So, the deception by Israel is a'okay with you despite these very real facts:?

  • More than 1 million Palestinian children and their parents are living through “pure horror” in the besieged enclave, says humanitarian group Save the Children.
  • UN General Assembly overwhelmingly approves non-binding resolution calling for a truce.
  • At least 7,326 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 7; More than 1,400 people were killed in the Hamas attack on Israel.
At this time, there is no proof that there is deception by Israel; only the truth of the photos being taken within Gaza.

I am not A'okay for instance -- with the violence perpetuated by Hamas or their allies --such as the attacks on the US military , but the actions of the innocent neighbor Hamas has attacked are certainly justified.
Israel has shown restraint for a very long time.
But they are right to defend themselves; and to point out the lies of Hamas.

Deception ... I'm lost.

This started with the murder of 1400 civilians, and 233 kidnappings. Who is supposed to make the first move here?

Israelis are living in pure horror with the constant daily onslaught of home-made missiles, dead bodies, butchered pregnant women, decapitated babies, burned toddlers, hiding in bomb shelters.

What does the UN hope to achieve with a truce? To postpone the day when Hamas terrorists must be stopped from murdering civilians?

Kill numbers released by Hamas militants from their offices beneath the hospitals are unreliable.

I disagree.
There is very real proof, as reported by the U.S. media, who have staff on the ground in Israel.

There is no way our Senate or our President is going to financially support an attack on Gaza and I'm supportive of their decisions.

Never easy to predict the future. Best to wait and see ...

It's possible to view this from different sides and that is fine.
The brutal murders and kidnapping on Oct. 7th cannot, must not be allowed to happen again.
I stand with Israel.
They need to deal with a neighbor that wants to destroy them, not only as a nation -- but as individual people.
Wiped from the earth, as it were.
This is all so sad.
The initial footage of the outdoor concert was beautiful, people from many different backgrounds coming together in harmony to dance and enjoy the music and each other's company. :(

Well, guess what? It did start with the slaughter of civilians and the U.S. supported Israel's response. But what the U.S. does not now support is Israel's slaughter of Gaza civilians.

I support the U.N. and the U.S.'s position. The U.S. warned Israel. Israel ignored the warnings.

Israel must now live with the consequences of their decisions.

The US wanted to negotiate their release.

JMO
A cease fire just gives extra time for Hamas to build up their supplies, move them around, establish a stronghold in weaker locations, and move or dispose of the hostages.

They have had plenty of time to negotiate release and there hasn't been any movement on that front. Nor will there be. Hamas has no reason to ever release any more hostages. That is their only leverage so they ain't giving it up now.

WASHINGTON, Oct 27 (Reuters) - The United States is not trying to dictate limits for Israel, the White House said on Friday, as the Israelis expanded their military operation in Gaza against Hamas militants.
(…)
White House national security spokesperson John Kirby, at a news briefing, would not comment on the Israeli expanded ground operation. But he said Washington supported Israel's right to defend itself after Hamas militants killed 1,400 people in southern Israel on Oct. 7.

"We're not drawing red lines for Israel," he said.

Egyptian report: Israel agrees to a 24-hour ceasefire under international supervision for the release of all hostages, including bodies

This was pretty much debunked yesterday by Israel:

Israeli Diplomatic Officials have stated tonight that they believe Hamas has been “Dragging their Feet” on Hostage Negotiations within Qatar in order to Delay or Halt an Israeli Invasion of the Gaza Strip, and that despite the claims made the last few days by U.S, Egyptian, and Qatari Officials there is No Breakthrough that has been seen; further stating that they are Finished with Waiting.

IDF says it will allow significantly more humanitarian aid to enter Gaza from Egypt

The Israeli military is set to allow significantly more humanitarian aid to enter the southern Gaza Strip from Egypt.

The Israel Defense Forces is hoping that the additional food, water and medical supplies will encourage more Palestinians to leave the northern part of the Gaza Strip for its south.

Israel has warned that it is heavily targeting Gaza City and other areas in northern Gaza, where Hamas is believed to have its main bases of operations.

The IDF says it will not allow fuel into the Gaza Strip, as it says it is used by Hamas to manage the fighting against Israel.

The father of one of the hostages held in Gaza calls on the public to join the vigils at Tel Aviv’s Kaplan Street to call for the return of those who have been kidnapped.

Eli Albag’s daughter Liri, 18, a surveillance soldier at the Nahal Oz army base, was taken captive by Hamas terrorists on October 7, as Hamas terrorists took control of the IDF post.

“I see the pictures of the thousands gathering in London and in New York in solidarity, but I don’t see it here in Israel,” he tells Channel 12 news, adding that members of the government have also not attended the vigil outside the Defense Ministry and the Israel Defense Forces headquarters.

“We are there every day. Come today at 7 p.m. so that everyone understands how important this is to the people,” he says.

Albag also addresses concerns that some of the hostages may be freed before others as they hold dual citizenship.

“Liri is one of the 229 hostages in Gaza, but we want them all home at once,” he says. “There should be no selection as was done during the Holocaust.”

Albag had just finished her training course and was on the job for just three days before being abducted.

Albag’s mother, Shira, last heard from her daughter at 6:30 a.m. that day, when Albag reported that she was in a field shelter, trying to avoid the rocket barrage.

When she arrived back home, Albag’s boyfriend showed Shira a Telegram video posted by Hamas, in which they were able to identify Albag being kidnapped to Gaza.

Live updates: Israel says ground operations expanding in Gaza as war with Hamas rages (cnn.com)

Sounds of heavy bombardment reverberate throughout the night near Israel's border with Gaza

[...]

In the city of Ashkelon near the Gaza border, heavy bombardment, sustained artillery fire and the roar of fighter jets were heard from the direction of the coastal enclave overnight in what appeared to be the busiest night of fighting during Israel's war with Hamas.

The IDF said Friday it was “expanding ground operations” in the Gaza Strip and “operating forcefully.” It has not given more details about the number of troops that have entered the enclave.

A substantial Israeli ground offensive has been expected ever since the October 7 attacks, in which Hamas killed more than 1,400 people and took some 200 others to Gaza as hostages. However, it is not yet clear whether the IDF announcement of an expanded operation signals the start of that push.

Meanwhile, Hamas militants continued firing rockets into Israel overnight — several alarms indicating incoming rockets were heard late into the evening in towns north of Gaza.

[...]

Earlier, an Israeli government spokesperson confirmed the IDF was "expanding its ground operations," in Gaza but said he would not comment further on the status of the military action.

"But it's important to understand what's coming up," spokesperson Eylon Levy told CNN. "The days ahead are going to be long, they’re going to be difficult, because we're going to go after the totality of the Hamas terror and governing infrastructure inside the Gaza Strip."

Very sad news. iirc, Hamas Health Minister provided names of all deceased. May they RIP.
They were considered 'dead' the moment they were taken hostage by the terrorists. A few were lucky enough to be used as pawns and returned. But the rest had very little chance of ever being released once they were taken to the tunnels. JMO

According to the @nytimes:

“Arab and Western officials say there is substance to Israeli claims of Hamas stockpiling supplies, including desperately needed food and fuel...“Hamas has hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel for vehicles and rockets; caches of ammunition, explosives and materials to make more; and stockpiles of food, water and medicine, the officials said. A senior Lebanese official said Hamas, which is estimated to number between 35,000 and 40,000, had enough stocked away to keep fighting for three to four months without resupply.”

Political pawns are very sad, indeed. My heart breaks for the families of the hostages.

Three weeks ago, during the morning hours of Shabbat, our families were slaughtered in their homes by Hamas terrorists.

They were burned alive. Shot. Decapitated. Raped.

1,400 souls wiped out in just a few hours.

Hamas=ISIS

***WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES***
This time three weeks ago, our children were murdered in their beds. Butchered while hiding in closets. Shot while playing with toys.

We will never forgive. We will never forget.

Shortly after the October 7 Massacre, one of the reporters said that the people of Gaza had a choice decades ago. They could build Dubai, or they could build Beirut. They chose Beirut. They chose war, anger, and murder over a gentle, comfortable life. Their leaders prefer Dubai, Qatar and a gentle life while inspiring an army of vicious killers who have no allegiance to, or understanding of, Islam.

Because of that choice, Gaza's neighbours need bomb shelters.
Without the army of vicious killers, HAMAS leaders would have no funds to outsource in own lavish villas in Dubai, Quatar or even London.
