel to stop so we can provide humanitarian aid to civilians trapped in Gaza hospitals and schools, that certainly is Israel's decision to make. All decisions have consequences.

We will agree to disagree. Have a nice evening.

Report: US officials advising Israel to delay ground op to allow hostage negotiations, aid into Gaza

Several US officials tell The New York Times that the White House wants Israel to allow more time for negotiations over the hostages held by terrorists in Gaza and for aid to enter the Strip, before the launch of the ground operation.

The report says the Biden administration also wants to increase readiness for any potential attacks on US targets in the region from Iran-based groups, which it believes are likely to increase as the war goes on.

Two officials told the newspaper that the message has been conveyed to Israel via US Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin, who speaks with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant almost every day. A spokesperson for Gallant would not confirm the report to the newspaper.

Additionally, US President Joe Biden spoke with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu again yesterday.

However, the report notes that US officials are concerned that the continued delay of the ground invasion could be seized upon by Iran and its allies, who have long claimed that Israel is controlled by the US.

The report notes that the US is not demanding Israel delay the ground invasion, but is instead advising it to wait, and that Washington still fully supports Israel’s aim to destroy the Hamas terror group in the wake of the deadly October 7 onslaught

I sure hope Israel listens to General Austin and Sec. Blinken.

The U.S. still controls the release of that $6 billion and how it can be used. All Iran cares about is that money, which came from selling oil to South Korea. Iranian hostages have price tags as several presidents have learned. Iran doesn't care about its own people as the hostage held for 5 years and interviewed on 60 Minutes learned. He was born in Tehran.

This article explains how the money that was released by Biden is actually Iran's money that was frozen.

"Frozen assets" , that's how it was described in the article I'd linked ... that's correct.

It's Irans' $$, but what will happen if it's released ?
Seems unlikely but not impossible, and that's scary.
Almost as if Iran wouldn't mind starting WW3.
And I'm not unconvinced that other nations would protest about a world wide conflict.
Omo.

Biden won't release it until all hostages are released and even then, the U.S. controls how the money is used.

What is scary is that other hate-filled countries can fund Iran such as Russia, North Korea, China.
If Iran tries to start WW3, it will be time to send in Seal Team 6.

Israel will do what it has to do. There are strategic reasons why Israel cannnot afford to delay the ground phase of their war on Hamas. The U.S. wishes they would do so, but understands that it may not be possible. Secretary Blinken knows this. They can advise and request, but know it is up to Israel and that only Israel knows what it needs to do in order to accomplish its goal of eradicating Hamas from its borders.

Footage shows October 7 victims dancing, laughing at desert rave ahead of massacre

Channel 12 news airs a film of some of the victims of the October 7 massacre in their final hours at the desert rave in Kibbutz Re’im.

Hamas terrorists terrorists killed over 260 partygoers as part of the devastating massacre in which over 1,400 people were slain, the vast majority civilians.

An unknown number of partygoers are among the 200-250 people held hostage in Gaza. Many of those who attended the festival were raped and injured.

The footage — some of it professional and some amateur — is set to music without a voiceover, and shows some of those killed and kidnapped as they dance and enjoy themselves at the festival, not knowing the carnage that lay ahead.

What I am wondering is why Israel's military leader thinks it is more important to bomb Gaza rather than allow other countries to provide the humanitarian aid desperately needed by the hospitals and schools sheltering civilians and hostages trapped there with no place to go.

I don't think that anyone is able to think that rationally. During a religious holiday, people of Israel were celebrating at parties and raves. They were attacked and killed, their elderly were murdered, their women and children were tortured, raped, killed and taken hostages.

I think it is rage, exactly what men should have experienced when they were unable to protect their parents, women and children. It is not the shelling and rockets - it happens there frequently, but that's impersonal. It is the personal side - attacking humans, face to face, that would be unforgivable.

We are lucky that the Israeli side is able to contain the anger and wage this war in a civil way.

(And the more photos and videos they show the world, the better given that few imagine the barbaric atrocity).

Nobody, including me, has suggested the terrorist attack in Israel was acceptable. I also do not believe terrorism or war is ever "civil."

I certainly don't agree that the Israeli side is "containing their anger." They bombed the border road between Gaza and Egypt which has delayed humanitarian aid for weeks. They cut off essential water, electricity to Gaza hospitals and schools where refugees are seeking shelter. Why?

American citizens in Israel were taken hostage by Hamas. The U.S. must protect its citizens and prepare for escalation of a war we don't want. That is exactly what Sec. Blinken, General Austin and President Biden are doing and I support them.

Good piece in my opinion:
4 hours ago: ABC News World News Tonight| Israel expands air strikes beyond Gaza

So the released hostages, JR & NR, still have 8 other family members being held.

Note to watch D. AustinIII full video, you can see/hear concern in his voice, imo. 1:50ish “What we‘re seeing is a prospect of a “significant escalation” of attacks on our troops and our people throughout the region.”

2:57 Palestinian journalist who takes video (drone) footage killed shortly after taking the footage.

3:09 Reporter helps save two wounded toddlers.

5:30ish Prospective timeline of missions, “I’m told there will be three stages to this war, first…”

Meet The Press from 13 hours ago:

What kind of people need more information to believe that 1400 civilians were tortured and murdered? Women like this:

Pretty disgusting to see this from someone here in Canada. First thing all of us at work picked up on were her Kalashnikov earrings and knew exactly what her speech would be.

Nice girl ... the kind you don't take home to mama. #Heresyoursign

LONDON/WASHINGTON, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Iran's oil output and exports jumped in August despite U.S. sanctions, according to consultants and companies that track tanker shipments, as Tehran sells to buyers including China.

Analysts said the higher exports appear to be the result of Iran's success in evading U.S. sanctions and Washington's discretion in enforcing them as the two countries seek better relations.
